27:20 in hindsight, you know what could have been a genius play? Heather voting herself off. Let's do the math. Sierra had immunity and legally couldn't have been voted out, had Sierra not messed up; she and Cody already agreed to vote Alejandro out; while Alejandro and Heather "agreed" to vote Cody out. This leaves Heather is a position where her vote doesn't affect the outcome at best or causes a tie between Alejandro and Cody at worst. Of course, she couldn't possibly imagine that Sierra would accidentally blow up the plane, BUT, from previous episodes where she experienced first hand, she knows that a surprise reward challenge not only will sabotage the outcome (since the only thing that decides what's a reward challenge or elimination round is Chris's whims), but that the voting can and WILL be shown to the contestant if it will stir up the pot further, *especially* since she herself BENEFITED from that very last one. With all of that in mind, the absolute best and smartest play Heather could have made in that moment, where she knows with absolute certainty who each person votes, was to vote for herself in case Chris was up to any shenanigans. That way, both her alliances stand, she didn't betray Al and while in the moment he might be confused at best as to why Heather voted herself off or slightly miffed that she didn't follow through with her vote, he'd get over it immediately afterwards as she didn't outright betray him

The thing I like the most about Alejandro is that the character had insecurities and was allowed to very expressive. It would been so boring if the writers always tried to make him look like this manipulating pretty boy who always needed to appear to look calm and in control.
Alejandro and Heather’s relationship is one of the two reasons World Tour is my favorite season. The second is Noah the GOAT! Also his dynamic with Owen. So good they did it twice (Ridonculous Tour).
Now imagine how cool they would look as participants in Ridonculous Race. Where there are no votes, temporary alliances, betrayals, but instead the cohesion of the couple is required from beginning to end. I would look at this
I think the reason Courtney sides with Alejandro during the finale of World Tour is because she believes that they’re a couple. You have to remember that Courtney was emotionally vulnerable after her breakup with Duncan, and Alejandro almost immediately started a false seduction on her. So, what I think happened was, due to her vulnerability, she genuinely believed they were boyfriend and girlfriend. She doesn’t seem to realize that Alejandro charmed her out of the competition since she still clearly likes him even after getting voted off. Also, when Alejandro confesses his love to Heather, Courtney is the only one who doesn't react with joy or disgust. God, for all of World Tour's faults, I still love the main plot we got with Heather and Alejandro. They were both plot relevant, had an interesting conflict with one another, and you could really see either one of them winning was absolutely peak. Island's climax was in its final three, and Gwen/Owen as a final two is actually kinda boring in comparison, while Duncan/Beth is just... so random and boring lmao.
After the extra extension Love Triangle plus one dynamic, I was actually wondering and awaiting whenever these two in particular would get looked upon. Crazy how their dynamic as well as the whole Love Triangle explosion happened within same season. Where the 26 episode format was able to provide several big plot devices within the same season and why most say World Tour was end of the Peak Era for the series.
world tour had some of the best writing man. the way they made you root for heather without changing her character, n even made alejandro grow on you,,
Heather was ALWAYS my favorite TD character, even back in Island. I remember Alejeather being one of my very first introductions to the “enemies to lovers” trope and god I’m still obsessed.
I definitely love seeing Heather and Alejandro as a couple in Total Drama! These two villains are made for each other even though Heather is annoyed with Alejandro at first, I think these two are definitely perfect for each other. Evil Love.😁😈🖤💘
I feel like this couple is a cautionary tale of what happens when a writer focuses to much on the journey of a ship being confirmed. A lot people like to see the journey but at the end there left with a generic couple fixated on love. This is why you have so many shows end with a couple getting together because writers don't want the auidence to see how boring a couple is when they get together.
Geoff and Bridgette both followed the themes of the producers rule of “Not all relationships work out” while also absolutely defying it. They formed their relationship in Island, went straight to constant second base, (Because that’s how far cartoons are allowed to go on screen) then had a huge rough patches where Geoff let greed and vanity take control of him. Then ANOTHER where Bridgette cheated on Geoff (Even though she WAS being manipulated). Then as of Ridonculous Race they were still an official couple and Geoff turns down the idea of saving a princess because he already has Bridgette. If there’s a year between Action and World Tour and a second year between World Tour and All-Stars. Those two have been canonically dating for two in-universe years, which is highly impressive.
so badly i wanna see them come to the reboot like owen and fuck up everything as a duo and then announce that they're engaged before flying away in some creative way
One of the rare couples on the show that had depth and actually went out with a good sense of closure. All Stars made them a little too lovey dovey for my liking in the finale but it’s still amazing for Total Drama standards.
Never forget how Alejandro spent the entirety of the first episode ignoring Tyler and blatantly flirting with his girlfriend, only for Tyler to be the biggest idiot ever all season and supporting Alejandro even after he was voted off by him.
@@Mr.WestcottXPersonally one of my personal favorite Foe yay of Heather x Gwen was mostly my own desire for Enemies to Lovers But Aleheather is just pure perfection.
I remember watching world tour and so wishing they would make these two "camp counselors", assisting chris in future seasons. It wouldve played to their strengths as villians and explore their dynamic as a couple, while adding something new to the series!

I remember loving this evil couple as a kid. I recorded the finale of TDWT for the sole purpose of watching to see which one would win & how. I like how you broke down their MOs so effectively. I wish they had been done differently in All Stars. They could have been the perfect evil power couple. I get a wicked rush imagining how horribly effective they could’ve been. Alejandro could plan out & play the long game, while Courtney could keep them alive in the day to day. 😈
Thank you for this palate cleanser!! Alejandro and Heather had such an interesting dynamic and it definitely improved both of their characters imo. World Tour is such a great season largely thanks to the two of them running things.
4:11 Ok, so this is actually kind of said in the show by Harold in the special before Action with him guessing why Heather is the way she is one of his guesses that she was fat once. Granted the show itself never confirmed it was true, but I guess Harold guessed it. I think Heather and Alejandro really cushioned the blow of the love triangle in World Tour. While Duncan, Courtney, and Gwen were in flames I at least had the toxic couple to follow and keep me interested. I gotta give the writers credit for making Heather of all people the person people were routing for and wanting to win.
HOT TAKE I prefer it when my ships aren't confirmed because I don't want writers ruining what I believe to be a great potentional couple in theory. It can sometimes get annoying when a shipper wants there ship to be confirmed so much they don't consider if they'll like how it's executed. Sometimes ships are better left in fanfiction because once something is cannon its out of a fans control.
Agreed. Been in a few fandoms where the fanfiction is written better than the actual media and it’s cathartic seeing ships and story come together in an actually well written way that isn’t just because. Yes, I am talking about RWBY primarily. Bumblb is terribly done and bad rep and I don’t care if I get skewered.
@@tlkfanrwbyfan8716I remember seeing the scene where they kiss, I thought it was adorable, though can I ask on why this ship doesn't work? never seen RWBY, so I don't have the context
this is exactly the same thing with the Sonic fandom, people wants their ship yet they don't realize what a big deal that would make because majority of the time, your ship being canon, doesn't always end well
@@nicoleflores2054 Team RWBY was supposed to be a sisterhood and the only reason Blake and Yang got together was because a very specific part of the fan base wanted it. And by “wanted it” I mean threw temper tantrums and sent death threats to anyone who didn’t agree. The writer’s caved and started doing their own thing which is unfortunate because Volumes 1-3 are very solid because Monty Oum hadn’t passed at that point and had things he wanted to follow. The current writers have had some moments here and there but the show is just a mess and has been for a while. I just haven’t changed my username because it’d be confusing for all my previous comments.
I watched it as it aired with a few gaps, it is a weird but great ride. Being so close to reality but also being cartoony. It’s stuck in a past but tried reinventing itself so much. There is no show like it and there might never be.

Where the 26 episode format was able to provide several big plot devices within the same season and why most say World Tour was end of the Peak Era for the series.
world tour had some of the best writing man. the way they made you root for heather without changing her character, n even made alejandro grow on you,,
These two deserved a whole show on their own 😂
For real 😂❤
the best use of “enemies to lovers” ever.
Yeah they are one of the best Villain couples out there. Like if Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) met Classic Maleficent lol.
@@toadlord8594That would be funny.😂
@@toadlord8594 And now I'm thinking about Gaston and classic Maleficent... Well mark me down as scaroused.
Thru out my time seeing this show as a kid, this takes the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" to a different levels
Although she did cheat on him-😭
so badly i wanna see them come to the reboot like owen and fuck up everything as a duo and then announce that they're engaged before flying away in some creative way
One of the rare couples on the show that had depth and actually went out with a good sense of closure. All Stars made them a little too lovey dovey for my liking in the finale but it’s still amazing for Total Drama standards.
Nothing better than being awful together ❤️
As someone who saw world tour before TDI, I didn't get the extent of the hatred other characters had for her and just rooted for this clever underdog
So happy they're finally getting attention!! Seriously the most underrated ship in total drama and cartoons in general
For real. Villains falling in love.
Never forget how Alejandro spent the entirety of the first episode ignoring Tyler and blatantly flirting with his girlfriend, only for Tyler to be the biggest idiot ever all season and supporting Alejandro even after he was voted off by him.
Alejandro and Heather were the best villains in TD, they always made it entertaining and fun.
I loved how they always matched the other's energy
Honestly? They're the one couple from the show that I would believe would last
For real. Based on their personalities
@@Mr.WestcottXPersonally one of my personal favorite Foe yay of Heather x Gwen was mostly my own desire for Enemies to Lovers
But Aleheather is just pure perfection.
@@toadlord8594 definitely.
I remember watching world tour and so wishing they would make these two "camp counselors", assisting chris in future seasons. It wouldve played to their strengths as villians and explore their dynamic as a couple, while adding something new to the series!
Yeah, I ADORED these two as villains and as a power couple
Indeed. Hot and Evil
This couple altered my brain chemistry and I would go to battle for them
I will absolutely fight alongside you
@@LesbianAhhhLabyrinthRatAs would I
they are our toxic parents!
Female power fantasy is not getting a hot guy. It's being able to say no to a hot guy because you are just that cool.
Villans together are always so fun
I actually gotta say that Heather said herself that her parents did electro therapy on her to make her a nicerer person and her parents are total douches to her
from the moment the last TD video came out I was waiting for this one. They're the reason World Tour is the best season. Also, love that you used his last name
By the time Total Drama ended originally, this was easily my favorite couple. I love a good "belligerent sexual tension." relationship! 😍❤️🔥
TDWT was the most fun season in large part thanks to Alejandro and his complex relationship with Heather.
Well that, and of course the songs!
HOT TAKE
I prefer it when my ships aren't confirmed because I don't want writers ruining what I believe to be a great potentional couple in theory.
@@tlkfanrwbyfan8716 ah shit, it's always death threats that come into the table in shipping stories
I think we all wanted them to be evil together in All Stars, but that's what fanfiction is for. :)
I've never watched total drama, so I am consuming it entirely through you, cos it seems like more fun.
Same lol
I watched it as it aired with a few gaps, it is a weird but great ride. Being so close to reality but also being cartoony. It’s stuck in a past but tried reinventing itself so much. There is no show like it and there might never be.
watch it, fool
It's free to watch here on RUclips if you want.
NGL, I shipped them from day 1. Heather and Alejandro were so alike.
"So seeing them be the worst is the best time and SH#T I FORGOT ABOUT ALL STARS!" got me 🤣
12:05
This explains everybody and Heather's relationship in Season 3 perfectly
"And shit, I forgot about All Stars."
Ah yes, a phrase that applies anytime the original TD cast is praised.
Depends on the cast member.
Heather and Alejandro make a better couple than any trainwreck relationship that Gwen and Duncan have ever been in 😂
I just realized this is where I got my love for the Enemies x Lovers trope.
"I hate you."
"I feel exactly the same~"
How I talk to the people I love. Only I don't have that hot Alejandro voice. Loved watching these two together.
Goooood am I glad to see you make a video on these two. They gotta be one of my favorite fictional couples of all time. I love the shit out of Aleheather, I have some of their dialogues memorized to the letter because I've loved to watch Aleheather Moment compilations on RUclips since I was in middle school. And I love the way you break down fictional relationships, whether they're healthy couples, or trainwrecks. And right after watching your Total Drama Love Triangle video (which I also loved!!) I really wanted to see you talk about Aleheather, and cleanse your palette with what's gotta be the best Total Drama relationship in my eyes.
i watched tdi as a teen and didnt know about alejandro until recently when my bf and i checked out the show again, and man i was hooked immediately. heather was always my fav and i love villain couples. stuff like aleheather, chuya (chase + wu ya), etc are so peak
OH MY GOD I WAS HOPING YOU'D DO A VIDEO ON THEM, I WASN'T EXPECTING IT SO SOON AFTER THE 3 HOUR ONE.... I don't know what we did to deserve this but thank you for your service
LFG!!!!!!! Watching Total Drama as a kid is probably the reason why I loved the enemies to lovers trope so much for so long. Sarcastic Chorus, you have made my Saturday 2 weeks in a row. (probably more but def these past two weeks)
21:47 you can be a protagonist without being a hero. Ever heard of Antihero’s? That’s the definition of Heather.
i always found it bizarre seeing a media that has a romance, have a couple that is frustrating start to end that has the attention of the show but also have that *one* couple that saves the audience to immediately leave due of the drama.
What did we do to deserve all this Total Drama content??? Loving the videos! If you’re going over all the train wreck couples, I’d like to hear your thoughts on Mike and Zoe! That is, if there’s even enough to talk about lol.
For better or worse a lot of their coverage has to cover the way Mike's DID is handled and while it's serviceable in their first season the following one leads to a lot of... iffy stuff esp in regards to their relationship writing wise. Charming in S4, a bit of a clusterfuck in S5
@@MrWanton16 Yeah I honestly like them in Revenge, they can be cute. All Stars though, like with most things, does some really odd stuff with them.
Just realizing that my affection for villains probably began with Heather. I remember she was my favorite
I Love how much of an Interesting Dynamic Heather and Alejandro they had.
These Two Contradicting/Conflicting Forces made Me feel Fascinated about how they Balance Each Other out, and yet how Toxic their Behaviours are to One Another, And when Alejandro gets Hit at the Dick by Heather and getting His Comeuppance for being a Selfish
Heart-Breaking JerkArse I Felt Satisfied, And also Heather Becomes a Better Person Later on TD.
But UnFortunately; They Rehashed the SAME Dynamic!
That Ruins it Now that I Think about it!
Word of Advice to the Writers; NEVER Rehash the SAME SHIT you've Done before!
EDIT: Never mind.
they were so fun to watch and also so fun to hate. Even tho they were terrible people, they still very entertaining to watch, even in all stars they were good (maybe the only good thing in that awful season) Ughhh I love them sm, as a couple and invidually as characters
i'm loving your total drama videos, please never stop making them
I love this couple, they are so much fun.
Great timing considering we were robbed of a deliciously evil villain couple in Disney's Wish
Could Wish have really outdone these two?
this is probably the 5th time I see this video, i really like it
now its probs the 8th
Heather and Alejandro are a fun couple to watch.
When they are not in the game their so lovely dovey that Chris put them back into game to get them back to go against each other
Alejandro is honestly my favourite character
I love these two. Thank you for covering them.
I need more ships like these, they're so intriguing to watch
These two are part of the reason I still have hope for Shiping in Total Drama. Sure they're not perfectly healthy. But at least they're not a train wreck like Gwen & Trent, and Courtney & Duncan. (Even if I still love Courtney and Duncan together I can still admit they were a wreck)
Normally I hate enemy to lovers but this ( along with dipicifica and sometime lumity) was the exception.
There is always something amazing about villain couples.
Alejandro and Heather are one of the most well written couples of the shows and one of my favorites.
OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT SHIPPED THIS, Alejandro and Heather do ao much better than any other mach ups on TDI ever
THIS IS THE BEST COUPLE EVER THANK YOU SO MUCH
They are the Justinian and Theodora of cartoon relationships.
S-tier reference.👌
And just as badass
When I was a kid I was so jealous of Heather (still loved her though) because Alejandro and her were basically a thing on World Tour 😅 that man is so fine no wonder he was my childhood crush!
u r an absolutely fantastic writer. u make every sentence count and the flow of this video is absolutely unreal. I always like start vids like thsi then never finish them but this wa awesome. good stuff. you da champ!!!
I love your breakdowns, your choice of words never fails to crack me up!
i will never forgive Heatther for causing Gwen to lose faith in Trent, but as Courtney once said
"even pigs deserve a meal"
One thing I absolutely love about Total Drama is the multiple endings. While Heather winning in World Tour is my headcanon, I'm absolutely fine with Alejandro winning. Admittedly tho', the first time I watched its finale I was rooting for Cody.
I want them to get married & have a child that is super ironic in how genuinely nice they are compared to their parents 😄
To this day I can’t believe they were one of the few relationships that survived the franchise
