Damn! Whoever this gutarist is, he's phenomenal. Chris Holmes had nothing on this guy. Just bought tix to see them in Minneapolis and am legit excited to see them. Been listening to them since the 80's
I would love to be able to enjoy this concert even though many people complain that he doesn't sing live completely and it's good that B. L. is still alive and can go on tour and turn on all the people like me who like his music!
He does sing live (and you can hear that) and yes he uses backing tracks too, to thicken the sound so the shows sound more like the records. People jump on the bandwagon as soon as an artist says anything about backing tracks and some bands have not helped the cause (looking at you motley crue) but if you get the chance ,go see Wasp, they give a good show
Age, the prolonged stop due to the pandemic, and the fact that Blackie had covid, in my opinion had an impact on Blackie's voice. He, however, wanted to do this tour at all costs, and in order to do so he uses a few backing tracks where he fails with his voice. They also took Hellion out of the set list, in my opinion for this reason.
He's the real deal. Real talent doesn't fade away and you can see that with all the greatest voices in music. If Tina Turner can do her last tour at 70 and still sound amazing then I'm sure Blackie can go for at least that long.
@@MxMoondoggie Well I think it depends on your range and clearly Blackie's variation at the lower level is not affected by age,and he doesn't try to operate at The higher pitches like some other artists. Roger Daltrey is similarly singing at high quality, despite being nearly 80, but Paul McCartney and Bruce Dickinson are 2 examples of artists, the former nearly 80 and the latter 65, who both are struggling at higher range, as there formally operatic upper range is starting to sound "whiny" and I've been hoping that they would try to sing at a Slightly lower pitch, to maintain the quallity of the listening experience.But ultimately I guess it is up to them, when you get to their degre of experience, you can pickled choose when to retire and if you're enjoying things yourself, rather than whether the audience Hotelas the best listing experience possible
@@jerrythomas4457 Listen to the original, then listen to these live performances, Blackie is definitely singing and showing great vocal carry and his signature tremor, as its not exactly like the original, but similar.it's possible that there is some backing going on, but even with that, it's very impressive and I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, because the fact that it's not like the original and any of these tracks, indicates that he may be singing this live

Obviously not live vocals... hard core WASP fan since seeing them open for Iron Maiden in the 80's and even met them during the during the Electric Circus tour. If I want to hear prerecorded vocals, I'll just play the albums. I won't pay to see any band or performer lip sync. 😞
Blackie has said he does this now can he cannot sing and play anymore. I get why, but yea I wouldn’t want to pay to see a band who just plays prerecorded songs. If a band can’t play then it’s best to retire.
Didn't Blackie say the 40th Anniversary tour was going to be like being back in the old days with the original stage show and all this crap? I didn't believe it when he said it and am totally not surprised that this is yet another lazy setlist basically the same as every tour they've ever done. Glad I didn't buy a ticket.

What other people do at gigs/ shows etc. Is down to them and I myself have loads of fun at the gigs I record. I've done my time being in the moshpit,.I'm not a young man anymore. One day I decided to record the gigs that i went to, mainly for myself so I can rewatch it, because memories fade in time and partly because some people in other countries will never see some of these bands live. And last but not least there are people that suffer from diseases, physically and mentally, that won't allow them to attend these shows, so these recordings do a lot of good for them as well as myself. I have had a lot of positive comments from viewers watching my recordings and I also get the actual bands thanking me for uploading their shows. We all enjoy these in our own way so all I can say is "you do you" enjoy the gigs how you want to and I will do the same.

there's no way Blackie is singing in 2023 like he did in the 80's and sound just like the recording, that's gotta be a vocal playback. not to mention the guy "singing" in the audience, that's the least metal voice I've heard in my life
