I'm 53, and still listening as well. In the 80's WASP was one of my favorite bands...Black Sabbath always my very first..WITH Ozzy. A year later it was Slayer, Metallica,Venom. Today it's still Black Sabbath first, Burzum, then Mayhem.
Totally underrated band. Their music is balls to the wall amazing. I had friends who'd snub their noses at the band but yet every time i played them without those friends knowing it was WASP they loved it. Why so many were so quick to dismiss them after like 1986-87 is beyond me.
They really took what Alice Cooper did to the extreme. A lot of Black Metal bands definitely looked at WASP’s stage show and adopted some of those ideas. Blackie was definitely a visionary.

This time of W.a.s.p. is a good memory. Today the lineup of the Band changed a lot mainly the drummers. For example: Tony Richard then Steve Relay, Frankie Banali, Stet Howland who today belongs to Metal Church. He is followed by Johnathan, then Randy Black, Mike Dupke, Brian Tichy, Achilles Priester real drummer. Like some guitarists. Darrell Robert. Today Douglas Blair. Bassists: Johnny Rob, Mike Duda. And you’d take that shit home and pop it into your bigass stereo and discover something like you’ve never heard before. Or when you got a new tape…wore out your first cop6 if master of puppets and you shell out for a new one… I can still smell that smell when you tear that cellophane off of a new tape….
