This time of W.a.s.p. is a good memory. Today the lineup of the Band changed a lot mainly the drummers. For example: Tony Richard then Steve Relay, Frankie Banali, Stet Howland who today belongs to Metal Church. He is followed by Johnathan, then Randy Black, Mike Dupke, Brian Tichy, Achilles Priester real drummer. Like some guitarists. Darrell Robert. Today Douglas Blair. Bassists: Johnny Rob, Mike Duda. But they still sound great. Of course one misses the classic W.a.s.p. . Definitely excellent times.

I had Motley Crue's shout at the devil and wore out that tape. Some kid came up to me and said check this band out. It was wasp's first record. I thought it was miles better than shout. But then I kept getting into heavier music. Testament Slayer stuff like that. Still love wasp.

W.A.S.P. was miles better than the Crüe, period. A lot of bands were...but Motley had the looks and the party lifestyle. People dug that...

That was what was so friggin awesome tho, some kid at school….the one with the King Diamond back patch on his jacket or something, would say hey check this out, and hand you a a raggedy old cassette tape that was a copy of a copy of a copy and it W.A.S.P. or Megadeth, or Iron Maiden hand written on it. And you’d take that shit home and pop it into your bigass stereo and discover something like you’ve never heard before. Or oud get ahold of some English import stuff you’d heard existed forever and when you get your hands on it, you’re the man because your buddies all want to listen to it…. Or when you got a new tape…wore out your first cop6 if master of puppets and you shell out for a new one… I can still smell that smell when you tear that cellophane off of a new tape…. Reading the liner notes as you lay up and listen to a new tape a dozen times. My older brother gave me Maiden Somewhere in Time when it first came out. I was mesmerized man I played that thing constantly.

Respect to Blackie for being a 'Barney Miller' fan. A dialogue driven show with only ONE set. I was introduced to WASP in the late 80's with their great remake of The Who's 'Can You See The Real Me?'.
