Great times, I recall that summer vividly. The US Festival, Quiet Riot's "metal health" still new, MC's "too fast for love" was out, Iron Maiden had just released "piece of mind", Fastway's great debut, Scorpion's "blackout" still new, J.Priest's "screaming for vengeance" still new, Zebra's debut, Van Halen was on fire with "diver down", Kiss' "creatures of the night" was still new, Def Leppard's "high n dry" relatively new, Rush's "signals" relatively new, 0zzy's "diary of a madman" relatively new,... And Ratt and WASP were about to hit the scene, along with Dokken's breakthrough "tooth n nail".. What a great era for rock!.. I recall looking thru metal magazines with all the pics from US Festavil after having just bought "too fast for love" while in Dallas on summer vacation with my KISS "creatures of the night" tour shirt on as a sophomore in h.s. I had just discovered weed and it's influence on how I heard music too. Wow!.. Good times

The reason Blackie goes on like this is due to the backlash he’s gotten from former band members & the lawsuits some have filed against him! Chris Holmes can’t stand Blackie for his dirty tricks he pulled with screwing him out of money!

I always called it 'chasing your tail'. You have to learn to listen to the entire recorded performance coming at you, not just a little squeak you heard or whatever. It can he maddening. Some takes have warts, but have the urgency and intensity you need and you have to trust it. Like Browde said, youre hearing things NOBODY will hear or notice ...lol
