- Dawn Morse of Core Elements Training demonstrates clinical vacuum Dry Cupping techniques to the lower leg, using static, sliding and active movement techniques.
These techniques are excellent for reducing musculoskeletal pain and restricted range of movement at the ankle joint. Along with the treatment of common injuries such as anterior compartment syndrome.
These are some examples of techniques covered in Core Elements accredited day CPD course in Myofascial Dry Cupping, which is available as a face to face course in Swindon and Liverpool (UK), or via Live Online delivery, or fully Online.

Great to hear Marouane 👍
Hi, I really like your work ! I usually relax the tense fascia with hot towels before dry cupping, it also makes flexion more comfortable for the client too. I'm definitely subscribing!!
Great to hear, thanks Narissa.
Yes absolutely heat to reduce tension before Cupping can work really well, especially in sensitive areas such as this 👍
Good video
Thanks for the feedback 👍
This works
Great to hear 👍

I use a small cup that I use on my ankle that was injured about four year ago and no physical therapy was done, so I still have pain in that area. After using the cup something like crystals came out through the skin, do you know what that was? Thank you.
Hi Teresa, without seeing I can’t provide an informed comment, sorry.
Nothing should come out through the skin. But if the cupping is too strong and, or skin is sensitive, there is a possibility of causing blisters. Possibly one or two blisters have formed as a result of the cupping?
If it is a small blister it should resolve itself within a couple of days.
Kind regards
Dawn
is it helpful in lower leg nerve pain?
If it's linked to muscular compression then yes.
If it's nerve pain through, ideally aim to identify what is causing it and aim to treat the cause, along with the symptoms, such as pain in the lower leg.
What brand of cups are you using?
Hi 👋
In these videos I’m using the 17 piece Dong Bang kit.

Hi, do you have cupping points for sciatica?,thank u.
Hi Deni,
There aren't specific points for this, as it depends on the cause of the sciatic symptoms. For instance is it caused by piriformis syndrome or from a vertebral disc compressing the sciatic nerve.
However I'd definitely cup the gluteal region, along with the TFL, and the lower back region, and hip flexor area to reduce muscular tension.
Thank you for the information
👍🙏
I got cupping down after surgery at a physical therapist. She would slide the cup around and it would hurt to the point of tears. Is it supposed to hurt that much?
Ideally the therapist should perform cupping at an intensity that is within a ‘tolerance’ zone.
It may feel a bit uncomfortable, but shouldn’t be painful to the point of tears, as this will make you tighten up and is counter productive.
Keeps sliding off, so I need a different device or am I just not doing something right
Try a little bit more suction and more medium, as this may help with the traction 👍
