- Some people are worried about flying. I wrote a (Swedish) book about how to overcome this together with psychologist Cecilia Gustafsson, some time ago.
You can be troubled if you don’t understand what’s happening with the plane when it's affected by turbulence. The atmosphere is constantly moving around the earth, as I show in this video. This creates waves, just like wind makes waves on the ocean. But since air is invisible, you can seldom see the waves. It's a matter of comfort only.
The reason for you to sit down and fasten the seatbelts in turbulence is that we don’t want you to bump into something, walking around in the cabin. The wings will NOT break because they are flexible.
The human creativity/imagination is a heritage from thousand years of evolution. It helped us survive when there were wild animals and hostile foreigners.
Flying is extremely safe but this fact is in the logical part of the brain. The fantasies comes from another part and can not be talked away easily. They brain can however be reprogrammed by flying more, so you learn that something bad actually does not happen. it also helps to know how our brain works and to get rid of misunderstandings.
There’s is absolutely NO drama in flying and it’s always safety first!
Ironically, human creativity makes us able to construct and build planes, but can also give us worries flying in them.
🎹🎤 Great music, specially composed for this video, by Ashish ”Bill” Mohan! 🙏🏼 🤗
Thanks for watching, subscribing and recommending to your friends! 👍🏼🙂
Imagine people sitting in the plane, possibly scared of flying, but then looking out to see the natural paintbrush this earth provides, and knowing that everything is going to be perfectly fine. What a beautiful universe we live in.
If people who are worried about flying focus on how beautiful it is, they tend to forget all their worries. They should, because being worried is such an uneccesary suffering and waste of energy. It's the backside of human creativity, as I write in the description.
There is NO drama in flying.
Exactly the reason I watch out the window. To see the crazy landscape below (even though I am completely terrified of heights) but looking at the earth helps. Flight attendants usually don't know much about odd things were flying over so I always ask the pilots to tell me before hand what cool landmarks to look out for. I used to not be scared of flying until 911 and watching people jump from the WTC and I was on a flight the day before and those 2 things considerably fucked me up mentally so now I have to have a agenda for flying. If I am excited about finding landmarks I don't have time to get freaked out over the height. Just a little trick I figured out over time. But you are spot on with the scenery being a huge comfort for people who are scared of flying. Well done!
@@rockchildofthe60s69 911 truly impacted the aviation industry. But to think about how the aviation security and national patriotism increased as an effect, it shows how strong America has been in the past few decades
looks like the coziest place on earth to sleep.
"Inspection of the overhead panels"
You bet😁
Your videos get better and better, Captain B. These cockpit views are absolutely breathtaking. Many thanks for sharing another inflight classic.
🙏🏼 😊 Thank you!
I live in the Bay Area California.I found you videos very entertaining and soothing especially with the ongoing pandemic.I saw our world is beautiful but small.our planet is small and let’s keep it clear and safe, for all of us and all living and non living things. Our creator is amazing and we are just filled with marvel.
A tear rolled down my cheek
That view is totally amazing
Thanks for sharing...
This song is so beautiful, I'm crying!!! I REALLY want to fly as a passenger SOMEWHERE!!!!!
Thank you, Julia, for praising my song...I am very proud and happy to record this song specially for Capt Bjorn...I had a feeling it would go well with this video, and I am so happy to hear you found it moving...
This an is a gentleman Captain pilot with nothing to proof, he does not behave like a jobsworth, he seems to get on well with all the staff and has a good cockpit atmosphere. I think he is very interesting and informative and I enjoy watching his videos.
well said the best I've seen,Genuine captain ❤
Yes bro...his personality fit well... In my first impression just subscribe without wacthing his vidios I know those people taking hard things easy way
You should show us other unknown compartments of the plane, for example I had no idea there was a room under the cockpit which can be accessed from the cockpit and the cargo bay
Yeah that was an awesome video

The only reason I knew that was because of the move "Snakes on a Plane" if I remember correctly 😂😅
@@elik1491 yeah, I still wanna know more about that👍
Fantastic ! whouaaa its so beautifull ...thank you Captain ..

Ah the northern lights :'( I remember last time I saw it in february 2020 flying to Tromso, I couldnt imagine some weeks later I would have my last flight :( Kind regards from a former DY colleague! great videos captain Bjorn!! Lycka till!
Very nice! I am now an Airbus fan!
Thank you very much for wonderful explanations. You have amazing way to teach us. True gentleman. Thank you from Israel.

Love your videos Captain!
this dude seems like the best guy like you can see in the staff he interacts with, their faces just light up when they see him idk also omg that shot of the roundness of the earth was so perfect lmao get rekt flat earthers
I really appreciate my co workers and I think they know it. It's all about teamwork and you might be the most benefitter of it yourself, as a cdr. 🙂
Very neat seeing the Northern Lights, thanks for sharing!
I only ever achieved 70 hours flying a PA28, and only 5 hours of them solo. I now know that I had hundreds of hours left to only achieve a fraction of your skill. What a great aviation channel, and what a technical insight into a qualified professional pilots life...If you are a younger viewer watching this with a dream to fly, then don’t leave it as late as I did to try.
Thank you for showing this!
Wow,so beautiful👍!
OMG!!!! I'm speechless!!!!
Another amazing video of yours , thank you so much for your wonderful videos
things like this should be shared and posted in hopes to give the aviation industry a jump start. cause it damn sure made me miss flying. "that's if bjorn and his employer don't mind" :-D
Tank you. Pls share as much as you like. I appreciate it. 👍🏼
great job captain. love every vid
Fantástic from Brazil Brazil.

What a great pilot so interesting video
Hello Captain! Very very nice vid. Love from Philippines! 🇵🇭
I dont know why but when the montage with the northern light montage started i kinda wanted to cry.. Very beautiful moment there cap!
Thank you. This video is a little different from the others. Less talking and specially composed music for my video by composer/musician Ashish. He liked my videos so much he wanted to do something special. 🙂
Golden hour just above the clouds is just a treat for the passengers... Also, that camera takes clear colours.
Wow very cool..thanks
Very nice sir
This video make me feel nostalgic, because my last flight was the 15 of April 2020, I'm retired military pilot, great flights and smooth landings Cap
Take care. I’m retiring soon too. 😉
@@bjornpilot wow!!! CONGRATULATIONS Captain!!!!!
Would love to see more A350 footage in the future😁
Hope I can show it soon. 😉
This is not an A350, look at the displays

Wow, such a beautiful video!
Awesome
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for taking us along on your flights! Wishing you all the best!
Gratulerer og tusen takk at du viser å fly som om det er et dikt... Vi ser aldri dette arbeidet som poesi og det har du gjort. sorry for dårlig norsk . (Jeg lærer)
Amazing videos Captain ! 😁😁❤❤😍😍👍👍😉😉
Thank you so much! 😊
You made me subscribe, I don't quickly subscribe. Thanks for a beautiful video :)
Really enjoying your videos!
Flying into the night, then meeting the northern light. Absolutely wonderful, breathtaking!! Thank you Captain Bjorn for sharing.
i wanna see rainy day fling 😍
Magnifique ! Thanks for sharing this with us.
I have to say - you are one of my favorite pilot captains on RUclips :)
Hi Captain Bjorn, first of all I want to thank you for your amazing videos and insights. Could you maybe tell us more about the ACARS&CPDLC? Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
Thank you for your video
Just subscribed what an amazing channel great videos
Thanks Captian!
Really beautiful view! Love the northern lights. The only thing missing in this video is a Boeing 😉😄
😂
Really enjoy your videos. SAS is first class all the way. You have a another Airbus fan now. I will not look at Boeing the same anymore😊!!!
what gets me with all the ATC chatter is how you don't miss being called if you're busy doing something else, also, both pilots resting at the same time?
We have years of training in selective listening. Even if I do something else or talk to someone I hear our callsign immediately. 🙂
Thanks for the video with the turbulence capt. On December 25 2005 I was on a flight back from the UK to NY on a 747 when we hit moderate to severe turbulence. It's what started this fear. Capt Ron (from one course) suggested to ask the pilot after the flight if we ever were in any danger, I really wish I had. It probably would have stopped it from getting worse. I have a plan to take a course and get exposure to flying after this pandemic. After 10 years of not flying its hard to go in one without the illogical side of the brain to take over especially if they are long flights
I can guarantee you that there was no danger on that flight. The only problem with turbulence is when passenger bumps into something walking around in the plane. Or if you spill coffee. ☕😅 That's why we ask passengers to sit down with belts and we secure equipment like heavy carts etc.
@@bjornpilot Thank you for your reply capt. I wish I told 14 year old me that before my imagination when wild haha. I love your boat and waves analogy, it works well because I am a fisherman.
@@leisurely6711 👍🏼😊 Same thing. Wind and waves!
i maintain that this channels content is so wholesome and loving and it genuinely makes me interested in airplanes
Very cool when you fly right above the clouds! Really makes you understand just how fast the plane is travelling!
The visuals of the northern lights are spectacular in this video...watching this video is a spiritual experience...you realise how many gifts mankind has--the beauty of nature, and man's ingenuity which allows him to fly...it shows that mankind can be truly great if we allow ourselves to be...
You have a new subs here. Good job captain
You have the coolest job ever. stay safe and many happy landings more.
i really dont know why would anyone dislike this video
and thank you captain bjorn for showing that earth shadow i have never seen something like that and now i want to become a pilot even more
keep up the good work captain
Muito bom meus parabéns
Very happy I subscribed.
Beautiful music interpretation.
Great video my friend
Thank you! 🙂
Hi I would love to see longer videos with pre-flight briefing. flight deck prep etc.
Another amazing video by you sir, I highly respect you. Your videos are fantastic just do what you want to and show us what you want to they are great!
such an amazing view, I love it
Aurlines could charge for extra view. Thanks captain:)
It feels like you love your job as much as if it were your first day, even though you have thousands of hours. That's probably what makes it extremely pleasant to watch your videos, as even a mere PPL like me can relate to your genuine excitement. Thanks for sharing!
I do. I have ~25k hrs 😅
Hello from Paris. Beautiful... Very nice video as usual. I miss flying because of covid 19 but with your video I can feel the sensation I have in the air!! Thank you!
Your videos are inspiring! I can’t wait to fly these heavy birds!
Same here
I really love your videos.
Because you also show the views from above, besides the pilot's work.
What I also would like to see, but not in one video:
- The back wall of an Airbus cockpit (where do you hang your coat, bag, jump seat, ...)
- Where the fuel goes in
- Where the cool air and electricity goes in on the ground
- Where the toilet stuff goes out
- Airbus doors
- Pantry and restroom (already know pantries from FA vlogs and restrooms from passengers vlogs), but a pilot's view could be interesting
Love your vids!
Hello from Russia. Great video

oblige with pictures like this.
Thanks capt. Looking at you at night I understand the big difference between airbus and boeing for sleeping.
It is a pity that this kind of image is not shown to passengers during the flight on their screens, it will allow them to understand what is happening in the cockpits.
thanks a lot
Take care of you captn
Maybe you'll start a blog about your personal life:
How do you go to the airport, launch a plane, check in at hotels?
Only if you want it, I just suggested an idea...
Good idea. Since I have been prohibited from taking pictures/videos on board, the idea gets even better. 👍🏼🙂
Nice
Very nice video captain specialy when surfing 🌊 above the clouds.please captain can you make a video about fuel management in a long range flight ?
Yes! And thank you! 😁
Appreciate you and your channel! Taught me so much!
BEST I'VE SEEN YET,LOVE YOUR FLIGHT DECK VIDEOS AND THE FOOD WHILE FLYING❤

Not sure I followed the explanation. Earth might not be flat but it is much bigger than we are told based on simple geometry.
