I am on my 8th print head cleaning and really starting to regret getting Printers Jack ink. Why oh why did I not see this video earlier lol. Thanks for sharing.
Can you do this with any of the epson refillable ink printers??? From reading the comments it looks like you can. I have the 2760 printer ...And can you use the sublimation ink after putting the epson ink in that has been used until empty? Peeps...Becky has mentioned almost every comment what ink she is using..How frustrating for her to type the same answer...It is Cosmos ink! Thanks Becky for this video.
Hey JC! Yes, once an Epson printer is empty of the Epson ink, you can purchase the refillable cartridges and use sublimation ink, just make sure you perform a few print head cleanings to purge out the old ink. I don't know about using any Epson, but the ET-2760 seems to be a good choice. Since it's an EcoTank, I would caution letting the tanks run empty to replace with Sublimation Ink. I would look at disconnecting the tubes from the print head and manually extracting the ink. From what I understand it's quite the process and has a little risk involved, but letting the tanks run empty could be damaging to the printer. Hope this helps! ---Becky

You will want to do a printer head cleaning. The lines you're seeing are called banding. -Brittany
Thank you! I just got mine delivered today!
I just was thinking about this! Thank you for making this video!
I was hoping the video would talk about the actual printing process I’m struggling to get my photo to look right
Sorry this was not helpful
Thanks for sharing Becky!
You are so welcome!
I still advice the use of a good icc profile when printing with sublimation inks. it really boosts the vibrance of the colors. and better results
Have the ET-15000, using sublimation ink and it looks really washed out, how do i use an icc profile
@@mashallahz5297 you install the icc profile
In the icc folder. Let’s say you use photoshop, this program has a dedicated icc folder. There you store the file.
Then you modify the image in photoshop. And say at the printer dialog. Photoshop manages color. And you choose the icc file. It will than use this file to print the colors. Want me to make a video?
@@JunkieVirus very kind of you to offer, just sent over and played with brightness and contrast, spectacular results. thank you so much for the advice
Great tip!
@@JunkieVirus am using inkcafe sublimation ink, the company dont have an icc profile for their ink, what do you reckon I do?
Hi. Thank you for the video. I have just purchased the Epson ET 15000 and new to sublimation. Will any sub ink work in this printer?
It's been 2 years - are you still happy with the printer? I'm considering getting the Epson 15000 but value your input. Also interested in the brand of ink you used
What other epson printer would you recommend for sublimation, if not the 15000?
What kind of ink did you buy? Love the tutorial. Thank you❤
Do you know if this will print on wood?? Looking to sub on wood items.
Thanks! Great video!
Hi, I am having a horrible time getting my Epson 15000 printing. I didn't set it up for wi-fi which I am wondering if that might have been a mistake. I am wondering would it be okay to uninstall the printer and reinstall it? Thanks vicky
Excellent information!!! Thank you very much for this set up and all info video!! ❣💐❣💐❣💐❣💐❣
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful! :)
Can the sublimation ink cause problems with the printer? For example, can I just use Amazon sublimation ink or do I need a specific brand? Thanks
That’s what I want to know also! I actually bought a sublimation ink called ezink but I’m wondering if I can use it?
Thank You. Super helpful! Made my setup so much easier!
Hi Becky, will the sub ink you used work on other Epson printers?
Thanks so much for the video. I’m just getting into sublimation and just purchased this printer, it’s in the mail on its way to me as I text this. My question is, what sublimation ink do you recommend. An Amazon link would be appreciated.
Thanks again
Glad it was helpful! Becky used Cosmos ink.
I just installed my printer by following your steps but my ink is printing really light. Did I miss any steps?
So glad I watched this before opening my 7840. This is so easy, thank you!
Hi thank you for letting us know the epson model you purchased! Did you find any issues with connection or ink with the 7840? or is it all mostly the same process
I returned the 7840 and went ahead with the Epson 15000. I love it and so easy to use. Thank you. Now trying to load on a MacBook Pro to use in Silhouette Business Edition.
Hi Becky. I just got my et15000. Your video was so helpful in setting it up. Question. Any word about updating firmware on it. I am seeing a pop up on printer’s LCD panel to update it. Please advise. Thanks
You are also able to do the “driver portion from the app!
Any suggestions on how to get your colors more vibrant? I have the epson 15000 as well and it’s printing dull.
It will print dull and become vibrant once pressed. If your still having issues try changing your print settings to best
I HAVE DONE THIS A THOUSAND TIMES AND AT THE END IT IS SAYING IT CANNOT FIND MY PRINTER. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? THE WIFI IS CONNECTED PROPERLY TO THE PRINTER.
Great tutorial. Could you tell me the ink brand you used in this video?
Would you recommend this printer for photography prints? Which ink would you use ?
Hi there! Are you using the photography as sublimation prints? If so, I would recommend the Sawgrass SG1000. It will print in better quality consistently compared to the Epson which does often have troubles with clogged nozzles and lines if not used regularly! - Dawn 😊
I am on my 8th print head cleaning and really starting to regret getting Printers Jack ink. Why oh why did I not see this video earlier lol. Thanks for sharing.
I think the same thing I wouldn’t buy that ink again
Do you change the ink settings in preferences? For my 7720 I did change them. Thanks
It will depend on the printer, yes for your 7720 you will want to adjust your printer settings. - Brittany
---Becky
Do you have to clean the heads everytime you add ink?
What type of ink did you use? Thank You for this helpful video
Cosmos Ink.
Hi, I am having a horrible time trying to use my Epson 15000 printer. I am beginning to think I don't have it set up correctly. I didn't do the wireless but maybe I should have. Would it hurt to uninstall the printer and try reinstalling it again? thanks for any help. I am soooo frustrated.
Does anyone know of if you absolutely have to use sublimation paper? Does laser paper work like it does with infusible ink?
I read on another site that you absolutely have to use sub. paper.
You have to use Sublimation Paper with the Sublimation Ink for it to work properly.
@@DesignBundles thanks. Ive seen other videos use laser paper and it worked. I literally just set up my sublimation printer this afternoon, i will compare the two and see what happens.
@@mizzysparrots4874 how did it work for you?
If I used printer jack ink can I change to hippo without cleaning all the lines. Tku for your help and videos
You can however you'll want to make sure your ink is really close to being completely empty. - Brittany
Do you still need a Cricut or just iron it as is? Sorry I’m new to this
