- Unlocking all of the Kanohi masks from the Bionicle promo CD. The necessary codes came from the backs of masks included with the original Toa sets.
Here is a video of the rest of content on the disc:

Recorded with OBS.
OK so the intro music for introducing Tahu, the humming sound effect sounds ethereal and ancient it's really cool. The whole atmosphere of Gen 1 bionicle being all spiritual and yet advanced with technology being in harmony with nature is what drew me into this as a kid. And the mask looks are awesome, very totem like
Very like predator. I imagine that they all drew inspiration from that franchise.
Still like this got me so excited when I was a kid
This was so cool, its crazy that kids today wont get something like this
Pohatu - destroys national monuments.
And then moonwalks away
Cool guy extraordinaire.
No wait, that'd be Kopaka.
All Mask Codes:
Tahu - 4 -CR
Kopaka - V-33
Gali - 9-MA
Lewa - 3-LT
Onua - 8-MR
Pohato - 5-MG
I got the cd-rom to work on windows 10 using windows 98/ Windows Me compatibility mode
I love the robot sounds they make when moving. Very under used.
The first year of bioinicle was something so special. I feel like media, especially toys, don't get as interactive as this. I mean a whole CD-rom where you collect the masks and get a little video. MNOG, the flash animations, mcdonalds toys, Lego really out did themselves (for obvious reasons this was kind of their hail mary)
It was generally the tail-end of this period of fascination with multimedia which began in the early 90s and which gave us some bizarre and unique things like Xplora1: Peter Gabriel's Secret World.
Thanks for posting this with the voice stating their names! When I was a kid we always called Lewa the way it's said here but I forgot why. Since I got older, I kept hearing people say it Loo-wa- and it always seemed so off to me. Now I know why I said it the way I did.
As much of a fan of Bionicle I was as a kid, these cutscenes are all I really remember.
Pohatu’s moonwalk 😂😂😂😂
This brought me wwaaaayyy back
Same bro
Someone should take the time to do 4k remasters of these character trailers haha!
I know a guy.
Let me see if I can find him again...
Edit: Yup. LordFindogask734.
I still remember the points and click adventure from the website.
8:13 damn Kopaka can literally freeze time kind of OP 😂
No, he can manipulate ice, he stopped the avalanche by stopping the ice and snow.
But if he did have the power to freeze time....it would have been a good Bonkle JoJoke.
@@mugiwaradarwin4504 ok this is cool too didnt thought of that :)
when we were kids, my brother found this free from a box of Koko crunch. we played with the platform jumping but can't finish even one. somehow the controls are delayed.
So the password is used to unlock the toa masks? Okay...........
It was also used with the respective can code to unlock levels in the gba game
tahus into is surprisingly simmilar to his into in the movie
Now that you mention it, I do remember thinking it was pretty similar.
Damn son where did you find that????? This is literally my childhood i can remember each video thank you so much for showing me this and remembering sweet good times
The strange thing is, I'm actually not sure where this CD came from. It's a full-size disc rather than miniCD and up until recently this version seemed to be completely forgotten by the internet. Now it's listed on the BioMedia Project, but there isn't any info beyond "Distributed through promotions outside North America". I think it either was given out by official LEGO stores, or it was included with an issue of the Donald Duck magazine.
@@adenowirus so listen, i am from germany, europe, and as far as i remember there was a mini CD in each of those bionicle sets with also these codes. And if you bought new bionicle sets you got the new clip by CD or could open it by code, but damn son, this is like ~20 years ago or more for me, those are some ultimate sweet childhood memories
@@DoomBapBellic I live on the other side of the Lusatian Neisse, so to speak, and I think we didn't get those miniCDs in our sets. Plus, like I said, the one I have is a full-size one.
Ja miałem bodajże czterech Toa Mata, jednego Turaga, dwóch Toa Nuva i potem jeszcze jednego Visoraka i dwóch Rahaga.
Niedawno je znalazłem i odbudowałem. Z Robo Riders miałem pył i onyxa (te z takimi samymi głowami jak Slizery) i wszystkie cztery z tych miniaturowych zestawów z pozostałych "żywiołów". Na puszkach dużych zestawów były kody pojawiające się po schłodzeniu.
Oh, cool dandy voice,,,
Ahh memories 😊
Missed some of the content including the trailer for the game that never got released showing Onua building himself after getting ejected from the canister.
It's all in my earlier video. This one is just an extra.
I still have this mini cd rom to this day, though it is in black and white. And whenever I enter the code in, the mask pops out.
OMG Thank you so much for this!!!!!!
Can you put in codes for the other masks? (I.E the Turaga masks and Tohunga masks)
I don't know. Never tried it.
I tried it with the silver masks and nothing happens
Don’t call matoran Tohunga it’s offensive to Maori tribes in New Zealand because that word is a very special word to them and if you use it incorrectly for something like a kid toy your basically being rude so yeah just letting you know👍
Where can I download this Game?
Here: biomediaproject.com/bmp/promo-cds/
It's listed as "Toa Mata Mini CD". Keep in mind that it's not actually a game.
No way i actually found this!!
Is this what the codes inside the masks are for???
Yes.
AAAAAH SHIT NOSTALGIA
Hi can someone answer this
Would the disk work on a windows xp?
I think I did install it on Windows XP at some point, but I could have misremembered something.
It should be compatible with an XP system.
@@a-s-greig ok TYSM
Cool
What do the toa mask do in this...
They just let you watch corresponding Toa's video.
Nothing, like everything in the "game".
@@roxterat Don't hate, it was freaking cool when you were 6 years old to feel like you unlocked something with your new toy lol.
¿what lewa toa of earth? 7:16
Is the toa of AIR
ladri
I dont understand, there is something usefull to do in this game? The only thing I see always is the cinematics of the guys, and nothing more relevant than that. The narrator talks about an evil god and our heroes must to defeat him, but never can see any level facing him or something...
It's not a game. Think of it as an interactive introduction to the world of Bionicle, or an interactive commercial for the sets. It is very much a product of its times, a tail end the multimedia craze when many programs had little purpose beyond being something you can mess around with for an hour or two. It any case it was given away for free, either with a set or on its own, so it's not like people were wasting money on it.
