My own church trinity united church that I was first baptised in was burned down in 1985 in vernon bc, canada very shortly after I was baptised at 5 years old. My family my grandparents and I left that church due to the disagreement with them allowing and supporting gay members within the church, within leadership roles. In our case was music director early 1990s and we switched to being baptist, since then but I do not know if these other churchs also supported gays but in Kitchener I believe ontario Thursday nov 15 2018 burnt down. May 9 2023 a fire was started in prince george at the trinity united church there. Three fires same denomination possibly don’t know. No idea as said if all of them support gay rights but if the three churchs all have that in common. Wonder why god might be upset with them. If that was the reason that the three fires were allowed to happen. I do not know. Could be complete coincidence. Seeing another united church doing this. Years later. So united church in Canada 3 fires I know of. Give you more perspective.

And so that, that mother will accept the baby sheep that is not its child. The shephards literally cut off its fleece. Skinning it. Then they take that fleece and cover the baby sheep that is going to die because its own mother is dead. No one to feed it. Then use ropes to secure it to the baby then take it to the mother sheep. Let me say this. I was a Methodist turned into Born Again Christian. As a former Methodist, we loved Jesus so much and much of John Wesley's work is based on reaching out to the minorities like prisoners, terminally ill, islanders, and even LGBTQIA people. We did serve them because Jesus did. However, it does not mean we agreed to them fully, especially with any lifestyle of sin. Methodists are known for being inclusive and active in politics as well (and this was one of the many things I loved about being a Methodist), but my gosh has this belief gone so far... to the point of losing Jesus... It grieves me so much what’s happened to the Methodist Church as a whole. My father in law is a former Methodist pastor. I say former because they kicked him out years ago for being to “charismatic”. Basically believing in the gift of tongues. I grew up non denominational and although the Methodist were an extreme difference from what I was used to, I learned to respect their love for tradition. I learned to love hymns because of them and hymns are just scripture set to music. Then the denomination took a turn. They started to vote on whether these progressive and liberal beliefs would be acceptable, tolerated, and promoted even as far as affirming pastors that openly live them. I have no doubt that their progression towards this had initially more to do with filling seats than divine revelation. It’s no secret many had dwindling numbers and the pandemic only exacerbated this. Now they’ve turned to gimmicks to fill seats and in turn they’re not seeing how they’ve become of the world rather than a light to it. I now see more pride flags on their lawns and buildings than crosses. And that’s the devils plan. Replace true religion with a false feel good one that no longer requires you to change and shames those that still uphold the Bible. God help them and God help us all. We need a daily acknowledgment and acceptance of His grace and truth so we aren’t led astray.

Let me say this. I was a Methodist turned into Born Again Christian. As a former Methodist, we loved Jesus so much and much of John Wesley's work is based on reaching out to the minorities like prisoners, terminally ill, islanders, and even LGBTQIA people. We did serve them because Jesus did. However, it does not mean we agreed to them fully, especially with any lifestyle of sin. Methodists are known for being inclusive and active in politics as well (and this was one of the many things I loved about being a Methodist), but my gosh has this belief gone so far... to the point of losing Jesus... I am so heartbroken. I will include them in my prayers. ❤

It grieves me so much what’s happened to the Methodist Church as a whole. My father in law is a former Methodist pastor. I say former because they kicked him out years ago for being to “charismatic”. Basically believing in the gift of tongues. I grew up non denominational and although the Methodist were an extreme difference from what I was used to, I learned to respect their love for tradition. I learned to love hymns because of them and hymns are just scripture set to music. Then the denomination took a turn. They started to vote on whether these progressive and liberal beliefs would be acceptable, tolerated, and promoted even as far as affirming pastors that openly live them. I have no doubt that their progression towards this had initially more to do with filling seats than divine revelation. It’s no secret many had dwindling numbers and the pandemic only exacerbated this. Now they’ve turned to gimmicks to fill seats and in turn they’re not seeing how they’ve become of the world rather than a light to it. I now see more pride flags on their lawns and buildings than crosses. And that’s the devils plan. Replace true religion with a false feel good one that no longer requires you to change and shames those that still uphold the Bible. God help them and God help us all. We need a daily acknowledgment and acceptance of His grace and truth so we aren’t led astray.
