You can put on M4 LCA's and TS's on, then it will push the bottom of the wheels out more and you can also push KW's outward a bit more to compensate, so you have less tuck and you can run less wide of a spacer :) I'm also thinking of doing that to my 120d
Love the videos from you guys, real spanner men with a working shop showing us what you do, & that little BMW ended up with a rorty exhaust tone, the racing videos are also good value, Rj in Oz
Nice work lads, my missus has a 125d too. It’s the pre lci with the n47, have had the timing chain replaced and it’s now running a dp and stage 2. Goes pretty good for being a 2l 4 cyl diesel
I really want a pre lci 125d. If the chain is done it is as reliable as the b47 But the looks of the pre lci in my opinion are way better , more sporty
Do you know when the interval is for having the chain replaced or should you wait for the rattling noise at the rear of the engine? I’ve heard these late versions of the N47 engine (2012 onwards) don’t have timing chain issues. I own a 2014 pre-lci 125D.
@@gilligan1997 mate I have 2013 n47 engine you need to be really careful I wasn’t prepared at all when my timing chain broke and I need recovery to drop it to garage and pay bunk of money
After 15 mins of booting my stage 1 125d with dpf I seem to get a very slight loss in power and response. Doesn’t quite sound as severe as what you mentioned at the start of the video where it feels as if it’s in limp but the power definitely drops off when really hot (baring in mind I’m not on track like you guys). Would this be solved my simply deleting the dpf and having it mapped in? Thanks
Nice one cheers for the free advice really appreciated. I’ll try get it to West Yorkshire tuning who did my map but i think for peace of mind I want to get it to you guys for a dyno session so hopefully be in touch shortly! Cheers again mate
„Half a mm“ toe in at rear: That is really a small number to have for analog measurement! What is the minimum change you can actually measure by „string method“ - 0,5mm or even 1/4mm ?

Strange how diesels always sound so different under load when you put an exhaust on. Never sound good free revving

Without the DPF it's fine, it never did on the road but 2 laps and boom!
I would advise speaking to your tuner, the vehicle wants logging and testing properly.

Half is what we try to do, 1mm more likely
All it’s had is an inter cooler and a remap and the dpf can’t handle it? No way of keeping them dpf safe?
The map was a bit rich really. Fine with a mild tune and road use!
Hello, why did you leave the original central catalytic converter?
The CAT does not cause any issues and it's better for MOT purposes
Does it still pass MOT with centre cat in and no DPF ?
looks amazing as always.. no plans on doing a 2x2 3.5" exhaust for a a6 c7 bitdi (313)? like cutting off the rear part and just bolt on the new part.
Possibly!
@@DarksideDevelopments waiting for it then.. did it myself but looks awful underneath.. 😅 think you can call it s6 look also!
I also saw an intercooler upgrade between 4:35 and 4:51, noticeable improvement?
Yes I forgot about that
@@DarksideDevelopments Do you think an intercooler upgrade will make sense on a 120d with downpipe and 230hp?
Yes!
Do you know how much the bhp increase was with intercooler upgrade?
Do you have to delete scr system for downpipe?
This didn't have SCR
What was the cause of the swarf in the fuel?
Fuel pump failed, water or petrol contamination at some point in its life
