A few points to remember when running the PPK workflow: 1) Flight should be at least ten minutes. Anything less than ten minutes could degrade the accuracy because the drone’s RINEX file has limited GNSS data. 2) As mentioned in the video, The CORS station you select should be as close as possible…but no more than 18 miles. Once you exceed 18 miles the GNSS vectors will begin to degrade 3) The sampling rate of the CORS station you select should be 1
Hello, Great video again. You mention files generated by the drone even with rtk off. I own a mavic 2 Enterprise with rtk module. How can I check that it can provide the same types of files ? I guess it is not the case. Rgds,
Glad you liked the video. I believe it should be the same but it would be easy to check. Go for a short flight with the RTK module installed but with RTK turned off and take a couple of photos. Then go to the folder and make sure that the highlighted files shown at 1:35 in the video are there. There should be files that end in .obs, .nav and .mrk
@@dronetoulouse I seem to recall that I did confirm this with my M3T a while back but...can't remember for sure so maybe you can confirm here when you get around to it as I won't be back in the office for a few days
for best and safe practice I always use the CP7GCP process, in order to always be able to georeference the map, but ppk is always a good back up, emlid studio you confirm that is free? thank you for the video
If you see my other videos I'm a fan of having as many ways to verify as possible. GCPs are a great solution. And if you really need to verify I strongly recommend checkpoints. But RTK, PPK and GPCs are all great solutions with their pros and cons. Yes, I can confirm that Emlid Studio is free and you can download it here emlid.com/emlid-studio/
I can't say for sure but my assumption is yes. As long as you can download the data for a period of time you should be able to use that to correct the image location data
Hello sir, i have 2 questions. 1. What is the Fix Float and single in Emlid Studio? 2. Some suggest to use the Nav file frim the base, what is the diiferent? **Additional question, I have a probem with DJI DRTK 2 when I input the coordinate and Elevation into DRTK via remote and the warning keep says RTK error, so I wait for a while but the RTK still say converging. I have to turn off and on the drone again then RTK connected. Did i miss something or its normal to turn off and on the drone after input the coordinate. Do You have the same problem like this sir? Thank you
Hi. Thanks for the questions. 1. Fix / Float is only relevant to RTK, not PPK, so I don't believe it's relevant here - although I'm always happy to be educated if I'm wrong! 2. The Emlid Studio manual says you can use either but doesn't go into more details. I think it's actually redundant when using the other files. I don't use the DRTK base station. But I know when I switch methods from custom to DRTK it does say in Pilot 2 that you need to restart the device after the switch, so maybe that is normal?
Very Informative. I've seen this done with GCP's too.
Yes! Different process and different software. Same result.
@@aviosmedia I love what you do Barry!. Keep it going!
Thanks! That means a lot!

Did I miss it but is UFCORS only available in USA ? I know in UK we have access to OS NET RINEX data, would that be the same?
