I'm gonna be so real, you seemed so excited about the Stardust Thief! I think that even if you're a bit scared to jump into pure Fantasy, you should give it a shot with a book you already seem to be interested in.
Definitely unhaul A Winter in New York. The “conflict” annoyed me sooooo much and literally the main character was doing way too much for no reason. You’re not missing out on that, and also it’s not even really thaaaat Wintery.
What you have is TSUNDOKU. It's a Japanese word meaning to acquire books but letting them pile up in one's home without reading them, I also have Tsundoku. Right now 've ordered over 20 books but I have books here thatI haven't even read the first page. Other books I look at I and wonder why in the world did I buy it. Let's start a Tsundoku club! 😄
I don’t trust rewievs becouse Love hypothesis or Cruel prince have high rating but I didn’t like them. And I read fourth wing and the story was interesting and good but I HATED the romance like why do they be always like “ oh I look at him, he’s sexy and hates me. I have to sleep with him” ugh like really it would’ve been 5⭐️ if it been just fantasy
What the river knows is def a romantansy and I highly recommend especially if you liked divine rivals bc it gave me strong divine rivals vibes! The relationship between Whit and Inez is so good and the ending is a twisty cliffhanger!
The stardust thief was so so good even without the romance.. I found it to have an entertaining storyline that kept me hooked till the end, but I’d wait to read it because you’ll definitely want the second book on hand.
Good for you that you know to focus on what you want to read. You don't need to own every book out there. Keep the ones that bring you joy. No apologies needed. Also, thanks for supporting Little Free Libraries.
Seeing you unhaul planes trains and all the feels actually hurts my soul because it is SO SO good!! It is such a fun and cute romcom so i understand if thats not what you're looking for right now but it is a fantastic read!
I'm a newer follower, but I loved Stardust Thief!! Would recommend it. And I do think (I think I remember ) there are traces of romance as you get into it
I wish there were good little libraries around where I live 🥹 the ones that are around me are just filled with like religious books and chicken noodle soup books 😂
All you need: God and soup - Stereotypical Christian Neighbors everywhere. I assume that the Chicken Noodle Soup books are those short story collections but that's not as funny.
Ana Maria and the Fox is so good! It has a lot of great Black and Latino culture and representation in it. It also has a cast of sisters who are all strong female characters. I cant wait to read the next book when it comes out.
I don't normally like historical fiction I always DNF them but I recently read What the River Knows and I really enjoyed it so if you ever decide to pick it up again I think you'd like it.
HI ALI!!!! I’m 14 years old and was wandering if you could give me some suggestions. Some of my favorite books are- Throne of glass series, hunger games, if he had been with me, the cruel Prince, divergent, the summer I turned pretty. I am very above my grade level when it comes to reading. I LOVE ROMANTASY!!!!!
Thats a really good idea.. i was thrown off when Ali unhauled books because the cover looked old or it was written in the 2010's? I was very confused by those "reasons".. lol..
I Have Some Questions For You was definitely closer to literary fiction than a thriller in my opinion, BUT it was so good and one of my favorite books of last year. I think being marketed as more of a thriller hurt it because a lot of readers had misplaced expectations (for instance, I don't actually think it was slow-paced for lit fic at all), but I would highly recommend it
Yes some of Ali's reasons seemed petty - like the cover was old looking or the rom com was written in the 2010's - not contemporary enough..? Although i do get that sometimes a book sits on your shelf for too long so you lose interest.. but i'd have to read a few chapters to see if i wanted to get rid of it... I just unhauled a few thrillers... i have been staring at them for a couple years. Lol..
i am so with you on the historical fiction thing. one author i would highly recommend is ruta sepetys. the actual book by her that i would absolutely love you to try is salt to the sea. it's a WWII historical fiction with 4 perspectives but it's 4 different people from 4 different countries. there is a romance plot in it and the chapters are very short so it goes by really fast but it is a little dark at times as is to be expected in a war historical fiction. she is the only author who's historical fictions i read so i would love you to research it and give it a try! the countries are poland prussia germany and lithuania, so the perspective is really unique since these countries aren't really talked about in WWII books!!❤️❤️❤️
I personally enjoyed The Stardust Thief and am looking forward to the sequel. It wasn’t fantastic but it was enjoyable, that being said, you did say that you needed to read a book to find out if it’s for you. I can’t say whether you’d like it or not but there’s no harm in trying it as you already own a copy 😊
Love the unhaul vids! Also YES as someome who read Planes Trains and All the Feels it was an ok book but not a love for me, seemed too similar to other books I read and was long for my taste. It just wasn't memorable for me and when I finished it I feel like I wasted my time.
I really enjoyed The Stardust Thief when I read it. I’d never read about djinn before. I remember the ending being like 😮. I have not enjoyed waiting so long for the next book.
I love your Videos so so much❤❤! I would recommend to read assistant to the villain, it’s one of my favourite books! Ist just a RomCom with Fantasy and it somehow emotionally destroyed me! Have a great day, love you!❤
When I'm unhauling books, I'll read the summary I ones I bought long ago and wonder why I bought it. Apparently, my reading tastes change. 😂 Also, I can now only read a book while also listening to the audiobook so I'm slowly getting rid of the books on my shelf that don't have an audiobook equivalent and that I know I don't want to buy one for
The concept of What the River Knows is right up my alley and I was suuuppperrr excited to read it and… I was very disappointed. It was so boring. The romance and the characters were really good but it was so hard for me to get through
I LOVED the After series when i read them all in 2019 but i reread After late last year because i had been reading more than ever and was curious if my reading taste had changed and omg i HATED it the second time i gave it 1 stars. The series still holds a special place in my heart though ❤ but good decision unhauling (and also the burning cause that series was sooo boring)
i will give trigger warnings on my reviews if i find a book triggering (To me) because what i find triggering i wont pick it up for a few days unless i need to finish it to give it up, like i have less then 4 hrs left and the main character´s past is SO TRIGGERING TO ME.
I so dislike Historical fiction and Fantasy books. My son and husband love both. Anyway... i am new to Romance (i have always read thrillers and true crime non fiction). And i have never read Rom Com . But suddenly a few months ago i became interested in Romance (Rom Coms only). I have read 2 so far and really enjoyed them.. Hmm.. unhauling books is tough.. it can be hard to choose which to keep and what to let go..especially when you dont have the space to keep them all. I am sure our individual likes will mean we all have different opinions of the same book. But i have never heard of unhauling books because you dont like the covers??? What? Especially the last book being written a couple years too long ago? Have you actualky read that many romance books that you can tell the difference between books written in 2010 or 2020? (Without reading the date)? I cant imagine the date written having much to do with how much you will enjoy the book? Maybe if you are talking about rom com books from the 1980's or earlier because there were not cell phones so no texting or calling any time or place..
When you’re a reader, you don’t read books cause it’s on trend, example everyone now is reading throne of glass series and then you also need to read it. It’s not that, you should read on your own pace. Also why unhaul? Because it’s not on trend anymore? It’s not of the size that fits your taste? Is that a reader? Or it’s just your your job? A true reader reads everything no matter the sizes even on newspapers and magazines.
I'm gonna be so real, you seemed so excited about the Stardust Thief! I think that even if you're a bit scared to jump into pure Fantasy, you should give it a shot with a book you already seem to be interested in.
As a little Library steward, it makes me so happy you’re donating these!
Definitely unhaul A Winter in New York. The “conflict” annoyed me sooooo much and literally the main character was doing way too much for no reason. You’re not missing out on that, and also it’s not even really thaaaat Wintery.

Highly recommend the mistborn series! It is a fantasy with a little romance and it is so good!!
I think you’ll love it
I’ve heard The Stardust Thief is really good! It’s on my tbr as well
On my tbr too!
I don’t trust rewievs becouse Love hypothesis or Cruel prince have high rating but I didn’t like them. What the River knows OBESSED one of my favorites the cover is gorgeous 📙🌹📖📖💕📙🌹📖📚✨✨✨✨📚📙💕📙🌹📖❤️❤️✨✨✨📚📚📖🌹📙💕📙🌹📚✨❤️❤️❤️✨📚📚📖🌹📙❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omg yes the cover is amazing even without the dust cover it's still good!
The stardust thief is one of my favorite reads of last year! It has a subplot of friendship and romance!!
It's on my tbr. Excited for it!
The stardust thief was so so good even without the romance.. I found it to have an entertaining storyline that kept me hooked till the end, but I’d wait to read it because you’ll definitely want the second book on hand.
Love the book videos. Love just watching them while i read because your voice is calming!
It is such a fun and cute romcom so i understand if thats not what you're looking for right now but it is a fantastic read!
you’ve inspired me so much to make book videos, i adore your channel so much🥺
I'm a newer follower, but I loved Stardust Thief!! Would recommend it. And I do think (I think I remember ) there are traces of romance as you get into it
Weyward is SO GOOD! I wouldn’t even classify it as a lit fic… and I don’t like lit fic either. It’s more of a historical magical realism mystery.
I can relate - I live in a small city in China at the moment and there is literally not even 1 English bookstore 😢
Omg i just that you got on your physical tbr thank you so much ali you are the best!
Ana Maria and the Fox is so good! It has a lot of great Black and Latino culture and representation in it. It also has a cast of sisters who are all strong female characters. I cant wait to read the next book when it comes out.
OMG! Love ur Valentine’s Day decorations so cute!!❤️🌹✨✨❤️💕📙📙📙✨📚❤️❤️🌹📚💕💕📙📙✨✨🌹❤️📖📖❤️✨📚💕💕📙📙✨✨📚❤️📖❤️📚📚💕💕📙📙✨✨📚🌹📖📖❤️❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A new video from Ali, my day just got so much better 🥰🥰🥰
After is toxic but honestly I ate it up multiple times 😭 the movies are *horrible* compared to the books.
Most of the important parts aren't even in the films
I've literally been waiting for this videooooo. I'M SO EXCITEDDDD
I don't normally like historical fiction I always DNF them but I recently read What the River Knows and I really enjoyed it so if you ever decide to pick it up again I think you'd like it.
I am so excited about wayward its currently in my backpack waiting for me to finish my current read
I love your videos Ali!! Clicked so fast!! ❤❤❤
what the river knows is also a romantasy !! I really think you could like it
On my tbr! ❤
Shatter me it is the best series
The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy by Rae Carson is so good and so underrated!! It’s romantasy and ya!
@@makeasplash8149 OK THANK YOU! Gotta check it out. Currently reading CC
I would say that Stardust Thief teases the possibility of the beginning of a romance that may be developed in later books if that helps.
you almost gave me a heart attack when you raised shadow and bone up😅
I love all your videos so much! I always get so excited when you post. Thanks!
Sees new JustAli video, looks at book. Brain: Book or Ali... Ali with books!! 🤣
15:15 did she said Bratz
lol that’s a bible 😅
PS I love your videos 🫶💜
pls read shadow and bone🥺🥺 the third book is sooooo good😍😍
"The library is so perfectly stocked for kids."
Puts "After" inside.🧐😂
I was so disappointed by What The River Knows tbh i need to unhaul it as well! 😅
Girl DONT GET RID OF WHAT THE RIVER KNOWS!! It *is* romantasy and you’re gonna flip for it, it’s SO GOOD!
Maybe for those books you debated unhauling or not, you could read the first chapter and choose from that? It could also possibly be a video
Thats a really good idea.. i was thrown off when Ali unhauled books because the cover looked old or it was written in the 2010's? I was very confused by those "reasons".. lol..
@@robinjones1955 to each their own!
The After series is what got me into spicy romance. 😂 I loved the whole series, but I also read them in high school.
I Have Some Questions For You was definitely closer to literary fiction than a thriller in my opinion, BUT it was so good and one of my favorite books of last year. I think being marketed as more of a thriller hurt it because a lot of readers had misplaced expectations (for instance, I don't actually think it was slow-paced for lit fic at all), but I would highly recommend it
Not What the River Knows! It’s so good!!!! 😢 there’s romance in it😅
I think you should totally read The Stardust Thief!
Keep Resist. The first book Breathe is really good. I enjoyed it, I have yet to read resist though
I’m all for unhauling but maybe try a chapter of some you might find a surprise before you unhaul it
Yes some of Ali's reasons seemed petty - like the cover was old looking or the rom com was written in the 2010's - not contemporary enough..? Although i do get that sometimes a book sits on your shelf for too long so you lose interest.. but i'd have to read a few chapters to see if i wanted to get rid of it...
I just unhauled a few thrillers... i have been staring at them for a couple years. Lol..
why did the plot of resists remind me of the lorax 😭😭😭
i am so with you on the historical fiction thing. one author i would highly recommend is ruta sepetys. the actual book by her that i would absolutely love you to try is salt to the sea. it's a WWII historical fiction with 4 perspectives but it's 4 different people from 4 different countries. there is a romance plot in it and the chapters are very short so it goes by really fast but it is a little dark at times as is to be expected in a war historical fiction. she is the only author who's historical fictions i read so i would love you to research it and give it a try! the countries are poland prussia germany and lithuania, so the perspective is really unique since these countries aren't really talked about in WWII books!!❤️❤️❤️

girl. If you want a more, in-depth romance you need to read The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. It is SO good
Omg yes! Kristin Hannah is an amazing author!!
I’m reading Bring Me Your Midnight this month. I hope I enjoy it as much as you did!
Hey Ali! You have so many books now! Do you still go to the library these days?
I am so excited about stardust thief I'm reading it after wayward
I wish you had a pango account 😭😭
I've been trying to get through A Winter in New York since Christmas. I just need to put it down lol
I love your Videos so so much❤❤! I would recommend to read assistant to the villain, it’s one of my favourite books! Ist just a RomCom with Fantasy and it somehow emotionally destroyed me! Have a great day, love you!❤
I feel this I have too many books I don’t read ❤😅
Maybe you can make a video where you read all your maybe books 😊
Can you read the book LOVE REDESIGNED ❤
yesss I really want to! I'm currently finishing the Dreamland billionaires series also by Lauren Asher then I want to start Love Redesigned!
Love boat Taipei is incredible so much better than the movie in my opinion, you have gave me some books which I might look into
When I'm unhauling books, I'll read the summary I ones I bought long ago and wonder why I bought it. Apparently, my reading tastes change. 😂
Also, I can now only read a book while also listening to the audiobook so I'm slowly getting rid of the books on my shelf that don't have an audiobook equivalent and that I know I don't want to buy one for
I love historical fiction!😂 Especially books set during World War II.
5:09 ohh thhat sounds like a book for me, I LOVE historical fiction and with fantasy! wow
Yay you posted you made my day ❤❤
Keep the book of the Stardust theif and plus it's part of a trilogy. It's so good.

OMG I gave what the river knows 5 stars, you have to read!!!
It's soo SWEET to donate books or free little lib
I would love some books from unhaul ❣️ cuz I can't really buy books
I like one of us is back though I still have to read it it’s on my to dolist😊
oo im super intro see what you un-hauled!👏🏽💗
My reaction of you unhauling after: 😧😲🥺😭
i’m early! i love your videos sm ali❤
Great video! I DNF’d The Stardust Thief. I just could not get into it.
Low key kept getting distracted by your cat in the background… 😂😍
Just a reminder: There are so few books which have been adapted to film that actually follow the novel.
Omg i love your videos❤❤
You dodged a BULLET with not reading a winter in New York I wished I wouldn’t of read it
Ali: It’s about a world that has no air, and if you wanna survive you have to pay to breathe…
Me: so the Lorax-
Wow there are so many nice books you're giving away.
In my free library you only find books from the 1950's falling apart and full of sex1sm 💀
I’m sending you love❤❤❤
After really sucked me in when I first read it. It’s not that good but it’s SO entertaining😅
The concept of What the River Knows is right up my alley and I was suuuppperrr excited to read it and… I was very disappointed. It was so boring. The romance and the characters were really good but it was so hard for me to get through

I love historical fiction but Weyward was not good so good choice! 👍🏻
I was so disappointed by the Loveboat Taipei movie, they changed some big things from the book (like who she ends up with). The book was way better
I have some questions for you. A friend got it . Ill have to ask her if she likes it or not lol
Weyward was meh.
