My goal was to read 5 books this year. I was in a reading slump of 5+ years, I used to read at least 100 books a year and with my ADHD getting worse over time I stopped reading. 🙈 So far I've hit 5 books! I'm so proud of myself and can't wait to keep reading more 😄
yess this is so me!!! i used to love reading but with my adhd also getting worse over time it got harder to switch tasks and focus. just recently got on meds in august and i made it a goal to read 10 books before 2023 is over (i'm at 6) and we've got this!!
I used to struggle to. Best thing i did for my self is turn on the audio book as i follow along on the physical copy. It was the only thing that could get me through my assigned AP Lit readings.
I started reading again after almost 6 years, so my goal was „only“ 30 books. Since I’m currently at 41, I wanna finish 50 😄 100 are definitely admirable!
Congratulations!! Just reading this amount of books is a great achievement 🎉💕 my goal this year was 23 but I changed it to 75 because I was crushing it. Now I have 8 books left for the year!
My challenge this year was to read 20 books. Ive only would read 3 before. But I really wanted to complete my goal and I did it! I didnt think i would be to do it because Im a slow reader. Im pretty proud of myself.
That awesome🎉. I read every little books before this and I was able to finish my goal of 25 books. Its an incredible feeling of barley reading at all to reading, to reading more books then most people will read in a lifetime.
The way you described “a romance that makes my heart hurt because of how much I want them to be together” is how I feel reading These Violent Delights 😭😭
Hi Ali! I wanted to give some book recs so... here they are 1. The serpent and dove series is one of my faves. It's set in France when the church was the government and people believed in witches, except the witches were actually real and there are chasseurs (witch hunters). You follow the story of Louise Le Blanc and Ried Diggory. They are forced to marry and so on, and THE PLOT IS CRAZY!!! You do need to keep in mind that all three books are basically consecutive, so where the first book ends, the second book starts right away. Due to this, there are SO MANY cliffhangers. 5-star series for me!!! Also, the books are like 550 pages each so.... good luck!!! 2. The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy is a 6-star series for me!!! It follows Auren who is called 'the king's gold favoured'... like she is LITERALLY GOLD! The books are so crazy and there is a kind of love triangle... it's hard to explain, so it would make me so happy if u read it!!! 3. Twilight. It's self-explanatory. Maybe you could do a Twilight reading vlog to see your thoughts!!! 4. On the edge by Joanna Mazurkiewicz is a romance between a rich, Scottish man named Dexter and a nurse who is a pole dancer in her free time named Sasha. This book is SPICY, like spicy from the first sentence. If you are in the mood for a really spicy romance... this is it. 5. I just saw My Fault by Mercedes Ron on your cart and I would just like to say I LOVED this book! It is definitely and bad boy-good girl romance an if basically finished in 1 sitting. I hope you enjoy it! Anyway, those are my book recs! I hope you take them into consideration for some of your next reads! I love your book videos, they are such chill vibes and always get me in the mood to read!
I wanted to read 12 books this year, but I was in a reading slump for around 4 months. I had read around 7 books but I’ve now read 16 books all together🤭
I only downloaded Goodreads a couple days ago but will 100% be doing a yearly goal for 2024 Also I love your channel so much, I get so many book recommendations from you and your channel is one of the reasons why I love reading so much now ❤❤
I officially got back into reading last spring and read 37 books last year. This year I decided to try for 50 and I’m getting so close!! I’m currently on book 44 (Finale by Stephanie Garber) and I’m really loving it and now getting super excited for the following series!! 😃😝 Also, keeping my fingers crossed I can hit my goal! 🤞 50 is a lot for me and it would feel so satisfying to read that many. 😊 I hope you have fun and enjoy all your reading as you get closer to your goal as well!! Good luck Ali!! 😊❤️
in 2021 i only read 6, so my goal for 2022 was 15. i ended up reading 38. this year, my goal was 50, and it looks like i can get to 60!! i'm very proud of myself. i just started using audiobooks and it's such a game changer!
i read 4 books last year, I really tried to commit to reading and getting off my phone this year.. on top of a very overbearing work schedule where i’m always on call and have weird hours I set myself a goal of 2 books a month (24 books) in 2023… so far i’m on book 45!
My goal for this year was 50 books. I was such a slow reader the past two years, that the most I read in year was 55 and 48. So I thought 50 books would be a good goal. I'm proud to say that, some time this year my reading has improved and I read now, 12 books a month, instead of 6. My goal has been reach! I'm up to 83 books, and counting!! I know you can do it, Ali. Thank you for inspiring so much.
My reading goal for the year was 20 books! I have surpassed the goal by reading 31 books, hoping to get to 35 by the end of the year! Congrats on 150k subscribers!! 🎉
I've been in a reading slump the last 2 years but it started to get better during August of this year, so I challenged myself to read 20 books by the end of the year. I'm currently at 14, just 6 more to go! I love watching your videos for inspo to get out of my mini reading slumps 😂
This is the first year that I haven’t been studying or at uni, I hadn’t read a book since I was 15 because working and studying was taking all my brain power. Buuuut I’ve read 51 books since March and I’m so excited! My goal was 15 this year and I’ve smashed that out of the park. Plus, my mental health is so much better now that I’m not spending as much time on my phone too ☺️
i lovee readingg....but as i am a student in highschool i kept my reading goal to 40 books...i finished 43 books!! i am happy that i succeeded my goal especially a month before the year ends so i can have more time with my family!!! alsoo love ur videoss ali!!!
My goal was to read 20 books this year and I’m currently at 33! I changed my goal to 40 and at this point I’m not sure I’ll make it! So this video was super motivating for me to catch up!
Last year I read very few books for fun... this year however, my goal has changed twice! initially I wanted to read 15 books. By April or May of this year I hit that goal, and now I am on the road to completing 50 books this year! I have about 10 to go, but I might push myself to read more that 50 books by the new year! we will see! while reading is a new hobby of mine, am only enjoying it more as time passes and as I see content from booktubers like yourself! keep up the amazing work Ali! We all appreciate you!
I’ve read the Everyday novel version, and thought it was a really unique premise. The graphic novel sounds really intriguing I’ll have to find myself a copy of the graphic novel soon. On another reading note, if you love ebooks, Immersive Translate should be right up your alley. You can use it to translate the ebooks waiting in your TBR list that’s written in another language. Are you a manga fan? There’s also a cool feature, where you can get accurate translations to the manga you’re currently reading, which is a total plus.
This reminded me of Goodreads and I now have 7 books left! I'm really excited to finish and start some Christmas ones. Could you do a Christmas/ new year recommendation nearer the time?......
Your so close!! Keep going!! My challenge was to read 40 and I’ve now read 46 so changed it to 50. Last year I read 26 and the year before maybe 1 book. I’ve definitely found my love for reading again ❤
Omg this is so funny! My sister almost read every book from this video, and she recommended those to me. But you really inspire me to read more. Right now I'm also reading a book and I have read 150 pages so far! I am really proud of myself since I'm quite a slow reader.
I’ve read the most this year at 127 books so far I’ve never read over 50 books. I thank you booktubers for getting me into heavily reading! And I’m sorry did Luca just open the door at the end of your Curse For True Love clip 😮
I have just started reading book and i am so glad saw your channel. somthing about you and channel make me more to watch your content. you are doing great keep posting and thank you for giving us so much good content ❤
As a reader and writer, I knew I could never do anything ambitious like that, cause half my "reading" time would go to my other hobby, writing (plus I also illustrate for my stories so that's more time) so I did 10 books at the start, then got to the goal and changed it to 15 and now I'm around 20.. have to check again and some of the books I read aren't on goodreads, so I've read more lol
When I’m behind or getting behind, I always read poetry books, novellas, or graphic novels/comics. I know some people would kind of consider that to be like cheating, but honestly it helps so much. Often times I can read multiple graphic novels/comics in a day, a novella takes like 2 days, and poetry books could be anywhere from an hour or a few hours depending how long the poems are.
I wanted to read 30 books this year and every time I met my reading goal I pushed it even further back. Now I have read 61 books and am in middle of other 3 and I am so proud of myself. This doesn’t even include all the manhwas and webnovels I read❤
So glad you are going to get to complete your goal! I love reading and I always watch your videos to get myself out of a reading slump I only have 13 books until I make my goal! I’m so proud of you and all that you accomplished! Also, I would recommend You’ve Reached Sam! I don’t know if you’ve read it but it’s a about this girl who’s bf dies and she’s able to call him and speak to him again. It’s a really sweet romance book I think you would like!
I started reading properly from September 2022, by the end of 2022 I had managed to read around 30 books so I decided to continue it on into this year. My book goal for the year was 100 at the start but then I was reading so much that I put it up to 110 and now I'm on 113
I read the full novel of 'Everyday' and really loved it! I would really recommend you give it a try. To me it was quite deep and I liked A a lot. I do think you need a little more pages to fully get the depth of such a new concept. ❤❤❤
i kinda was in a depressive episode for most of 2022 and i read only 5 books, so i wanted to be kind to myself and set a 15 books reading goal in 2023. im proud to say i'm at 19 books now
I always set my goal to 100 knowing I can do that in the first six months and then I slow down way down in reading. However I’m very close to 150 and now I’m pushing to get there.
Good luck! My reading goal is 250 books and I've read 219 so far. I'm definitely going to reach if not exceed it. I'm planning to read a lot of manga next month.
I've already hit my GR goal this year. But last year, I needed to read some shorter books about this time of the year. I know you're more of a romance and fantasy reader, but try the first Murderbot novella by Martha Wells. All Systems Red.
Ali, I absolutely love your videos! They are so easy to watch… a 5 star viewing! I have one major question. Where did you get your outfit from Friday from? I’m obsessed! Get well son Luca ❤
My goal for this year was 20 books and its been the most books I’ve ever read in a year. I am now at 25 books (26 if you include my dnf of once upon a broken heart). I still want to read a few books this year but I am going pretty slow lately. I think for next year I will set a goal of 30 and I am a bit anxious about it already…
My original goal for this year was 52 books…. I’m now at 93 lol so now the goal is 100 books. I’m an avid audiobook listener so I can multitask while listening to a book
My goal for this year is 52 and I’m currently at 25 read. 😂 Definitely going to read some short books and graphic novels these next few weeks to hopefully hit my goal.
Do you count books that you dnf on your goodreads challenge? I always struggle with the fact that it counts it as read since I didn’t complete it I don’t consider it read
My goal was 50 due to a lot of additional study stuff this year, but I’m currently sitting at 92 books with at least another 2 books finished this week, if not today. I want to hit 100 like I did last year, but it’s now looking like it could be 110 if not more.
My goal this year was to read 50 books and I read 65, super happy about that because I couldn’t reach my goal last year (only did 42/50) but trying to reach 70 til the end of the year but I’m currently in a reading slump so that’ll be hard 🙈
I have just recently started reading again this month, and am trying to decide what goal I should make for myself for 2024. Everyone in the comments is saying they read way more than their goal, but I also don't want to intimidate myself to the point I just give up, you know?
Ali, I have a question for you! Have you ever read the love and gelato series by Jenna evans welch? Im on the third and final book, and its so good if you haven't read it. I totally recommend it as a fellow reader!
I can read genuinely fast if I stop getting distracted, but I have no idea how to stop getting distracted 😭 like I try to turn my phone off but then I need to watch a tiktok that popped into my head and it makes me annoyed. Hopefully when I try to read on my kindle I don’t get distracted
My challenge was 15 but I started reading seriously in October so I’m 3 books behind and I’m currently reading Crescent city 😂 so I’m definitely not hitting 15 by Jan 1
My goal was to read 5 books this year. I was in a reading slump of 5+ years, I used to read at least 100 books a year and with my ADHD getting worse over time I stopped reading. 🙈
So far I've hit 5 books! I'm so proud of myself and can't wait to keep reading more 😄
Yayyyy!! Im so happy for you
aw thank you, i really appreciate that!@@trynafindnatalie9146
yess this is so me!!! i used to love reading but with my adhd also getting worse over time it got harder to switch tasks and focus. just recently got on meds in august and i made it a goal to read 10 books before 2023 is over (i'm at 6) and we've got this!!
Yesss good job! That’s also my goal and I’ve only read 3 so far I’m currently on my 4th I think I might do it!
I used to struggle to. Best thing i did for my self is turn on the audio book as i follow along on the physical copy. It was the only thing that could get me through my assigned AP Lit readings.
I started reading again after almost 6 years, so my goal was „only“ 30 books. Since I’m currently at 41, I wanna finish 50 😄
100 are definitely admirable!
"Only" 😂
My reading goal was 52 (one book a week), but now I've read 95 books. I'm so excited by the idea of hitting 100 before the end of the year! 🎉🎉🎉
Theres a veryyy big difference beetween 52 and 95!! Goodjob :)
Congratulations!! Just reading this amount of books is a great achievement 🎉💕 my goal this year was 23 but I changed it to 75 because I was crushing it. Now I have 8 books left for the year!
omg thats awesome! It's the best feeling to be able to increase your goal.

u should be!! that's so great :D
Way to go!!🎉
My goal for the year was 30 books (which I’ve never done) and I’m currently at 54! I’ve surprised myself this year!
does anybody else love watching people read? I love you reading vlogs Ali!!❤❤

I had to lower my goal this year to 10 books because my job and college take up 90% of my time, but I already made it with time to read a few more😊❤️

Hi I love your channel so so so much you inspired me to start my own channel and now I have 72 subscribers And thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️
Love your channel
I got out of a multiple years slump last year so my goal this year is 30 and I'm currently reading my 29th!! Getting a kindle really changed the game!
I am a highschool student my goal was 25 books for this year well i seem to have read 26 books which i am pround of
I started reading properly from September 2022, by the end of 2022 I had managed to read around 30 books so I decided to continue it on into this year.
i kinda was in a depressive episode for most of 2022 and i read only 5 books, so i wanted to be kind to myself and set a 15 books reading goal in 2023. im proud to say i'm at 19 books now
Loved the video.
I watched the movie Every Day. I didn't realize it was a book 🤦🏼♀️. I will have to look into it. ❤
I always set my goal to 100 knowing I can do that in the first six months and then I slow down way down in reading. However I’m very close to 150 and now I’m pushing to get there.
A new fav video!
I love it!
❤
You did very well there! Good luck with your reading goal!
I am literally stuck at 99. Im in the worst reading slump.
Ali, I love you so much and you always make me smile, even at my lowest. I hope you are having an amazing day! ❤📚
Good luck! My reading goal is 250 books and I've read 219 so far. I'm definitely going to reach if not exceed it. I'm planning to read a lot of manga next month.
I've never read consistently, so I set a goal of 23 books before the end of 2023...and I am 2 books away from that goal!!! 😊
My goals was 30, which I definitely reached having read 43 already. I’m trying to at least read 45-48 to finish the year!
My goal for 2023 was 10 and I read 23! (Half were fanfiction and wattpad books but also at least 10 was actual published books so I did it!)
Love your videos and you so much Ali ❤❤
My original goal for this year was 52 books…. I’m now at 93 lol so now the goal is 100 books. I’m an avid audiobook listener so I can multitask while listening to a book
My goal for this year is 52 and I’m currently at 25 read. 😂 Definitely going to read some short books and graphic novels these next few weeks to hopefully hit my goal.
Do you count books that you dnf on your goodreads challenge? I always struggle with the fact that it counts it as read since I didn’t complete it I don’t consider it read
How did you get the UK edition of A Curse For True Love or even any in the series? I really want the UK covers! Love your vids!!
My goal was 50 due to a lot of additional study stuff this year, but I’m currently sitting at 92 books with at least another 2 books finished this week, if not today. I want to hit 100 like I did last year, but it’s now looking like it could be 110 if not more.
My reading goal was 24 books but I have already managed to read 31 hehe go team ✨
O literally screamed of happines when you posted yayyyyy❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My goal this year was to read 50 books and I read 65, super happy about that because I couldn’t reach my goal last year (only did 42/50) but trying to reach 70 til the end of the year but I’m currently in a reading slump so that’ll be hard 🙈
Room service sounds like it would be fun
I love the book by L.J. Shen!!!! Especially the villain and the devil wears black❤ btw. love you and your videos
my goal was 20 but i changed it to 30 cause I got really motivated and finished early. I've read 32 books already!!
I just got back into reading last year. My goal for this year was 40. I just finished my 64th book earlier today
What website do you use to order your UK versions?? 😊
Books>>>>>
Congratulations!!!!
My goal is 101 books, I hit it today!
I’m quite surprised that I did, because I also got my masters degree but I guess sleep is for the dead!
I wanted to read 50 this year and already hit the goal!
Can you do a video of reading Lucy Score books for a day please I love your channel❤
The book mark you are using while reading a curse for true love is so cute!! Where did you get that?!
hey ali! what app are you using for audiobooks? i can’t find any good apps. thanks!
My goal this year was 30 books and I'll hit it once I finish this month's book club book.
I have just recently started reading again this month, and am trying to decide what goal I should make for myself for 2024. Everyone in the comments is saying they read way more than their goal, but I also don't want to intimidate myself to the point I just give up, you know?
My goal this year was 100 books and I am right on track at 89 books!
But where did you get that sweater?! 😍
Everyday the book is very good!! Would def help with the surface level comment. There are also two other books in the series.
I really enjoyed this video and very encouraging
My book was 20 as I barely hit 15 last year but now I've read 39 books so far 😂😂
Ali, I have a question for you! Have you ever read the love and gelato series by Jenna evans welch? Im on the third and final book, and its so good if you haven't read it. I totally recommend it as a fellow reader!
I am only 10 books away from 100 books. I am so excited to see if I can make it.
My reading goal for this year was 20 books, but then I changed it to 25, and I have two books left for this year! 🎉🎉
My goal was 30 book. I completed the goal in summer and now I'm 17 books ahead of schedule lol
I can read genuinely fast if I stop getting distracted, but I have no idea how to stop getting distracted 😭 like I try to turn my phone off but then I need to watch a tiktok that popped into my head and it makes me annoyed. Hopefully when I try to read on my kindle I don’t get distracted
If you're looking for something to read I highly recommend reading "Shade Me" series by Jennifer Brown.
I am 30 books away from my goal 😬 im hoping to at least get through 10 somehow before the end of the year 😂
I’m going to try to read 25. That’s just over 2 books a month. I think that’s doable. 🎉
My challenge was 15 but I started reading seriously in October so I’m 3 books behind and I’m currently reading Crescent city 😂 so I’m definitely not hitting 15 by Jan 1
