Description so this video is more searchable: I set a goodreads goal of reading 100 books in a year. I'm currently 10 books behind. In this reading vlog I am trying to read ten books in a week to catch up on my yearly reading goal.

My challenge this year was to read 20 books. Ive only would read 3 before. But I really wanted to complete my goal and I did it! I didnt think i would be to do it because Im a slow reader. Im pretty proud of myself.

My goal was to read 5 books this year. I was in a reading slump of 5+ years, I used to read at least 100 books a year and with my ADHD getting worse over time I stopped reading. 🙈
So far I've hit 5 books! I'm so proud of myself and can't wait to keep reading more 😄

yess this is so me!!! i used to love reading but with my adhd also getting worse over time it got harder to switch tasks and focus. just recently got on meds in august and i made it a goal to read 10 books before 2023 is over (i'm at 6) and we've got this!!

I used to struggle to. Best thing i did for my self is turn on the audio book as i follow along on the physical copy. It was the only thing that could get me through my assigned AP Lit readings.
I started reading again after almost 6 years, so my goal was „only“ 30 books. Since I’m currently at 41, I wanna finish 50 😄

My goal was 7 books since I am a beginner to reading and started in June/July. I have already doubled my goal by hitting 14 books and I'm so proud of myself! Also to all of you who have or haven't made your goals I'm proud of you for having them.

Hi Ali! I wanted to give some book recs so... here they are
1. The serpent and dove series is one of my faves. It's set in France when the church was the government and people believed in witches, except the witches were actually real and there are chasseurs (witch hunters). You follow the story of Louise Le Blanc and Ried Diggory. They are forced to marry and so on, and THE PLOT IS CRAZY!!! You do need to keep in mind that all three books are basically consecutive, so where the first book ends, the second book starts right away. Due to this, there are SO MANY cliffhangers. 5-star series for me!!! Also, the books are like 550 pages each so.... good luck!!!
2. The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy is a 6-star series for me!!! It follows Auren who is called 'the king's gold favoured'... like she is LITERALLY GOLD! The books are so crazy and there is a kind of love triangle... it's hard to explain, so it would make me so happy if u read it!!!
3. Twilight. It's self-explanatory. Maybe you could do a Twilight reading vlog to see your thoughts!!!
4. On the edge by Joanna Mazurkiewicz is a romance between a rich, Scottish man named Dexter and a nurse who is a pole dancer in her free time named Sasha. This book is SPICY, like spicy from the first sentence. If you are in the mood for a really spicy romance... this is it.
5. I just saw My Fault by Mercedes Ron on your cart and I would just like to say I LOVED this book! It is definitely and bad boy-good girl romance an if basically finished in 1 sitting. I hope you enjoy it!

I wanted to read 12 books this year, but I was in a reading slump for around 4 months. I had read around 7 books but I’ve now read 16 books all together🤭
in 2021 i only read 6, so my goal for 2022 was 15. i ended up reading 38. this year, my goal was 50, and it looks like i can get to 60!! i'm very proud of myself. i just started using audiobooks and it's such a game changer!
I only downloaded Goodreads a couple days ago but will 100% be doing a yearly goal for 2024

I officially got back into reading last spring and read 37 books last year. This year I decided to try for 50 and I’m getting so close!! I’m currently on book 44 (Finale by Stephanie Garber) and I’m really loving it and now getting super excited for the following series!! 😃😝 Also, keeping my fingers crossed I can hit my goal! 🤞 50 is a lot for me and it would feel so satisfying to read that many. 😊

i read 4 books last year, I really tried to commit to reading and getting off my phone this year.. on top of a very overbearing work schedule where i’m always on call and have weird hours I set myself a goal of 2 books a month (24 books) in 2023… so far i’m on book 45!
I had to lower my goal this year to 10 books because my job and college take up 90% of my time, but I already made it with time to read a few more😊❤️
My goal was to read 20 books this year and I’m currently at 33! I changed my goal to 40 and at this point I’m not sure I’ll make it! So this video was super motivating for me to catch up!

This is the first year that I haven’t been studying or at uni, I hadn’t read a book since I was 15 because working and studying was taking all my brain power. Buuuut I’ve read 51 books since March and I’m so excited! My goal was 15 this year and I’ve smashed that out of the park. Plus, my mental health is so much better now that I’m not spending as much time on my phone too ☺️

Last year I read very few books for fun... this year however, my goal has changed twice! initially I wanted to read 15 books. By April or May of this year I hit that goal, and now I am on the road to completing 50 books this year! I have about 10 to go, but I might push myself to read more that 50 books by the new year! we will see! while reading is a new hobby of mine, am only enjoying it more as time passes and as I see content from booktubers like yourself! keep up the amazing work Ali! I've been in a reading slump the last 2 years but it started to get better during August of this year, so I challenged myself to read 20 books by the end of the year. I'm currently at 14, just 6 more to go! I love watching your videos for inspo to get out of my mini reading slumps 😂

My goal for this year was 50 books. I was such a slow reader the past two years, that the most I read in year was 55 and 48. So I thought 50 books would be a good goal. I'm proud to say that, some time this year my reading has improved and I read now, 12 books a month, instead of 6. My goal has been reach! I'm up to 83 books, and counting!!

I read the full novel of 'Everyday' and really loved it! I would really recommend you give it a try. To me it was quite deep and I liked A a lot. I do think you need a little more pages to fully get the depth of such a new concept. ❤❤❤

I started reading properly from September 2022, by the end of 2022 I had managed to read around 30 books so I decided to continue it on into this year. My book goal for the year was 100 at the start but then I was reading so much that I put it up to 110 and now I'm on 113
I've already hit my GR goal this year. But last year, I needed to read some shorter books about this time of the year. I know you're more of a romance and fantasy reader, but try the first Murderbot novella by Martha Wells. All Systems Red.
Do you count books that you dnf on your goodreads challenge? I always struggle with the fact that it counts it as read since I didn’t complete it I don’t consider it read
I wanted to read 30 books this year and every time I met my reading goal I pushed it even further back. Now I have read 61 books and am in middle of other 3 and I am so proud of myself. This doesn’t even include all the manhwas and webnovels I read❤

I always set my goal to 100 knowing I can do that in the first six months and then I slow down way down in reading. However I’m very close to 150 and now I’m pushing to get there.

As a reader and writer, I knew I could never do anything ambitious like that, cause half my "reading" time would go to my other hobby, writing (plus I also illustrate for my stories so that's more time) so I did 10 books at the start, then got to the goal and changed it to 15 and now I'm around 20.. have to check again and some of the books I read aren't on goodreads, so I've read more lol
When I’m behind or getting behind, I always read poetry books, novellas, or graphic novels/comics. I know some people would kind of consider that to be like cheating, but honestly it helps so much. Often times I can read multiple graphic novels/comics in a day, a novella takes like 2 days, and poetry books could be anywhere from an hour or a few hours depending how long the poems are.

My goal for this year was 20 books and its been the most books I’ve ever read in a year. I am now at 25 books (26 if you include my dnf of once upon a broken heart). I still want to read a few books this year but I am going pretty slow lately.
