    This channel has been eating my life up ever since I found it. Haven't played chess for decades, but the "Beginner to Master" series is tempting me back too. Very enjoyable.

      Noumenonentity It’s really fun. All you got to do is download lichess on your phone and play a game for free. It’s really fun and definitely worth your time trust me.

    Hey Jerry, thanks for all your videos. I have PTSD and often have flashbacks right before falling asleep. Watching your videos at night really helps with that, and they also help me become a better chess player.

    Jerry needs to blitz more! It would be nice to see you go for the podium or higher placement... :(

  • @SaintD382
    @SaintD382 6 лет назад

    Jerry is usually the strongest player in these Lichess tournaments--yet he often finishes second or third (even fourth, in this case).
    That's largely because of the "berserking" option, which Jerry rarely uses. This feature allows weaker players to overtake him in the standings, because they berserk and he doesn't.
    Jerry would probably win more tournaments on a server that doesn't have berserking, but it's hard to imagine him playing anywhere else.

    You are Really good Jerry. You did commit some mistakes (of course as the perspective of a person that is not on the "heat" of the moment" against the Zu, and twice against Edi, but holy crap that was a fast chess

    Jerry,
    I have all kinds of questions. First of all I've looked this up a bunch but there are no clear answers. How do you get a USCF title like you? I know you have to apply and what not. I'm specifically talking about tournaments vs online play. Unfortunately I'm 20 and got serious about chess a year ago and this is a ultimate goal in chess for me. Probably should mention I have never played a tournament in my life! Anyways any insight/advice you have would be awesome.

    • @ChessNetwork
      @ChessNetwork  7 лет назад +1

      This site can probably help to answer many of your questions:
      new.uschess.org
      I'm called a National Master because I've obtained a USCF rating of 2200 or more.

    I'm kind of being reminded of how lively Jerry was back at ChessCube (especially every time he's paired up with antonanton at all the games after [90]). A bit less "active", but nonetheless, always enjoyed the games.
