- Memorial build for my late mum Irmgard Christa Dalock, who loved butterflies, so I used some of her jewellery in the build.

excellent build...like always ;-) my favorite moment: "Iiiiih, squeeze out!"
A privilege and a pleasure to watch a true highly skilled Luthier at work . What a beautiful guitar. I can only imagine a mother smiling down extremely proud of everything her daughter is doing.
Thank you. Made me tear up. (also in a good way.)
So sorry for your loss Gabi. Beautiful work as always. Absolutely love the jewelry touch.
Thank you, Patrick.
you are not only special guitar maker, But you are also special music sound maker with smart ear💚💚💚
Gabi, I'm sure that your late mother would be proud that you have built this beautiful memorial to her!!! The fingerboard inlay was so intricate and you made it look so easy!!! Another really enjoyable video, thanks Gabi
Thnaks, Philip.
Hello, you are truly an exceptional person, I am embarking on the manufacture of a guitar because of or thanks to you, your examples are speakingly simple and effective, thank you again for this very rich video, I do not know if the translation will be correct but again a big thank you
Your work is spectacular friend, I haven't seen your projects in a long time, I see that you continue to evolve.. I have two vintage guitars that I want to repair..... the model Zuzuki violin co. Lto. 1977 Three-S, No. F-150. I removed a tuning fork that was glued to it to remove the Spanish, and I am hoping to improve my finances to put a tuning fork (fretboard) on it according to the good sound it can give me, which it recommends economically. In view of the situation in my country Venezuela . and I have a NIPPON GAKKI f-80...that I am going to paint.... but the country situation and the little economic income does not allow me to move forward, greetings from Venezuela...
I feel sorry for your loss. But your work is fantastic to see and hear! Please go on, from paris
Thank you.
Looks great sounds even better.
Glad to see you back with another awesome video.
Eine wunderschöne Gitarre! Ein wunderbares Andenken!

Fun build to watch. Great sound, too. Can't help but feel the tension when you are doing steps later in the build that could ruin so many steps previous!
What an amazing building process and result!!! Bravo Gabi 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Beautiful, your finest guitar so far!
I think this is my favorite of your builds, Love the inlay work, might need to get some tickets for the custom build, such a beautiful guitar and sounds amazing too!

Lieber E.,
hab vielen Dank.
Beautiful build!
Thank you.
beautiful work
That was fun!
Excellent Travail ! Très plaisant à regarder! Nice video
It must be cold in Germany Gabriele, I t's the first time I've seeen you work with gloves. BTW I always like the sound of your guitars. I am a builder myself in Australia. A small independent operation like you. It's getting costly to make the customer what they want and I go thriough every detail of that with them ( and do not charge $15,000 like that pommy English girl). I work out a price with the customer that covers my costs, makes me a little, but most importantly they get the guitar they want. Always learn from you, Cheers from Downunder.
The gloves are because of the heat from the freshly steamed wood and when taking it out of the steambox, some protection is required. ;-)
Muy mecanizado
✨Gabriele 🙏🏼🌺✨
❤❤❤
Very hard work, I also made two guitars for me in India. I just want to know, that as you check the flexibility of Top and Top was flexible , so the back also be flexible like top or we should keep it some stiff as comapre to top.
I flap it and when I get a sound like thunder, I'm fine. That means the back is stiffer (because it's ahrder wood) but also resonant.
Hi Gabriele, Another beautiful guitar build, even more special, as dedicated to your late mother. I have just started my first guitar build, and having watched 100's of videos on the subject, decided to go for your method of bending sides, using steam box and a former, all seamed to be going well, bent first side (rosewood) left on former over night, however, when I took it off the former, there was a lot of spring back and very difficult to get into the jig, so decided to try and improve the shape with a luthiers bending iron, only I managed to crack the side. I'm sure i'm not the first to have this problem, and hopefully learn by my mistakes. Do you have problems with spring back? and are there any tricks to overcome the problem? Thank you for all your great videos, I find them very inspirational
Hi there,
rosewood has the most springback of all the woods I build with. You can overbend a bit, but for that you would need a jig that has that shape, then. What also helps is go abit thinner. In my experience the harder and more figures the wood is, the thinner it should be for bending (of course not too thin). The you should let them sit somewhat longer in the jig. Also if you still have some springback, after taking them off the bending mould, let the parts sit in the other jig for longer. The last rosewood I bent sat there for two month or so (unintentionally) but that helped for the wood to settle in, so to speak.
@@GabiM3112 thanks for the advice Gabi, always much appreciated, I’m really enjoying the challenge and on reflection, I think I should have started my first build with cheaper woods. So have now ordered some mahogany back and sides, hopefully this time I will be more successful
@@boogie11188I'm sorry to tell you, but mahogany doesn't steam bend, so you will have to use the hot iron for this. In some of my other videos I explain what woods are steam bendable. Good luck with your next attempt.
Amazing work again Gabriele 🙏 How do I made a radius disc? Is this real needed or is there an alternative?
Hi there, Jerry,
well, maybe there is a mathematical way to calculate the curve in the radius and transfer it to a 2D template, so that the sides of the guitar have a curvy line from the beginning in your cutout templates. That doesn't leave any headroom for mistakes or adjustment, though, in case you need it, so I guess two radius dishes are your best bet. One for the top, one for the bottom.
For my first ones I made a jig for my router to run on that had the respective radiuses and then I twisted the disk step by step, routing a channel and then twisting it some more and thus transferred the radius to the dish. But you can also buy them ready to go. They're quite expensive but making one (or two for that matter) makes an awful lot of a mess.
Hi Gabi, fantastic work as always. Can you tell what make the circle cutting jig that you use with your Dremmel is please? thanks
It's the standard one for the Dremel. Just look for Dremel cricle cutting or sth. similar.
Thank you. The only one I've seen is the Stewmac one which is not cheap.

What woods, Ms Reti, and would they have significance to your mom?
Rain Tree.
Hello! Do you have Hungarian roots? Your name "Réti" is a traditionally hungarian name. And also the Gabriella. If so, then "Üdvözletem Magyarországról!" :)
