And now the real question... where do we go from here?
😂😂😂
Understand we'll go hand in hand but we walk alone in fear ... tell me
Heh heh 👍
🤭
🤭😉
Anya's outfit on skates is a callback to the original TV series, "Charlie's Angels". She's dressed like Farrah Fawcett in one of the episodes with her very original "flipped out hair", and I think she was in that outfit in the opening credits for one season. That's why it was so iconic in the 70's - definitely a fantasy of Joss Whedon's.
Not just Joss...Farrah was my first Celebrity Crush when I was a kid.😍
“What’s Xander’s white whale? Marriage?” I am DED 😂😂
Can't wait for the next two episodes, as they're definitely on my list of favorites!
I don't think that's the first time Willow did that to Tara. To have that flower there and she already knows what it does. She did that without hesitation. Plus, it would make sense if she had to do that repeatedly in convincing Tara to bring Buffy back from the dead.
Wow, not sure why, but that never occurred to me. Convincing Tara to bring Buffy back. But it definitely tracks. So dark.
The fact that she waits until they're about to go to sleep. That way even if the others see them have a small argument, the next day Tara seems fine so they think 'oh they talked about it and reconciled, it's cool'.
I also never thought about the way she convinced Tara to bring Buffy back. Willow could've treated the conversations with Tara like a perverse Groundhog Day scenario until she found the right argument to convince her.
Willow's power has grown disproportionately compared to her wisdom. To bring up a comparison to another series, essentially Willow is following Anakin (Star Wars)'s path. Too much power, not enough experience to understand the danger of that power.
Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time Willow turned to magic to fix her personal problems. Especially after Oz left she was more than willing to try spells to help her feel better, regardless of the consequences for other people. (Giving us Something Blue for example) She's just gotten better at it.
I like Xander's Eyepatch, It gives him character. He should stick with that look!
Man you blew my mind with that idea of the Halloween angle about Xander playing a role.
I always assumed it was a mix of thinking they’re (or mainly Xander is) too young to be getting married. I think the gang also likes both of them but didn’t really see Xander settling down at all. The Scoobies are welcoming but they’re also like a little family, so I think they’re just protective of Xander and want him to be absolutely certain with his decision.
Xander like 20/21 I would not say he's "to young" people all throughout history married much younger than that. People are just immature now and want to play like their young teenagers till their 30s it's so weird.
@lance9249 yeah but think of how many people throughout the decades are in unhappy marriages or divorced... it's not recent phenomenon. 20ish is too young imo.
@@lynnevetter yup, i agree with your response to lance. divorce rates are like over 50%, so it’s clearly not a decision to be made lightly, and the gang knows xander is a bit immature and coming from an unstable household. i feel like their concern made a lot of sense.
I love this Spike but sometimes I miss “School Hard” Spike! You know? I miss Drusilla Spike!
“Can we fight now?” I LOVE this vamp lol
I feel really bad for the old guy. He seemed really nice.
I think he seemed really creepy, despite not being a literal monster. He gives me"Goosebumps"(the show)kind of vibes.
@@Nicamon It's Halloween he was in the spooky mood.
I think he was still a creep. Lol
He was eccentric but good-hearted. He had no ill intent but was just about to cut up and pass out Rice Krispie squares. The writers were just misleading us as they often do.
@@dayceem Or maybe he was really a"monster"of some sort and he just didn't get the chance to do whatever he had planned because he stumbled upon monsters that were worse than him.
Really good reaction Nick on the fleeting moment when Dawn is going to let the vamp bite her and how it all breaks down.
One more week, one more week, suuuuuuper exciting!!!!!
I know, we can’t wait, but have to….
Literally what i was thinking every time i saw something set up!!
9:29 The creepy old dude was a great red herring. Also, I smoked a bowl before this, and now I really want some of those Rice Krispie squares. 😋
Giles is Buffy and Dawn's true father figure ❤ I do wish he and Joyce had got together in the series!
Well, they kind of did...
One the hood of a police car!?
TWICE!?!
@@SilentBob731Well, yeah 😂😂 Obviously meant without the influence of band candy!
Anyone else foaming at the mouth for the next two episodes?
Every time I see this episode all I'm thinking about is how much I want that lace cami Buffy is wearing and I've never been able to find it.
You're probably already through the next episode, but in case you aren't, I won't present any spoilers. But S6/E7 is one that all of us like to watch reactors reacting to. Thanks, Nick.
That last observation really got my wheels turning! That's so interesting, about costumes. How Anya is dressed as an "angel" (even if it's a Charlie's Angel, ha), which might represent a "perfection" he was seeing in that moment before he made the announcement? Disregarding her everyday flaws? And I always thought Buffy's immediate "Giles, we have to do something" about said announcement was a little too dramatic, given how accepted by the group Xandya has been over the years...but maybe they think more about the differences those two have than I realized; hence, Giles throwing all the "real life" stuff at Xander on the stairs, to test his resolve.
Might be completely unrelated, but I love that Xander was a pirate here where, 2 Halloween's ago, he beat up his high school bully who was dressed as one.
He really works that eye patch 😶
@@reneeg9406 sigh
Anya’s costume is from the show Charlie’s Angels which also had 2 movies with Cameron Diaz, drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu
I'm sorry for Dawn but tbh what else could be her first kiss?
She's like big sis it had to be a vampire
I've not seen any other reactor speculate about the significance (if any) of Xander and Anya's announcement happening at Halloween. Interesting take... You will have to see how things unfold to learn whether you are on to something or not!
The fight scene with the car is one of my all time favorite Buffy/vamp fights.
Willow continues to use magic to fix things, as always, but now she's escalating the usage to make things easier for herself and disregarding the power she's wielding. Tara knows what she's talking about.
So excited for the rest of season 6. Keep them coming Nick! ❤
I really like the link you drew between Halloween and the engagement announcement. I'd never thought of that before.
A great pallette cleanser of silliness 😊 enjoy it 😊
Ok, part of it is silly..forgot about the Willow stuff this episode
3:07 You didn't quite get the idea. The thing that he would like to ask her out that's not news. The point is that he said about patrolling but she thought he meant sex and instead of telling him to f**k off as usual she just started panicking and staring at him. That's a hint.
The next 2 episodes are the best of the entire series. I cant fn wait until you get there. Season 6 is so fn dark compaeed to the ones leading up to it. 6 and 7 are my favorite seasons
Well......... it's next.........
About that ambiguous moment where it looks like Dawn is about to let the vamp bite her. I think she is really touched by his words and for a moment actually feels “seen“ by someone. Perhaps a feeling she is lacking with others in her life.
Uncle Giles, not to be confused with Uncle Buck.
Two very different animals 😂😂
I think Dawn is really troubled. Finding out you're "fake" and don't belong and have both primary caregivers die and "abandon" you. And here is a sweet guy promising to turn her and potentially be with her forever, giving her a place to belong and be wanted. It's tempting for her
Ahh so excited for the next episode!!! 😁
I feel like part of the tension at the party is because Xander is clearly uncomfortable with all the talk of the future (babies, houses, etc) and partly because everyone thinks Willow is using too much magic. Her and Giles have already argued about it and now her and Tara have argued about it.
Really enjoy these reactions thanks!
Can't wait for the next episode reaction 👏👏😍
Love Next Episode!
The wait for the next episode is going to kill me.
I've been waiting forever for this episode. Because I know which one is coming next. 😏🎶🎵
Cant wait till next week. hurry hurry hurry!
Love the set up behind you. Maybe next time turn it into a vampire lair. Candles behind you
Ahhh! Can't wait for the next episode!
Next episode is my favorite of the show. Enjoy!
Willow lost control of magic in an earlier Halloween episode, the guiding spell in the frat house where the Fear Demon was influencing things.
Willow is indeed arrogant with regard to her ability to use magic. Part of it is she's a little self-centered, seeing things from the viewpoint of how they affect her. She's been that way for a while.
I think you're confused. This didn't happen.
******SPOILER******
@@startingQB thanks, I misremembered the sequence of episodes. Edited that out.
Another solid reaction and thoughts on the episode. Many moving parts and time will play out to address some, answer a few, and of course bring in more. It’s easy to forget but Buffy is depressed. A very deep depression. This may be the best overall season of acting by SMG. You picked up on the body and facial expressions of Buffy. Like Halloween, she is wearing a mask but it is all of the time except when she is alone or with Spike. She looks like Buffy from the past but she changes little motions to look like someone covering an injury or labors ever so slightly. Then when she is not on stage she allows the sorrow to slightly peek through. It’s a tour de force in acting. It’s like she makes the slightest adjustment to make the machine not work at 100%. No matter how hard she tries she can not totally mask her depression. That’s one of the points. No matter how hard anyone tries to hide themselves, they can never transform totally. You can still see the person behind the mask if you look and that’s what is another sad part of Buffy’s storyline. None of her bc friends can see the pain nor are they aware there is a problem. The Scoobys have moved on from Buffy yet they can’t move on from themselves and what they think is a big deal. Willow has no problem living rent free, Xander shows no concern( even if he does not know about heaven, where’s the concern for her being tormented in Hell) and even Giles has retreated to being hands off and being a Watcher. Giles is seeing Buffy not only struggle but be a surrogate Mother. We see the Scoobys retreating to the comfort of the past but the past is no more. Xander has no real comprehension of a mature marriage, Anya is not just clueless but wants her way always, and Willow is on a journey that has been unfolding slowly before us for 116 episodes. This is a great time to ponder Restless. Giles, Willow, and Xander saw themselves as they are and have not done anything to change. Buffy, The Slayer, has prophetic dreams and she understands what is to come , how to react, and what is needed. She saved her friends, broke up with Riley, and welcomed Dawn while she said goodbye to Joyce. Now she is understanding why the First Slayer told her she is alone.
Keep up the great reactions and buckle up for an outstanding group of episodes .
I agree except the Giles part.
On one hand she is obviously struggling and needs help, but she's not even asking Giles to help with Dawn, she's obligating him by getting up and leaving.
The worse was when she left to see Angel without even saying 'Giles, please watch Dawn while I'm gone'. In this ep. she could've said 'she doesn't see me as a parent, please back me up while I talk to her'.
On the other hand we can see that Giles is very worried about Buffy depending on him, but he hasn't said anything and she is not a mind reader (anymore). At some point he should be clear: 'You need to act like a parent to Dawn otherwise she will never see you as her guardian.'
@@riel4553 Giles and his interaction with Buffy since both of their returns has puzzled me since the start. The byplay and interactions shown is not the relationship they had the previous 5 years. I am sure the reality of the shooting schedule and time they had for filming had a major impact on the storyline.I think back to the concern Giles had for Buffy in Season 3 after her return to Sunnydale after killing Angel. He prodded Buffy to tell him what exactly happened in the final fight with Angel so he could help her with the pain . How many times did Giles be her emotional guide and give meaningful answers to the obvious problems Buffy was experiencing. But the Giles that reached out to help the girl he cares for is not there after she returns from spending 147 days in hell? No research, no rituals, no stories on how others reacted or healed after spending time in torment…. the Giles that wanted to get ice cream for Buffy on Prom night is not here. Friends say he helped monetarily but it was Buffy that got him over 2 years of back pay and reinstatement with the Council, while he still had the Magic Box. Giles is not hurting financially but the emotional rock is not there for Buffy. But for me it’s minor compared to The Scoobys .
Love your buffy reaction, would love to see you react to the original charmed (1998) too.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Friends episode!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
I got a feeling...it could be bunnies
I think it’s also easy to forget that Anya and Xander are around 21 years old at this point so I’m sure the rest of them are probably thinking they’re too young to take this step.
Maybe. They've collectively almost died about a hundred times though. Life's short.
One more episode and he reaches my favourite. 😁😁😁
I thought angel reactions were free?
Willow is dreadful
I dread what’s coming 😢. Great reaction as usual
So many Buffy fans overlook what Willow did to Tara here she took away her freewill and choice by removing her memory its truly disgusting, but she gets a pass because she's not Xander.
I'm pretty sure everyone thinks that was a terrible thing to do, and what on earth does it have to do with Xander?
Nobody's overlooking Willow's actions or giving her a pass in this episode. You're just jumbling around plot points and fan reactions. Might as well claim that fans should still hate Giles for taking away Buffy's powers at one point despite the fact that he has owned up to his mistake and been forgiven by Buffy.
Where are your Angel episodes?
He has posted that they are on his Patreon I think.
Not enough interest (views) on YT to use so much energy in putting them on YT (editing etc.) I believe. Which is fair enough.
Ohh and they are free. You can find the post on his channel. It was posted 3 weeks ago 🙂
I'll check it out. I am just one of the few that like to watch it on YT because patreon is some times charges to watch a channel.
Willow, not cool wiping Tara's memory. Not cool at all. Shame. Any I never want to see Dawn kiss a guy again.
1 episode every 2 weeks is still way too slow. It's gonna take 9 months just to finish this season, and 11 months to finish Season 7
No one's keeping you from watching other episodes.
Do what I do - watch so many Buffy reactors you can't keep up with them all...
@@ernesthakey3396 And there always are new ones.😊
@@ulrichs3061 indeed, it's a reactor-rich environment! Not to mention the same folks watching Angel and often Firefly...
