We own two fords in the family. Both under warranty, gets serviced at ford. Cheap to maintain. Fun to drive. Friends think my Figo interior is premium than a Swift. 😂
Being a owner of Figo 2019 and Ecosports 2015 both diesel. I can vouch for the service quality they have kept after the operation was shut down. The bills are the same the consumables cost are the same. Affordable and quality are mainly the reason I wouldn't sell both the cars unless I need to do it. If Ford come back I don't think the there will resistance from the existing customer but winning over new customer will be a challenge. And at the premium segment fan boys won't bring sales. Waiting to see their strategy and market reaction.
If they don’t want to loose to Fortuner again, they need to make sure they get the pricing right. In India if your pricing is off you won’t succeed. Take Jimny as an example. Their pricing was just way off. But if they are able to match the fortuner price or even better undercut a little bit, they will have a good run with endeavour. Toyota has had a long run of being complacent with and taken for granted Indian consumers. It needs to end.
I have bought Ford endeavour sport 2021 second hand before these rumors I am a endeavour fanboy. Have shelled out a lot to buy this one and i really hope ford comes back it will only increase the value of old endeavours coz new once will be expensive 😜
Since ford is known for SUVs worldover, why cant Ford come back with a full SUV profile starting from Ecosport range upto Endeavour? Ofcourse Mustang remains the import option.
I own a 2016 Ecosport Petrol it met with a major Accident I treated it so well with all Genuine parts spent almost 2 lacs only on repairs still My Love for Ecosport remains the same as the day I bought it and I should br Greatful for Ecosport because of its built quality the driver is Safe in that bad accident ❤ I really wish Ford come back to India and Bring new version of Eco then i can buy a new one
I have 2017 ecosport P. Faced no problem with service even in tier 2 towns. The periodic maintenance is also cheap ..as low as 4 to 5k . Resale value is more even today compared to s cross 😊

I know ppl coming or calling service managers and enquiring abt them... one even came with cash in hand to book Endeavor in advance. Ecosport segment (10-20 lacs) can't be ignored...at the end of the day u need numbers. They r lots of hard core fans waiting eagerly.

Now it is not practical to enter the market again without anything significantly changing. This can change only if Govt policies change or something significant happens in India/
If Ford is to come back to india, it would make absolute sense to take the CKD route, and launch the Endeavour and Ranger in India.... Other than that, as halo models they should launch the Mustang and Mustang Mach E... Furthermore, there could be two more products that make sense in India, the Maverick Pick-up and the BRONCO SPORT... Yes definitely want them to come back and without being practical, the cars I want them to bring here are mustang, endeavour, bronco and raptor 150 but seeing the Indian market for pickups it's a hard sell. So the 3 cars from a practical and feasible point of view are endeavour, puma and next gen ecosport. I think puma will become a relatively popular product because of its hatchback size and love of Indians towards that category is solid

I will like to see Ford Endeavour, Ford Ecosport and Bronco on Indian roads One of the best part of my Ford was Ford's B&O music system which is very premium but I never seen Ford bragging about it.
Now that the Indian govt has reduced the import duty on EVs from 100% to 15%, Ford should definitely plan an EV manufacturing unit, and in that way they can bring in the Mustang Mach E to India at a price even lesser than 50 lacs. And at this price Mach E will alone change Ford's fortunes in India.
I believe ford will check the waters with endeavour, then mostly get it down to ckd , if that works they will think of getting ev hear, for the new tax break to make sense they need to invest 4000cr or more so they will not bring ev as import as that will price it above the competition as mostly Tesla will enter India before this 24 financial year ends
My family owns a 2016 Figo and it runs like butter. I think Ford’s lineup should be Puma to compete against the likes of Fronx, Venue. The Kuga or something of that sort to put up against the Creta and Elevate. The Endeavour which will be the flagship lineup for India and the Ranger. Mustang should also make a comeback and maybe through CBU unit. My personal pick would be the Focus ST. It’s the perfect car.
Ford needs to focus on new gen ecosport and creta rival for india initially and if they find some success go for a punch rival and then a hector rival.
My experiance with Ford have not been great and there are many Ford horor stories available to read on net. I still have that lemon Ford Figo car. Ford never cared about reliability and nothing did for those unfortunate lemon car owners. Though I love to drive Ford cars and still missing those excellent cars. Re entry of Ford will not be easy. All west and American car companies are facing stiff competetion from Indian, Korean and Chinees brands and loosing their grounds to rivals. World is shifting to EVs where chinese brands are wiping out Texla. I think Ford can not afford to ignore the huge car market of India when Europe and US economic condition is detoriating and they have no or insignificant presence in China and east.
Petrol powered especially with the 10 year limit on diesel cars. Fords like endeavor don’t even make a creak in 10 Years, mine is 8 years old and I have fomo thinking of selling or scraping it. I also love the 3.2L engine it’s just a breeze on highways.
I owned a used Ikon long ago 15+ years and loved the car a lot purely fun to drive. My view on its plant at Chennai shud go to Mahindra to enhance its capacity and with demand in place by Indian market So, endeavour or something else could be just a CBU route my view For some reasons, India market haven’t accepted the US OEs models with whole hearts I suppose 😮😅
As a ford owner I can confirm, right now they are better than Toyota when it comes to Service experiance. Ford Ecosport, absolutely No Nonsense product.

Here in the Philippines, the Ford Everest (Endeavour there) is priced very competitvely with Fortuner. I love my newgen Everest!

Ford should focus on Fuel Economy and Hybrids and PHEV in the Lower Price Segment. The Built quality for ford is way above Suzuki.
