Awesome car. Great fit finish, great diesel engine and durability.

Ford used to give Ecosport with solid 5 star ⭐ rated with 6 air bags, even before TATA made their marketing on build quality. The problem is Ford did not market their product well, but Tata did extremely well that even Maruti is updating their cars with improved build quality.
With TATA overtaking everyone else and Maruti also catching up, Ford might not make a successful comeback. People would still have trust issues.
If people had that issues the price of their existing preowned cars would have been crashed till now after 3 years of ford leaving india. But no their value is not going down in preowned market. So I don't think people have trust issues. Actually what happened in these 3 years is that people now know the value of ford better than before. The problem was lack of options in indian markets in mid suv segment and hatchback segments. If ford someohow manage to tackle that segment. Surely ford will explode it's sales in india @@venkata224

Awesome analysis.
I think Ford might be thinking India as an experimental EV market where the consumer is also open to ideas and it can be a great learning for Ford, for their international models.
Ford F150 lighting 90+ EVs pre-booking got cancelled as the product was not value for money. Unlike USE, the Indian zero tail pipe emission ban is much longer than 2035, they can continue their profitable ICE business that they can't do in the USA, Europe or China.
@@krishnachandramenon8 ICE cars are still outselling EVs in EU and US.
India needs global product customised Indian way. I20 , Creta , all were initially meant for international market produced in India . But they gave it a try in India and rest is history.
Endeavour EV will be great.
If they are planning with EV..then its finish again.. Permanently

Comfort and safety are the key aspects of Ford , I seen Ford expedition 2023 model - really it’s great and no comparison. Bringing new gen Ford Ecosport / Endeavor / Explorer to India will definitely give tough competition to Mini SUV and SUV’s for major selling automotive groups.
Good to hear Ford coming back to TN, besides new gen cars it helps in creating more job opportunities.

Fortuner won't die as such, but competition is always welcome
Jab Ford itna saal tha tabh kya ukhad liya tha,?😂
Fortuner will not die anytime. It has a strong following even though it is overpriced as hell. The endeavor though is more feature packed and is worth the cash you pay. Regarding the longevity of the cars and engines, it all depends on how the owner keeps it. There are abused fortuners that are ruined and the same goes for other brands.
Thing with Ford was that their diesel engines were fantastic with decent power and superb mileage. The problem was with their petrol engines. Compared with the competition the mileage which one got from Ford's petrol engine was horrible. If they are able to fix that , they will do extremely well
I'm having Aspire petrol 2020 and I got the mileage of 18-19 on the highway at 70-80 speed so I don't think that's the issue but yes in high traffic it reduces to 8-9 KMPL. It's engine is also more powerful compared to Dzire or aura and it's a little heavy too, so it's fair enough I think
Ford's dragon series petrol was most powerful. Be it 1.2 or 1.5 . Powerful engine bhi chahiye or mileage bhi chahiye.aise kaise chalega
The solution to that problem is the 7.3l Godzilla engine.
Coz they did not make 0 rating walking coffins like Maruti using tin shade
One of the reason is weight
Ford also need to launch the new mustang because in used car market the price is soo much than the real price.
I have driven old gen Figo for 5 years & am driving Ecosport since Oct 2020. Hoping that they do make a comeback soon with cars like Endeavour & Ecosport with trending features in the Indian market. They should also think of launching Territory in the Indian market.
Ford Freestyle is still completely ignored. It is best car that can compete with baleno and i20 easily.

Imagine made in india Ford Mustang means it will sell for under 40 lakhs 😮
Then what about baba elon musk.
@UnitedNations-gk4rl957 you typed 2.3 lacs lmao
@UnitedNations-gk4rl957 American manufacturing is cheap because they sell more cars than Indians. If they manufacture in India they manufacturing cost will be way higher than America and after that they have to pay taxes which will easily take the cost over 50 lakhs and they will sell less than 1000 units per yr making the operation a disaster.

Very good analysis.. Your diction is very good and promptly covered all the items in a very short time..
Hell yes. I am very excited for the Ford endeavor and raptor even though i dont even have the money to hot wheel cars !
Alongwith cars mentioned by you for Ford comeback, they must consider a segment of 4.3m length , 5 seater and RWD setup, with muscular looks, engines capable of 150 BHP and 280 NM torque. A 4x4 with low transfer case must be an option. Believe me it will be a huge success.
They should definitely launch Territory in India, it's a very good alternative for Creta/Seltos, feature loaded and mini Everest/Endeavor
As an owner of Ecosport, I am a great fan of Ford and I want Ford back. I love the handling and the driving quality so much that my next car also would be Ecosport(If Ford ecosport is launched)
I'm very happy that Ford is coming back. In fact, I would want many other car brands make a comeback as well. This is because of the fact that our Indian brands are steadily making good cars and performing well in sales also. For example TATA, it was only 5-6 years back that TATA was nowhere near today in it's car sales, it was only in the Trucks and Buses.
This is all well, BUT, this will slowly be gone as they (Indian Brands) acquire more market share. Why? Because then there will be no competition and that is bad for any industry to thrive.
There must be a constant competition among INDIAN and International brands so that they both force each other to make better cars. Otherwise, once Indian brands acquire more than 50% market share, there will be a unanimous shift towards Monopoly.
For Indian brands to acquire more than 50% market share is going to be a huuuggeee task in itself considering the Duopoly kind of situation with Maruti n Hyundai. If you add in Kia, it becomes even more apparent
@@prasunshome7200 Kia is nowhere compared to TATA motors in terms of sales. Kia is smaller than TATA motors in terms of market capitalisation.
@@protograde2723 You have taken it in a literal sense whereas I meant it figuratively considering both Hyundai n Kia are related to each other...
@@prasunshome7200 I see
@@prasunshome7200 Maruti has been successful because they understood INDIAN customer which is very sensitive to price, but this is changing with the awareness of new car buyers towards safety and NCAP ratings and all.
So, If Maruti fails to change it's image of producing unsafe cars, it will loose considerable market share very soon. Sooner or later, Maruti will have to produce safer cars and when that happens, price will also go up.
Very well analysed. 👍
I do wish that Ford comes up with products other than Endeavor.
Had been to the service center recently and as per staff, Ford is planning to bring Endeavour 3.2 and 2.0, EcoSport Pertrol varient only and 2 EV varients, 1 hatchback and 1 SUV segment. Not sure how true this will turn out to be. But looking forward to their return!

Run the Indian market the INDIAN way, notthe american way. Japanese and Koreans understood long back that Indian market is unique and strategies that worked in other countries may not work here. Hope they succeed. Ford has its flaws, but make better cars than a lot of other brands.
Yes. Tin cans loaded with features and very low maintainence is the way to go for India. That's the Indian way.
Japanese and Koreans will compromise quality to keep price low after so many taxes because their market share is big in India and it affects them.
Ford will never compromise quality as their biggest market is USA. It’s their home brand and it’s well supported financially by their government and tax rules. They chose to leave India than lower their quality.
You do realize the compromises they make for Indian markets over the other? That wouldn't make Ford what it is known for

Ford should bring back the new generation Figo. The batback market is very unattractive since Figo and Polo left. We have i20 N and Altroz Racer would be coming soon, but I doubt they'd be able to compete with Ford, especially on the Diesel end.

Is there any chance or clue they will launch BRONCO in India ?
Puma would sell like crazy🎉 actually ford didn't make a proper product selection at proper time
They will not do it this time too. They will again run back.
I believe that they just need 3 solid products to have good sale figures, somewhat like what Kia did. A sub 4m & 4.3m crossovers and a full size 4.6m SUV.
I am very happy to listen Ford is back. Because Ford is different from others.
If they get the Focus and all its variants, that itself should get them a good market share among the general public + affluent sector
Ford needs 1 to 2 cars in the 10-20 lakh bracket (compact SUV & sedans) other than Endeavour otherwise they may have to go back again. They need one car which has demand like Innova Hycross or Creta. Indian consumer respects you if you make them wait.
Its a good news, bringing back Ecosport with required upgradation and slightly changed look is a must for Ford. And another brand i want badly to entre the Indian market is Mazda. They have amazing cars in markets like Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia. If they bring the CX 5 to india i think it will sell really well.
Cx-90 can compete with cars such as Innova, compass and kodiaq. Also, imagine an MX5 in India!
i want a rear wheel drive car
@@EshK-jh9hw man, CX-90 can compete with BMW X7 and merc GLS in terms of luxury. It's too good a car for Mazda. And MX5 will be an instant hit in India especially at a price point less than 1 crore. Mazda has some amazing models which can do very well in India, perfect cars they have. I don't know why they are not taking the risk to enter India.
Actually mazda should have partnered with Toyota like how they have a partnership in markets abroad.like Hyundai and kia. But Toyota has chosen suzuki. So the opportunity for mazda to enter has long gone.
I think mazda has to partner with some Indian company to enter the Indian market
fantastic analysis. I used to have Endeavour earlier and I miss it. Phenomenal machine.
I am a car enthusiast and Here are some feedback/suggestion i want to share to ford team.
1. According to my observations, right now in the indian Car market.
Almost all the manufacturers have varients in petrol AMT or CVT but in diesel there is only manual transmission available (and this Gap is about 90% of the cars)
I think ford can fill this gap with providing options like Diesel AMT or CVT.
They also can provide all varients like Petrol, Diesel and EV for better diversification.
2. Secondly As per my observation in the indian car market, ford can play a right game of marketing in safety features like ADAS too attract customers towards them.
3. For cost cutting strategy they can provide practical features with PROPER TESTING (rather than gather too many features that confuse a beginning car buyer) that will add more value to their base varients and this also help to gain Trust of Car Buyers over ford.
4. I Learnt the consumer buying behaviour and found that there should be a hype and a delivery period for car to be deliver. Sorry if am sounding 😅 like that but from a brand prospective its just a suggestion

My second car was a 2021 October Ford Freestyle 1.2 Titanium
If Ford brings Puma to India then it looks like the third will be that woo 💯
I would suggest traditional endeavour with bs6 norms and a hybrid model
In my opinion, ford has really studied the market and most importantly their target customer's mindset and demographic behaviour well, hence they not only made good engineered products but kepyt up service and support levels vs pricing balance. This has helped preserve the love of people for them. This leaves them an opportunity to resurrect dead nameplates and gone legacies and the best place to do that is INDIA.
People with budget of fortuner & endevour will be the most happy 😅
VW and Skoda should offer features like 360degree camera, blind view camera, front parking sensors and level 2 ADAS, in their cars which cost more than 20lakhs.
I myself being a Polo owner, I am really interested in buying Virtus GT+ or Slavia DSG. But due to lack of these features, make driving in our city traffic and tight parking situations really difficult. So, I may end up buying a Seltos GT line 1.5 turbo DCT.
And Taigun and Kushaq being in the segment of cars like Seltos, Creta, Grand Vitara, Elevate, Astor, etc, but looks very similar to Nexon, Breeza, Sonet, Venue, etc in terms of dimensions. So, for someone who is spending around 22.5 lakhs for the top end variants, wouldn't get the road presence of this hefty price tag. Really VW and Skoda needs to understand the Indian market like KIA and Hyundai.
3 theory mujhe bahut acha laga, it is a researched topic. Awesome bro
One another thing is Ford has kept most of it's dealers still active and operational at prime locations , also they still provide very good service to existing owners.
Interesting to see what they will do with the Chennai plant, if Ford is only looking for the CBU route with their cars.
And yes, re-launching their product line with the 4M+ car [Creta rival] will be a perfect start.
