I lost my Son Julien back in 2007 at 13 and if I saw a child that looked like him I would have freaked out SO badly... They just can't capture that raw emotion in movies, truly a parents worst nightmare... In a way, I am glad they can't, it's the definition of hell on earth and it is a life sentence - especially when it is your only child as was the case with me...

This movie is based on actual cases, sort of; but not cloning exactly. Various doctors have secretly used their own sperm at fertility clinics for couples who were unable to achieve pregnancy. An internet search for "doctor fertilized women with own sperm" yields at least three such doctors, and there are probably others. In each case, the doctor was supposed to artificially fertilize each woman's eggs with sperm from her husband or sperm donor. HOWEVER, it turned out that the doctor was secretly using his own sperm to fertilize women who went to his clinic for help. Eventually somebody decided to do some genetic testing, which is how these doctors were apprehended. I guess this means that a doctor at a fertility clinic should not donate sperm to a sperm bank, on the unlikely chance that his own donated sperm is randomly chosen to fertilize one of his patients.

This movie is based on actual cases, sort of; but not cloning exactly. Various doctors have secretly used their own sperm at fertility clinics for couples who were unable to achieve pregnancy. An internet search for "doctor fertilized women with own sperm" yields at least three such doctors, and there are probably others. In each case, the doctor was supposed to artificially fertilize each woman's eggs with sperm from her husband or sperm donor. HOWEVER, it turned out that the doctor was secretly using his own sperm to fertilize women who went to his clinic for help. Eventually somebody decided to do some genetic testing, which is how these doctors were apprehended. I guess this means that a doctor at a fertility clinic should not donate sperm to a sperm bank, on the unlikely chance that his own donated sperm is randomly chosen to fertilize one of his patients.

But.......... the clone does not contain a soul and certainly not the soul of the original donor. It operates on a very basic level of a human body but the vital ingredient the spirit within is absent because the clone is only a copy of the body and not of the original human being created by god.
