Fire Emblem Character Spotlight; Shanna
Shanna (シャニー Shanī, Thany in the Japanese version) is a playable character from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. She is a Pegasus Knight from Ilia and the younger sister of Juno and Thea. While her sisters are full-fledged Pegasus Knights, she is still in training. She joined Dieck's mercenary crew as part of her training. She used to address Dieck as "Chief", but he did not like that. She thinks that Lot has a crush on her, although he only cares about her as a little sister. Because of this, she calls him "Big Brother". She is also kinder to Lot than she is to Wade because she fights with the latter in their supports conversations.
She makes a brief cameo appearance in chapters 16 and 17 of the Hasha no Tsurugi manga.

There are no magic Yumis in Fates. The only magic bow type weapon in Fates is the Shining Bow.

When FE Heroes launched and when I first saw Shanna and Catria I thought they are twins or something like that.
I think their sprites helped a bit...
In Heroes they have near identical stats with Shanna being a bit better with 1 more spd vs Catria's one more atk.

Matthew Coyle Catria and Shanna also have reversed defenses. Idk if its exactly reversed but Shanna has higher res while Catria has higher def. im using both with Slaying Lance+ and Fury but I gave Catria Lancebreaker and Shanna kept Desperation.

Shanna is my favorite GBA Pegasus Knight who often gets the royal treatment from me. The stat-boosters tend to go to her out of favoritism. I just love her peppy personality, double points for her voiced lines in Heroes.
Other than that, I'm also running her in FEH as a part of my Fliers team. She'll become my first +10 project soon...

I think Thea/Tate actually has base stats on par with Shanna (at least, on non-hard mode runs), and it’s just that she’s like 6 levels higher than Shanna compared to Shanna’s base Stats at level 1.

Flying Rescue is amazing, not to mention her Resistance is pretty nice to have against those early mages (she can also take care of all your shopping/conversing with villagers and be back in time to steal kills for XP)
The sacae route in the hard mode is insane because there are swordmasters who crit every time literally
so i always train shanna to take the ilia route

Would it be considered bad stragety to abandon Shanna as a unit and focus on Tate if she gets strength screwed? I mean, what level should you just say "Screw it, you strength is too low!" It could happen a lot, since a base strength of 4 and a strength growth rate of 30% is pretty shaky.

I'd say if she doesn't hit 10 strength before promoting, it's safe to say she's strength-screwed (that's assuming you don't promote until level 20)
Clarine has the same problem (a magic growth of 30%, and a starting magic stat of 2), but even if she gets magic-screwed, she's very likely to still be able to dodge nigh everything.

30% strength growth pegusus knight are blacklisted on my playthroughs. I got Shanna to level 20 pegusus knight and she had 6 strength. I've never had a 30% strength pegusus that had gained more than 3 points of strength in her first 20 levels

Agreed, most interesting lord deserves a spotlight soon. Probably once she's released in Heroes would be a good time. Also due to being a controversial character, it could generate a lot of views to his channel.

My only concern is that Mangs might do a poor job due to not liking her character when he first played RD. But I don't think that's much of an issue because it was mostly Ray telling Mangs how bad she is and Mangs being a yesman. I remember Ghast criticizing Ike and Mangs agreeing but now we got a more full perspective on what Mangs thinks of Ike as a character even though in his LPs, he does have a tendency to make fun of every single lord which makes it seem like he dislikes them. Though it is in Mangs' nature to make fun of characters so I don't take it too seriously.

Unit wise? Yes. Character wise? DEFFINITELY NOT.
Baby Est and give her a Sol lance. She instantly becomes best unit...in postgame.
Est in is only good in Gaiden and SoV. In every other game she is in aside from DLC in Awakening she is garbo. But her supports with Abel are fucking amazing in FE12. So using her is kinda worth it in that regard.
