    A tense title race between Arsenal and Man City again, especially with the possibility of a points deduction with the ffp case
    Liverpool having their first year without Klopp, Chelsea being the wild card and United hoping to break into the top 4 and Spurs being their usual unpredictable selves

      @@JaysonBailey Football is a team sport and therefore if your defence is all over the place due to injuries you can’t build up from the back or play a high line meaning you can’t press as a team properly. Last season there were massive gaps due to playing 4th/5th choice defenders and midfielders in defence who lacked pace. It’s highly likely United won’t have anywhere near as many injuries this coming season and will improve massively. They’ve looked good in pre season and the community shield so I back them for top 4. You may disagree but I think you’ll be surprised.

    • @MrSchwabentier

    As a Chelsea fan, I’m more than happy to accept criticism on how the club is run in certain aspects. For example, the Gallagher situation has been handled terribly. However, the lack of research on contracts is pretty annoying. They’re signed on long deals for amortisation purposes. Also, bonuses are implemented in the contracts based on performances. Palmer was already on a long contract but received a pay increase and signed an additional 2 years. They’ve introduced this format to remove the previous regime of paying players on incredibly high wages. I.e., Lukaku on 325k a week

    Just so you fellows know that in american football some players have in their contract a non-trade clause where the player can refuse a trade to team he does not want to play for. they also have a list of teams that they would like to be traded or transfer to. Not a lot of players have this but the ones that do can control where they go. By the way great show my top 4: Liverpool, Arsenal, Mancity, Newcastle bottom 3: Notts Forest, Southampton, Everton darkhorse: Brentford Also Wrexham will get automatic promotion!!!

    You can only spread transfer fees across 5 years now, the rule Chelsea previously exploited has been banned now. So, the 9 year contract isn’t related to spreading the transfer fee.

    The players feelings bit was a bit over the top, they are paid ridiculously well I think they can take a bit of stress that they can't train with their mates while business is being done, the american transfer comparison is also fairly wide of the mark a lot of those players have built in no trade clauses etc and ways around it

    What I don’t understand about the length of the Chelsea contracts is why no other club is doing it? Like you say, Newcastle have the richest owners and they aren’t doing the same. I don’t believe that Chelsea are the only club to find this loophole. The whole ownership at Stamford Bridge seems chaotic

    22:18 This is why you people just need to stop talking about Chelsea. You have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. The players Chelsea are signing are on very low wages. The average salary at Chelsea is currently £60k/week. So no Mark, we won’t be like United because we don’t dish out £250k/week to Harry Maguire

      Seriously.

    • @dddgtsd
      @dddgtsd 3 месяца назад +6

      I mean it's easy to bring the average down when you make a squad of like 45 players - the average wage is close to 80/90k and the overall wage which is more important is 3.5m second highest in the league when the team is by no means the second best in the league - I don't think the wage bill is Chelsea's biggest concern but you can skew things a bit depending on your bias. Man Utd are a joke when it comes to wages though, agree with you on that.

    • @dddgtsd
      @dddgtsd 3 месяца назад

      I don' think there is any doubt the players you're signing are talented and not on huge wages, yes the fees are quite high for what are essentially development projects but that's the philosophy the club is going for. My only worry is how the players are developed and managed - hard to develop young players when the first team is a bit all over the place and management changes quite frequently. If they get put out on good loan moves or get given decent game time then they could definitely develop them into top players, you have to think of say 10 wonderkid signings, 2 or 3 should turn out as first teamers and the others can make a bit of money perhaps. It's risky when you don't have the basics in place though is my only concern but Chelsea have always had a similar policy just maybe a bit more low key and focused around the under19s/21s.
