Makes me feel really good about my Model 2. I bought it at auction a year or so ago for $60. It's smooth & tight, but only has a few pins. But it's easy enough to turn whatever I need on the lathe. Honestly not much need for it, but figured I couldn't go wrong since it was dirt cheap.
If the nose and the center die aren't square to each other, the end of the part will begin to lift. If you do only one bend on a part, it may not be a problem. However if doing multiple close tolerance bends on one part, you then get a part that isn't flat. At that point you'll have to try shimming the part while bending to keep it flat. A worn nose or a worn center hole where the center pin goes may also cause this.

Wow, that's the best deal ever. Congrats on your awesome find.
What is the implication of a bender having some play?

Looks worth it. I got a diacro 4 recently.. I'd love to see you triangle 📐 bender
Thanks for the idea, I need some right triangle shelf brackets.
And it will include a radius block build.
