I always found it extremely touching that Maitlands who were clearly wanting a child ended up getting a surrogate daughter in Lydia in the end helping her with her school work and being the loving parents she really needed.
My friend's mom was the top half of the woman in the waiting room. She said it was a great experience watching all the work that was done to create just one scene of a movie.
One thing I like is that when the Deetzses see the model town, there is not a MOMENT of their usual crassness or callousness... they all unanimously think it's beautiful and amazing, and the very next time we see it, the Deetzes have moved it from the attic down to the main floor and set it up on a tasteful and GORGEOUS special table just so that Mr. Maitland's work can be seen and appreciated as the amazing creation it is. Mrs. Deetz might be a self-absorbed diva artist, but she recog ized the work of another master artist and wanted it to be appreciated.
When Beetlejuice kicks that tree, it wasn’t supposed to fall over. He improved that line after it fell as a joke to give the set designer crap. Tim loved it obviously and kept it in the movie. Another sad fact: poor Otho died from a fall in his kitchen in 2010 :(
I think lots of modern audiences are surprised that Beetlejuice is more of a plot device to the main story of the Maitlands finding a surrogate daughter, and Lydia finding surrogate parents who really understand her. It can be underwhelming to some new viewers, so I’m really glad you guys enjoyed it so much!

Then she had to be rushed to a place to shower, change into her designer dress, and be rushed to get to Hollywood on the other side of the big hill to get to the Oscars. Do a reaction on Ryders next film, with a massive cult following. The unbelievably edgy dark-humored...HEATHERS.
It's Showtime......😊
You two are the most beautiful reactors on RUclips, hell you guys are the most beautiful, stunning girls in the whole world. I absolutely loved your reaction to this classic movie, you kept me smiling the whole time. ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊
just realized at 29:52 thats an Easter egg for Marshall University football players who died in that plane crash in 1970
"Let's DUNE this!"?
Brilliant!!
This is a great horror comedic supernatural movie that set so many trends that to this day are still around. I am pretty sure this was Winona Ryder's break out role in Hollywood. I am looking forward to seeing Bettlejuice Bettlejuice to continue the crazy adventure started back in 1988.
I can’t believe how naïve people actually are… the sequel is gonna suck, It’s completely unnecessary. It’s just another crappy sequel that’s gonna do a disservice to the original movie like most other sequels do
@@nsasupporter7557 Saying people are naive for wanting to see a sequel to a movie is sorry on so many levels. It is not naive it is a sign of a mind that is willingness to experience new thing. Not want to have a sequel to anything whether it be a book, game or movie just because you hold it predecessor on such a high self you don't have faith in that IP. This a sign of a closed mind unwilling to accept things do change.
@@ericswanson411 But that’s it right there though… It’s not a new thing! it’s more of the samething 😉
You’ve seen how bad other sequels are (I know you have) yet you still push for more of them that are risks of them being bad
"Let's Dune this!" Is my new favorite call to action
Enjoying the reaction 😄
Gotta say I love how you guys said this was delightful. Definitely a great way to say how this movie was. Awesome reaction loved it
@CinePals I just watched this amazing movie, I love Michael Keaton as an actor and I immediately having watched it with my mom tonight in preparation for the sequel opening night on Thursday at 6:15pm in Dolby Cinema at AMC, I must say, I was kicking myself for not watching this movie at any point in my previous 27 years of existence but, I’m glad I did as it easily is probably my second favorite Michael Keaton movie of all time right up there behind 1989’s Batman as a huge fan of the caped crusader growing up and I’m not a huge Tim Burton fan but, I have to say Batman and Beetlejuice are really my 2 favorites of his that I have seen.
My All Time Favorite Movie, Great Reactions Ladies ❤❤
19:26 Katherine O'Hara is wearing her husbands sweater from earlier, as a dress
Betelgeuse is actually a star in the Orion constellation.
Beetle juice was a creep but for a second he was concerned for Lydia.
SEQUEL "BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE!!" 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I love watching people react to the movies I grew up watching ❤
I love the Afterlife waiting room. The makeup is amazing and each character look is unique. After all people die for many reasons. I liked the movie Defeating Your Life starring Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep. It’s another humorous take on what happens to us when we die.
23:40 "those who commit sui....de" in the afterlife become civil servants."
Yes that's how this universe works! If you kill yourself, you curse youreslf to help others ^_^
it's so fitting.
"NICE FUCKIN MODEL!" I always die at that part 😂
0:31 Bugs in general can't die by falling because they are so light it's like slow motion for them so yeah if you just throw a bug outside it won't die so it's completely safe
I was totally in love with goth Winona when this came out (i was like 11 though)
I couldn't see the first film, until I finished School (in 2001 when I left school and finished exams) a treat and reward for the stress and pain of exams. I was 16. Now I will be 40 (in Mid December 2024)
2:35 "Why am I stressed out?" The music is tense and is making you tense.
Betelgeuse is the name of the second brightest star of the Orion constellation. And as you two said they changed the title to Beetlejuice so people would pronounce it correctly.
Delia is wearing a long, black glove as hair band. And when cooking she's wearing a top for a skirt!!!😎😎😎😎😎
Haha loved rewatching this with u guys 😅😅
