This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,528 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I noticed YT isn’t even recommending any of my videos or shorts. This is true even when they are getting clicked on and get views. For example, two shorts I recently posted they recommended for just the first hour (hour at most) and then stopped completely. One has about 1/3 of people that see it watching it and the other is over 50%. So it’s not click through rate, but for some reason YT just isn’t recommending me.
I gained 13.5K subs in 3 days.. 2 short videos went viral after posting them about 30-45 days ago. On a normal day, I gain about 1000 subs every 3 days. I recommend doing RUclips shorts to up your sub count real fast.
Good Point I'm monetized now so I am trying shorts to grow.
Looking at your views on your long form content I don’t think shorts is a good idea. I see no point in having 50,000 subscribers 500 views in weeks, I would rather prefer 500 subscribers with 50,0000 views.

As someone who just started with my gaming channel, this video was such an eye-opener and a treasure trove of wisdom.
My first video took me over 100 hours of work distributed between learning video editing, scripting, voice over, youtube research..etc The journey was super fun and I have lots more in the pipeline.

Working on it! Female firefighte paramedic at nasa Kennedy space center in Florida. I’m on the Astronaut Rescue Team, I get to see manned Launches ….I AM AS CLOSE AS WE CAN BE, so you can see my view only 3 miles from the rocket pad, when the vice president goes there, they fly in behind my station and I get to see amazing (secret) vehicles and meet people that I never even could dream of. I’m 1 of 12 medics there, 40 years old and want to talk about the challenges of the “I can’t” attitude because I had it and never thought I would earn the money I do, never thought I would have a house with central AC, never thought I would be smart or strong enough to even get through school. I grew up poor, 105 lbs when I graduated high school. I have tons of videos and pics from work. Unfortunately lots of experience with alcoholism in the family, experience with close family deaths, how to deal understand other peoples views on life and how these situations can affect you, how you live your life and how you want to live your life. Really good content. As a small content creator on RUclips, I know how hard it is to gain traction and attention from the beginning. Like many of you guys, I was tired of creating quality content almost every day and getting only a few hundred views on my best days. After that, I tried using some tools to ramp up my social presence, and honestly I don't regret it. Consistency, hard work (and a little bit of Famester) always pays off at the end.

I watch so many of these type of strategy videos and this is the first one I agree with. I started YT with a back log of 200 videos from TikTok and because I posted 3-5 a day gained 1k in a week and 40k in 6 weeks. I post pov comedy style videos and gear it toward trends. While it’s great for growth, it doesn’t pay well unless you get millions consistently.

@@AmaInsightz Oh yeah totally. I would rather be growing my channel at my own pace. Plus I feel like if someone got famous too quickly without knowing how to handle it, it could be potentially lead to disaster.
But that’s just what I think.
Now of course it’s always cool to have that one video that had put you on the map, but there’s always that risk = reward factor.

The niche thing is interesting; and of general applicability. I remember once seeing a video about someone who indexed books. She was really struggling. There are a lot of indexers out there. So someone suggested, as she liked cooking, she should change her entry in the relevant directories to say she only indexed cookbooks. She was worried that that would hit her even more as she was eliminating 99% of the potential work. Of course what actually happened was everyone who wrote a cookbook saw her entry and asked her to do the indexing, and that gave her more work than she could handle.

Hey man! I'm noticing something weird with your motion graphics. Looks like you're opting for a lower framerate, which is cool, but there's some sort of blurring effect. Like the posterization is happening in a different software, or maybe there's a discrepancy like using 15fps in a 24fps video (so there is a blurry interpolation between frames). I'm able to do 12 fps motion graphics in between my 24 fps footage (live action on 1's, animation on 2's, which is 24/2). and not get this odd motion blur effect. Maybe something worth looking into. It was a bit of a strain to watch your graphics.
as a professional motion designer, I'd high recommend taking out any motion blur for flat vector graphics. we rarely use motion blur in the industry unless it's to make graphics look good over live action footage that has a motion blur. Saying all this bc the video was really great and you're so close to having top tier graphics for a youtube channel. Answer in Progress is a good channel to look at for good mograph integrated into a yt channel.

I don’t really care how long it takes, as of writing this I’m still learning the ropes of basic editing as I finally managed to acquire Final Cut Pro (knowing a handful of basics now I don’t get how I managed to use iMovie for years) I only upload every other week, once I know how to do it faster I’ll switch over to a weekly schedule, and with the current schedule I’m happy to say I have content planed out and in the works that will last till New Year’s Eve. In the past month the growth of my channel has proven to be strong as before I was gaining 20-30~ a month whereas just recently I managed to pull 100 subscribers in a month, or 3-4 a day on average. It’s different for everyone but now that I have had my first spike I’m very excited to see where this will go
still learning here, do you write script aswell before posting your vids?

This is solid advice, I would like to say I would stop jumping around and hit a single topic...but I have so many interests to choose from I am struggling to find a real passion to WANT to cover a niche that I think I can do justice
100% get that. I struggled with that same thing for 2 years until I realized it wasn’t taking me anywhere. I think you have to ask yourself if you want to make videos for fun or do you really want to grow a big RUclips channel.

Great video I’m surprised you don’t have over 100k subs. I was really intrigued by your ctr section bc my LEGO Fortnite videos have low ctr but they are blowing up my channel.
Good video, but theres 1 problem. RUclips sometimes doesn’t push some content creators. For example, there’s a few starting content creators who make good content checking all of the checklist which RUclips does not push their videos, not even to 1 person. Is it because they are starting new?

It also depends if yt itself will allow you to grow. I have a channel, at first I was getting thousands of views a day from several videos, the stats were pretty good, but just one day the impressions of the entire channel dropped out of nowhere, and the channel has been dead for months now and no sign it will ever recover. Still waiting for an expert to explain what the hell happened.
Blowing up on RUclips might seem complex, but sometimes simplicity wins. I have been trying to grow for a while now. Let me know what you guys think about my latest video.

I did fail my second channel after 6 years with 258 videos and 300 followers on RUclips. I work in the gaming niches, and none of them other niche ,really interest me. But gaming is one of the hardest niches. I could do a gaming challenge. What killed my old channel? Blowing up with bad horrendous audios If you watch the catalog you see, I start to pick up on RUclips things. Dude . Use Google Trends and inform yourself on the subject. I have no job anymore, so I have nothing to lose. My first video on my old channel, over time, had 1.1k views. So wish me luck. On March 16, I will start year 7 with this new channel. Thank you for the video.

I've been doing RUclips for a bit and I'm just now hitting 300 subs, granted 99% of my past content has been hidden, because I want to just focus on Starfield content, but the point is. I've haven't been consistent enough, that's my issue. That and retention but you can't really control who watches what for how long so that's a dead end
I think this video is really solid, though the 10fps text and effects were very jarring for me. No dramas, just wanted to provide a bit of feedback! Keep it up!

I hit 1K Subscribers last October in 2022 and I Upload every week Monday - Saturday and it takes a long while to hit another 1K or even 5K and I'm a Variety Channel doing Let's Plays, Vlogs and other stuff there are alot more methods to gain more Subs 😊

My channel focuses on Magic Trick Niche. Seems like that is hard to go viral with unless you fake videos with crazy reactions and click bait. What can I do? I've been on RUclips since 2008 and have 15 mil total views
Great knowledge on here. Do you also have tips for musicians, and in my case for musicians with animated content? Animated content needs time and I wont be able to push out a video under 2-3 month. I would love to work in some smart viral strategies that help me gain momentum while keeping that schedule. Subscribed.

honestly, i have never looked at RUclips as a reliable career. relying on a company to gift you money for posting content, hoping the algorithm to consistently keep your channel afloat, and making content because it is profitable and popular and not because you enjoy making it or are interested in the topic...
I’m not sure if it’s the same for shorts but I get between 50 to 60% viewed per video. So im assuming it’s a bit different in shorts then long vjdeos.
