- Intimidator 305 is one of the tallest roller coasters in the world, standing at 305ft. When this massive Giga coaster opened, it was actually too intense for most guests and the ride layout had to be altered the following year.

Camera does not do justice to how quickly the cars get up that hill.
Yeah, you have to see it in person to understand the speed and height of the ride structure

I was privileged enough to be one of the first 100 people to ride this thing after it opened…one of my all time favorites!
What was the alterations they made?
@@ObstakillI think they made the first turn less intense shortly after the ride opened
@@Rex88808they made the first turn more gradual because before the changes the first turn pulled over 5 gs and now only pulls 4.3 and they added trims on the first drop

They throttled it down? I do remember people blacking out when it first opened
@@bradleyshy2363 The first turn used to be longer causing more people to black out so they adjusted it so the chances of that are less
went on it the other day and its my second most favorite. Honestly think the dominators loops top it though.
@@lazerar7224 Dominator is a great coaster, but I don't think I've ever experienced a drop and turn like 305.....and I've ridden a lot of coasters.
@@WFUGODEACS yeah thats true. The 305s definitely more intense but the dominator is just more fun in my opinion

I’m riding this for the first time on my birthday in a couple weeks. I CAN’T WAIT!
I love this thing. The turn around is intense but I think the best moments are the rapid transitions and (believe it or not) the airtime moments. I think the first drop is underrated and the two main airtime hills are well sustained in the back. I only wish that this thing had the new Intamin over head lap bar restraints.
It would be super comfortable, but I think the comfort collars are needed during those super snappy turns

That's interesting. I was there yesterday and decided against it. I've never ridden a Giga and figured my first one shouldn't be the most aggressive one in the world in the middle of a rain storm. Twisted Timbers was an awesome consolation prize though! LOL

I was there yesterday for the first time. Dominator was a nice smooth ride. I wish the operation in loading/unloading were much faster though. You could literally watch nothing happening for minutes on end from the stairway. Glad you enjoyed the ride!

This is in Carowinds right? I rode it when I was around 14-15 years old. You could see Charlotte in the distance at the top of the ride.

This coaster is for enthusiasts. Love every second of it, even before the nerfing of it.
This ride is so fun! The speed going up is CRAZY!I rode for the first time when I was…ten? I think? And didn’t even feel the need to scream on it, didn’t lose vision at any point either😅 this is still probably top three coasters for me at this park! (First is probably twisted timbers, the second always changes, maybe this then tumbili)

I rode fury 325! 20 feet taller than this, it was a heck of an experience and the first time I rode it, it was in the way back! It went so fast but the turns were not as good, it was mroe of an airtime than twisty and turney like this, I have not rode this, but I imagine it is a great coaster and I hope tyo ride it soon.

Late night, last in line after the ride closed, just cousin and I sitting in the front row with 2 other people behind us. I greyed out in the first bend at the bottom of the lift hill.
I went on this twice yesterday. It was amazing.

I did black out on the turn and most of the ride I don’t particularly remember except the drop so it’s hard for me to rate it.

This is easily the most intense rollercoaster in the world. There’s really nothing else that comes close. It went through several redesigns because people kept greying and blacking out
The only thing wrong with that coaster is it isn't 7500' long.

More intense than Skyrush, though Skyrush has more intense airtime
U literally feel as though ur arms are going to fly off n u are melting in your seat lol Most people dont even scream on it, due to the shock of the g forces lol People tend to grey out after the first drop, as it IMIDIATELY goes into a turn. it will literally take ur breath away, to give u an idea of the intensity lol it was voted one of the most intense full circuit Rollercoasters in the world numerous times. it is also the same hight as the Statue of Liberty.

I skipped Anaconda because of all the negative online opinions instead of experiencing it myself. I'm fine with that decision! 😝 I used that time to ride Flight of Fear which was amazing.

@@LordRaykenI slightly grey out on nitros upward helix in NJ depending where I sit sometimes. I could only imagine this. It's not gross it's an awesome feeling.
