Awesome! In hindsight, many should actually start with the geprc phantom as it is a much better platform to grow with. The tinyhawk, I too have learned, has its own issues being so proprietary and even down to their motor mounts.
Keep up the great work.
Good choice going for a visible colour. You'd be surprised how many people go for black. Nice video mate.
Cheers dude! Nice job on the parts 👌
Yo dude! Awesome vid series man. I'm relatively new to FPV myself coming from the stupidly simple and easy to fly DJI Mini 2. I've been rocking sims for months and I bought a whoop to start with (Meteor65 Pro ELRS) and I eventually killed it doing freestyle in the wind. Bad combo so now have a Tinyape Freestyle coming this week hopefully no delays. I'm modding my mates Tinyhawk II to ELRS shortly and putting an XT30 on it for him eventually.
Already eyeing up kits online thinking of building the Eachine Tyro79 but swithcing out the receiver to ELRS and get a better vtx for it.
Thanks man! Have fun with the ape! The tyro series are also a great starting point! 👍
Hats off for sticking with this project. I was also planning on further upgrading my Tinyhawk but considering time, effort, cost (and performance is worse due to added weight), I got to the point where I just bailed on it and bought a Flywoo Firefly Quad 80mm (4S). I just felt like I would be replacing everything to get it the way I would want it. Seems you also came to that conclusion but stuck with it (great content too).
Thanks 🙏🏼Literally have made this series to guide people through all the skills needed but on a cheap quad to save the pains before getting to bigger stuff! I have 20 quads from the micros to 6inchers
@@Stevieboyfpv All drone pilots seem to end up with multiple drones. I too have become a collector [only 9 still alive..Blade Nano QX (classic), Tinyhawk 2 FS, Flywoo Firefly Quad, Pavo 30, Protek 35, Roma V2, Evoque, Nighthawk Pro 280 (first fpv drone), Mavic Air 2]...anyways can't wait for the next vid.
@@monolith2001 its deff got some addictive qualities 🤣
@@Stevieboyfpv I’m new into fpv and I took the tinyhawk fs 2 just to learn the soldering and replacing parts on it before going on a 5” just like yo said ! thanks to your very helping tutorials !
@@aymen3962 smart move! Excellent! Stoked to of helped/ been part of your journey man🙏🏼
U talk really well 😊🙏
Thanks i try to get the info over clearly🙏🏼
Top my friend 👍👌
Thanks man!🙏🏼
Stevie boy, I Fried my TH Freestyle FC because I had a solder bridge upgrading VTX an didn’t have a Smoke Checker, so instead of spending $70 for new TH FC, am getting a 20/20 FC stack to put in it an I’ll see how that goes!
Sorry to hear that dude 😔 your not the 1st and won't be the last. Good luck with the 20x20! Get a smoke stopper though bud 🙏🏼
Best tinyhawk freestyle upgrade series ! What type of wires do I need for the crsf nano rx ? I have the rx but with no wires…
Thanks dude!🤜🤛 make sure its silicone wire normal wire melts with a soldering iron silicone doesn't the wire only needs to be about 0.5-0.75mm 20-22awg you can go 1mm at 18awg if you wanted but I think what comes with the rx usually is .5mm
@@Stevieboyfpv wow I can’t thank you enough because I couldn’t find this information anywhere else 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@aymen3962 welcome dude!🙏🏼
Awesome Tutorial. But i have a Question. I have to tune a drone as a Scool Projekt and i am thinking about something like this. Do u know if it can carry a Gopro hero 8 it weights ca 177 g
No it couldn't carry a full gopro I'm affraid
So that other frame you showed that was heavier, off of banggood, does it also fit the FC that comes with the tinyhawk 2 freestyle?
I think it still needed minor adaptation aswell
Hi Stevieboy! Fantastic videos you keep on uploading👍
If you had a mostly original TH2F today, what upgrades would you prioritize and with what parts? (xt30 done.) I'we studied all your videos and can't wait to start ordering parts👌👍
Best wishes
-Christoffer (Norway)
Thanks Christoffer! I guess the vtx antenna upgrade or the vtx itself, although get good at soldering 1st 👍 and I did love the foxeer camera. Happy flying!
Heisann!
@@a.thiren2459 sorry could you please say again in English?
@@Stevieboyfpv No worries Stevie, I saw Christoffer signed that he was from Norway, so I just told him (in norwegian) that I have done, and recommend, upgrading both the vtx and the vtx antenna. I aslo recommend getting a better radiolink, for example ELRS 2,4 Ghz (There is a 900mhz version too). If you want ELRS you'll need the reciever (and a corresponding antenna) and a module for the radio.
@@a.thiren2459 nice one!👍
Thank you so much for this! Quick question how did you get your OSD back? Mine just has the Foxeer voltage and timer but all my other stats are missing
On the osd page change it to nstc not pal should clear that up 👍
@@Stevieboyfpv i am fairly new to fpv so i appreciate the response, unfortunately that didn’t work for me, any other ideas?
@@wizconson check you have it all selected in the osd column and arranged as you want it on screen check you have the nstc or pal selected and make sure that you save changes. If that doesn't work then maybe a wire isn't soldered quite right or an rx and tx are the wrong way around somewhere.
@@Stevieboyfpv I think it was my amateur soldering skills 😂 I touched it up and made sure settings were right, now I got it back! Big thank you again!
Hi, were you able to do all that without burning the 5v regulator, i heard its only 1.5A so i wonder if its possible to connect the runcam thumb which is 280mah and a elrs receiver 7mah all on the board, any thoughs
Yeh no burnouts, no experience with the thumb Alfred Kim has done a lot with one a while ago though. Elrs is a good choice though.
@@Stevieboyfpv so i probably wont burn the board thats the thing right
Really enjoy your upgrades…I’m having trouble showing rssi in goggles …in beta my reciever has all aux channels used up with switches. Thanks
You should be able to tick the rssi box in the osd (on screen display) settings in betaflight
Thanks ..u mean on my osd (in goggles)?
@@MrGarywells yes the osd settings in betaflight so it will show in your goggles
What rx are you using?
Great will have ago🤔
The only upgrade I made was the vtx (eachine nano)
What’s the price of the modded one lol
The point is the progression from start to finish to learn all the skills to be able to save money when you transition to a larger and much more expensive quad to both buy and fix, while at the same time ending up with a little 2 inch ripper that will always be worth keeping and having some fun!
The frame is £30 the motors are from £15-30 the camera is £20 and the vtx is £12
Frame is what name?
Armattan tadpole
