    Woah this is a great looking kit! I'm actually more impressed they have a Glacier color case option, usually none of these other laminated screen mods offer a shell that actually looks like the original glacier blue and also fits the screen mod. Thanks for providing the link!

      Right? I love it! It looks almost exactly like the stock GBA color, down to the level of transparency! They really knocked it out of the park! Also, consider subscribing for more content like this!

    How is people’s experience with this? People are saying they’ve bought it, but nobody seems to have actually done it. I know the screens can vary in quality and all this in one package sounds too good to be true.

      Hispeedido makes high quality stuff. I can't personally vouch for this GBA IPS screen, but I can definitely recommend their GBC OLED screens!

      I’m assembling right now and hating my life

      I don’t have a ton of knowledge on GBA. But the motherboard screws from my old gameboy when inserted into the new shell housing just tore up the plastic and stripped the screws. There weren’t any new screws that came with the new kit. Also the sensors to adjust brightness and color aren’t great. My brightness one works but the other doesn’t change and is stuck on blue :/ . I wish the video also went more in depth on re assembly and mentioned tips for people like myself to Prevent situations like this. A lot of small details are missing from the video on how to line things up. If you already have prior work experience on the gba then you prob already know this stuff but it was a 1st for me

    Hi, first of all, thank you for this great tuto. 👍🏻
    I'm interested by doing it. Just a question : what's the difference between US pack and Canadian pack ?

    Hi! I ordered the kit through your ebay link. How long did it take to arrive? Thanks

    Can you still use the batteries or do you need to put the usb c connector inside?

    • @Dedman_Tech
      @Dedman_Tech  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can still use them, but because the IPS screen uses wayyy more power, it's usually not a bad idea to replace it outright.

    As someone who has no experience with opening up/changing consoles, how easy is this? Is it easy to mess up or break?

    • @Dedman_Tech
      @Dedman_Tech  6 дней назад

      It's not easy to break at all. I just stress patience, and if anything feels like it may break, just be sure it absolutely won't before you do anything. Patience is the ultimate key, though!

    Why didn't you use your tweezers to undo the ribbon cable pins?

      Great question - there were definitely a few things I'd do differently next time around, however, it's important to get plastic tools to avoid scratching or shorting anything electronics-wise.

      I ended up selling it awhile ago to a friend, but it was still full battery after a few weeks!!
