Thanks. I appreciate how you're able to deliver a lot of valuable info quickly by stating relevant facts while showing screen shots of the items, labels and sold prices.
My California guy is what I call you to my hubs lol You're teaching me new brands & I'm finding them 🤗 I'm also realizing some that I pass by and shouldn't.
Thanks for another informative video. You motivated me to list my quicksilver shorts instead of selling them to a buy sell trade store. I love the great vintage book tips.
I found a Kiton a few weeks ago! I only recognized it because in one of your videos you mentioned the red dot over the “i.” I better get it listed like now. I also found a pair of PFG pants that the legs zip off. This is an item I would have never even noticed before your videos. Thanks again.
Great video as always! Thrilled that things are moving for you, even when it burns a hole in your stomach to sell them less, a quick sale is money in your pocket. I took your advice (I sell mostly hard goods) and lowered a few things and what do you know, 4 quickies. Not high end but 3 of them were freebies :) Going in every day now and making some changes. Thanks! If you have a p.o. box I've got a Heinlein book for you, there are several versions out there but the cover art on this one is exceptionally good and I think only used on one certain run. I have a few copies, just thought you might like it for your own.
FYI, picked up Tommy Bahama chino shorts, usually pass on any Tommy Bahama but you said the shorts do well, paid $3.60 sold for $23 9 minutes after posting….I seriously think I need to pay you a commission
You have great info, Thanks!! I love that you share your knowledge of brands and what sells well. Also great info on how you determine what items will sell quickly! I understand pricing at low market value for a quick sale when you need it or something is not selling. I am a bit concerned though about pricing below market value especially if everyone starts doing it. Just one low sale will bring the average value of the item down and then everyone has to lower their prices to make a sale. I feel over time it will bring prices so low that no one will be able to make a living selling these items.
Came over from watching Tommy Bernhard, new sub here. I like your pictures of the clothes. I hate doing pictures of clothes, so hard. I think I'll have to watch more of your videos and see how you do these pictures. Awesome sales.
Kind of off topic, where did you get your photo backdrop? I am tired of mine and I hate pure white ones, yours has just enough non white. Great video, I am somewhat of a quick flipper right now cus of garage space its a good model. I can never seem to get the top of market price anyway.
Love your videos, Matt. You go straight into what everyone wants to see and hear and are a wealth of knowledge! Side note- Are there updated versions of the manifesto? I know you’ve mentioned that you’ll add some more brands
Thanks for the great content and advice. I’m seeing a lot of Tony Hawke stuff at resale stores lately....shirts, shirts, hoodies. Does it carry any decent resale value?
I have a question. How much prep do you doing to the presentation before you take a pic? Do you iron these items or steam them? Do you put priority on the number of pictures you use for your listings?
so im really appreciating the quick flip mentality. lots of fun to be able to turn a profit in the SAME DAY. I would also rather price an item $5-10 lower just to get it moved out of my store vs. sit on it for a month when I'm still making a good profit anyways. I appreciate the content you make. Your previous video tipped me off on patagonia and I've now come across 2 pairs in the last 2 days. they sell immediately. thanks man. take care.
Out of curiosity how how many items do you have in your inventory and do you only thrift or do you use liquidation or wholesale to supplement your inventory?
Simms waders have the best Warranty... waders is in need of repair after your first year, Simms charges a flat fee of $60 for evaluation, repair, testing of repairs and return shipping back to you.
did the sun lighten your hair that much? If so I need to get outside in the sun more often. My natural hair color is close to the root area of your hair. Love the color of the lightened area of your hair, looks natural.
Great content as always, thanks for not being the typical RUclips resellers and keeping it real. THIS is reselling not getting it from the bins for 50 cents and selling it for $100. Y’ALL PAY ATTENTION TO THIS GUY, HES RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Thanks again Matt! If you ever vacay in Orlando, let me know…I’ll show you some sweet spots to grab goodies!
Thanks for these videos! I notice that your listings are all Free Shipping - is that better than buyer pays to ship? I am a new seller and haven't offered free shipping option yet.
Opinions vary widely and intensely. I do free shipping because it's what I"ve always done, but credible people have told me you don't make as much money due to some mechanics with how Ebay works.
I found a comme de garcons grey hoodie with The little red heart with the eyes on the front and five across the entire upper back with the name and the word “PLAY” for $6.99 at goodwill. What would you price it at?
@@gregoryballiet9333 I’m gonna research it and see how I can tell if it’s fake. The tags all say made in Japan and look legit. Im hoping it’s authentic.
Oh the pain of hearing what I already know as I too analyzed data and realized selling it for a little less is a great idea, but I too have problems fighting my reseller brain. I need to kill those voices. The ones saying, "But the buyer will give me an even lower offer if I list it lower." Tell me how to do it.
Matt, enjoy watching your videos and absorbing your knowledge. I would like to check out your eBay store, but have not found any reference to it on your RUclips or Instagram sites. So what is the name of your eBay store so I can look you up?
Have you ever come by a brand with low sell through? But the reason for the low sell though was price ? Would you still buy it .? And sell at a better market price ?
@@gregoryballiet9333 thanks just started selling myself and have seen nearly fast flips on certain brands with 60-70% sell trough so was a little confused why, looking back now, it was either to high priced, terrible photos, terrible description or title and last was the product they were selling was to worn. After taking that out, it turned into a 95% sell trough rate which I was happy with.
My 6 year old daughter as she sinks into the couch: "I love watching California Matt. His videos are so relaxing."

I feel like I’m basically the same person, but I’m not vegan, I don’t resell clothes, and I’m bald.
That’s too cute!!

I just started selling a few months ago after I lost my business to Covid. I sincerely appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Thank you.
Another solid BOLO is vintage Dragonball Z T-Shirts. Sold one literally within 5 minutes of posting it for $30.
@Gabe Lloyd using the quick flip and undercutting the market 🤷🏻♂️

Great job - do you wash your items before photographing them?

Why no Vineyard Vines? I always sell out of them. They do take a little time. The plastic VV bags sell very quickly for like $12 $15
Please at least mention the brands and how much it sold for ...cant read the tiny letters.
Do you use best offer on eBay or just pick your price and stick to it? And/or do you send offers to buyers? Thanks!

I really appreciate the old cook book tip!
I put most of my clothing inventory with no offers, but free shipping. Why do I still receive offers by Ebay?
Love your videos - any chance you can enlarge the insert listings? Just a little too small for me to read so fast! Thanks!

I don't see any of those brands in my area 😕
Same! Cali brands
First off, your hair is the bomb in this video. Secondly, I am extremely jealous of your sales. I'm thinking the magic is all in the hair. LOL!
Is your hat cold without your beanie? I need to know.
How do you keep profit margins while still absorbing shipping costs?
I have a question. How much prep do you doing to the presentation before you take a pic? Do you iron these items or steam them? Do you put priority on the number of pictures you use for your listings?
Do you take photos with measurements pictures?
Can I ask why you sold the Robert Graham shirt for $20?
Do you ever link to your eBay store or Poshmark closet? I'd like to look at them.
I think he keeps that info private.
