The PGA TOUR heads to the iconic Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass for the 2022 edition of THE PLAYERS Championship. The top 30 golfers in the FedExCup standings, including 2017 FedExCup winner and defending champion Justin Thomas, will tee it up this week. World No.1 Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa are just some of the biggest names in golf battling it out for the $3.6 million winner’s share. Hovland remains one of the hottest players in the game, leading at the halfway point of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Hideki Matsuyama is also in impressive form after winning the Sony Open this year. In 2020, Matsuyama tied the TPC Sawgrass scoring record (a 9-under 63) in the opening round and following the cancellation of that tournament, he'll be aiming to go all the way for the first time this year. The reigning FedExCup Champion, Patrick Cantlay, is looking to continue his excellent start to the season - he’s finished outside the top 10 in just one of his five starts so far.

Who else wants a Cam Smith chipping masterclass? His short game is pristine!
Schit Yeah.
Im in...
Best putter I’ve ever seen. Tiger was hot with it but this guy is really impressive, his lag putting got him the W at saint andrews
That wedge on the 18th is one of the most clutch shots I've ever seen in golf. Absolute nerves of steel.
👍
The baller line on 16 not bad either 😮
I think Cam said he wasn’t aiming it so far right on the 17th but it sure made for a killer shot didn’t it?
What a win for Cam, couldn’t happen to a nicer guy! Playing the best golf of his career and putting like a machine, definitely see a major in his not so distant future.
This aged well
@@camu1070 it did indeed but OP knew what he was talking about ⛳
He’s dialed in this year. Watch for him to be the FedEx Cup champion this season. Move over Cantlay & Rahm.
Rewatching this after he smoked Rory on the final day to win the Open @ St Andrews. Cam Smith = Putting Jesus.
His wedge game is off the charts. That and his putting won him The Players. Pure talent.
I feel for Lahiri, played a great last round, Cam was just on another level on the greens.
Jordan Spieth with a funny haircut and accent. What a compliment for Spieth!
that shot on 17 was *chefs kiss* 🤌
What a fabulous short game Cam has, can see him being around the world top ten for many years
Cam smith is on fire, he is very confident and had great range of shots, he can definatly putt so hopefully Cameron will hava great chance for the masters in 3 weeks time. Good luck mate.
I remember when he finished tied for 3rd at the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay. That was the 1st time I had heard of him. It's amazing how far he's come since then. Clearly the best International player at the moment
It was 4th but point still stands
Uuhhh… John Rahm? Isn’t he a better international player rn?
@@awesomeness5464 I think he meant in terms of the Internationals team in the pres cup.
still my fave ever US open.
He's been playing great golf. Doesn't surprise me. Great player.
Unbelievable wedge player
Also such a clutch putter from inside 10 feet
So composed coming down the stretch.Going to have a big year
The pitch on 12 from the deep stuff is one of the best shots I’ve seen in recent times
His shots saved around the green has to be insane. The amount of chips that keep him close enough for those confident single putts is beyond impressive, even at their level
That last round was great! Instant classic!
This guy is a chipping and putting maniac! For everyone out there that doesn't hit the ball real far, and I don't know how far he hits it, the short game is the key. Without all of those wonderful shots that he made he would have lost. He needed all of those to go in. Think about it it was all the short game.
qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq
This guy reminds me of Jordan Speith. He isn't worried about trying to hit the ball 400 yards. He knows he can win if he just plays his game.
Yep it's no fluke when you keep doing it. It's great to see him using his skills to get it done.
Cam Smith... Bring it to the Masters buddy! We're ready to watch you dominate! Keep it rollin, brutha!!
He’s going to win the masters this year
all he's gotta do is shoot all 4 rounds in the 60s again and he'll surely win.
That’s a bold statement sir. Nice
He won the open instead
@@tourlabz5589 my man didn’t leave me hanging too long
I could watch him all day
Aussie King
Short game's way better than the mustache. Amazing stuff! Congrats!
The wind can do a lot of things, but it can’t stop a golfer with a great short game
Best short game in golf at present....I think so...👍👍👌👌
Absolutely brilliant!
Insane tournament wow
The audacity to throw a dart at that pin on the island green under that sort of pressure and then sinking the putt- what a player
Death or glory....he has more birdies and bogeys than pars but that's how he plays
Awesome come out making all them birdies is so awesome couldnt happen to a nicer guy
Dude is cold as ice.
What a shot on 17th, nerves of steel, very well deserved win, congrats 👏
I think he might have been aiming at the centre of the green on that one.
Smith was a cold stone champion in this tournament - wow.
damn they didn't show his 200yrd iron shot on the 16th. That shot was unreal.
Impressive control and composure. Hope he can stay hot. Fun hearing the crowd getting into it!
That shot on 17 - woohoo! What a thriller.
Absolute beast
Is that man using a 60 year old ping anser?
I wasthinking the same thing. But it definatly works
The man can play!
Someones gotta tell Cam Smith that "Joe Dirt' was a David Spade movie character to be ridiculed, not emulated.
Dizzy as from shaking my head in amazement. I will have 10 of those putters and 10% of his skill.
I will be shocked if he doesn't win a major this year. Wouldn't be shocked if he won 2.
This was a good call. Hope you had money on it.
And today announced he is heading to The LIV Tour.
Absolute clinic !!
rory should take notes from this guy. Pure class and calmness.
GOAT putting contender
After signing with LIV, PGA Tour took away his winners parking space at TPC Sawgrass, removed photos from the clubhouse of his win.
Next step in trying to erase history must be killing off RUclips videos of his victory.
how bloody good
22 one putts in 40 holes . lol Mind blowing .
Cam Smith clutch when he needs to be
I'm a big Cameron Smith fan. As a Golfer from Australia we have a rich history at the Players Championship. The mans Wedge game & putting game is 2nd to none. All I see him havimg to do is pick up his driving accuracy. He will be #1 by the end if the year. Mark my words. Just watch.
I believe he will be pushed by Thomas, Dustin, Rahm, Rory and Cantlay.
He has had a great couple of years. Hopefully he can keep moving up. He has really honed his skills. His mental game is as good as any. Go smithy
You forgot to mention Scottie Scheffler.
@@neilmcphee1554 yep and mori and victor.
Looking like a #1
WHY DID PGA STOP SHOWING THE BAD SHOTS also?
QUEENSLANDER 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
He was such a better golfer then than he is now!
What a shame 😔
This player is better
what would happen if he took a plug out of the green since they design the green so you cant putt chipping like that?
Nothing.
Talk about putting on a short game clinic
What happened to the last hole ffs
Awesome Cam and now for that famous green jacket at Augusta National next month 🏌♀️⛳🇦🇺🥰
Ahhh yes… we’ve all had these days like C. Smith haven’t we??……no takers? ……anyone??
I’ll let myself out.
i like this...short time.
The new Phil ⁉️🤔
Why didn’t he play bmw had a real shot
Fifty grand a hole, more than $13,000 per stroke Where will it end? Ridiculous.
Clinic
привет
I admit im here to boast....had Matsuyama @ masters 32-1....had MoriKawa @ open 22-1....had cantley at @ i forget 27-1(beat rahm in playoff i believe)...had smith @ tpc 32-1(only had $25 to win each time).....and yes i guarantee masters winner comes from 22-1 - 45-1 odds range..
Fabián fernandez
It will total boycott in 2023 if Cam Smith cant defend his title,
I love hoodies and sport shoes coming to the game. Outdated dress code can stay where it belongs... in the 18th century
Tw@
These highlites make him seem superhuman. Check his scorecard, and you'll see he is anything but.
Did you see the conditions they were playing in? His short game is no joke
Someone’s insecure
Now he can afford to cut off that stupid mullet
That's the best you got?
He uses it to read the wind
Stop posting blood money players
