Knowing Starcraft 2 mods, you could probably mod the game so that your Marines are replaced by the civilians with firebombs

Yes there is. In the perpetual randomizer mod in the Custom Campaign Manager Discord from GGG. You even can use a chat command to replace the marine with a civilian
@@gertimoshka Any weak unit has a pricepoint at which it will be good. I mean, marine is basically the weakest unit in the game, but with it's price point, it's the single best unit in the whole series.

Part 1: The confusion, seeing the timestamp and missing the catchy lil intro
Part 2: The realization, when the members only privilage set in and I realized that april fools is coming up.
Part 3: The laughter, because it is funny.

I legitimately thought this was going to be starcraft 2 with only firebats and hellions. And I was sooooo looking forward to it.
The funny thing is, there is a fairly recent mod for the campaign called Perpetual Randomizer where each unlockable unit is randomized into a unit from specific pools (marine can be a marine, zergling, zealot, elite marine, etc) and it just so happens that one of the marine replacements are the firebomb throwing civilians.
So this run is ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE. No anti-air for the entire game might be rough, but hey, I saw GiantGrandGames do worse!
Also, even without modding in Civilians, it's possible to beat most missions in the game by only ever killing things that are targeted as main objectives, so as long as you believe strong enough that a later mission might have a unit with firebombs, you can keep pushing forward with what you have, only using them for the absolute minimum in order to complete missions. (According to GiantGrantGames' Wings of Liberty Pacifist run, only the final mission (All In) and the first Protoss side mission (Whispers of Doom) are impossible in practice even on Normal difficulty.)
I say. Nukes, Yamato Cannon and firebombs could be fun. but we need a missile tower replacement for mission two.

It bothered me more than it should not hearing the intro's musical notes.
Also the ending was brilliant. Lemon is untouchable with some of these challenge runs.

I always play videos in the background because I play a ton of Diablo 2 and Chess and it's nice to hear someone I enjoy talking to me while I'm thinking. I shit you not, I hit back THREE times without looking at the video length because I thought my phone was fucking up. Would love to see a StarCraft run though, fantastic game!

Honestly I would love to see challenge runs in Starcraft 2, such a good game and Lemon's commentary is always top tier
great video and great april fools fun but if you are interested in an actual fire bomb related run in sc2 (related as in some of your other challanges, bombs are bomb) the reapers throw bombs are buildings. and some other units also work with mines or bombs, so Id love to see you give a try to a bomb run. I think it could be possible and fun, once the repear is unlocked 4 or so missions in. none the less love ya Lemon ❤

There are also firebats and helions that can be used as pseudo-firebombs. Same with vultures and spider-mines. And if you want something even closer then there are widow mines that can be moded in place of other units.

I love and hate this at the same time. I 100% didn't realize the date when I clicked on the video, so I got blindsided by the ending.

I saw this video on my recommended on Friday or saturday I think, didn't watcht it then. Later when I wanted to watch it it was suddenly gone. So for the last 2-3 days I wasn't sure if It was just my imagination or not and if I was turning crazy. I am just glad that it wasn't a fever dream.

Hey Lemon, the Perpetual Randomizer mod has Civilians be a usable unit that you can get from the very beginning. Just reroll your starting unit until you get it, and you got a run going! Can't wait to see if this actually happens.

This might have been an April's Fools, but there are mods galore for Starcraft 2. Want to play the human campaign as the Zerg? There is a mod for that. Want to play with Starcraft 1 pathing and unit balancing? There is probably also a mod for that...

Hey lemon just letting you know that there's a button for selecting all combat units in SC2.Would likely have been easier to mash that plus the move command.
Pretty early into the campaign you can also unlock the reaper which uses explosive charges (basically firebombs) when attacking buildings
And for a moment I didnt see the video length and thought you had some mod to use the firebomb civilians for the whole game. Good April Fool's!
