We had the great pleasure of receiving a second visit of the great German Guitarist Judith Bunk in our studio. She recorded a lovely classical guitar program composed of pieces by John Dowland, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Napoleon Coste.

Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Our passion for these unique instruments and the joy to give guitarists, passionate players, and collectors the possibility to purchase their own appropriate instrument is the motivation that drives us. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). What a beautiful, warm and captivating tone, the guitar sings in the skillful hands of Judith Bunk. BRAVO Judith!
There will certainly be a place in the current top rank for Judith Bunk...she is a very remarkable artist indeed. Her playing is strong, confident, insightful and beautiful; it just sings. She should rightfully be considered amongst the most accomplished and talented guitarists performing today. She is extremely impressive and will undoubtedly be a major figure in the future of classical guitar.
I was deeply impressed by elegant Buxtehude, especially with beautiful tones. Of course, Dowland's pieces are excellent.

This performance is very hard to describe in words. It is magnificent. It goes right to the soul. Brings lots of emotionsa and piece. Bello! Bello!

Masterful playing from Judith that's skillfully artful in sounding an emotive melody that inspires me as a guitarist and her touch at making the bass strings sing and stir listeners' emotions is wonderfully captivating.
Gorgeous performance, so musical and soulful -- these pieces just come alive and entrance.

Dear Judith. you made me enjoy my favorite composers' music on guitar and definitely you are an excellent guitarist with excellent technic and nuance.....Definitely you will have a bright future in art and i am sure in the coming future you will be one of the best guitarists in the world. Future? Hell, Ms Bunk has been in my present pantheon of masters for a long time.
I had my eyes closed and thought I was listening to Julian Bream, how marvellous to be surprised at this young phenomenon with such robust expression and exquisite taste.
I love Julian Bream's playing but for me Judith Bunks' playing of the Dowland is better, less mannered and beautifully phrased
I was really moved by the allemande by Buxthehude as well as the courante and Sarabane. It sounded hypnotic, mystical and deep and touching. As if the sensitivity of the performer and the composer vibrated in the timesless universe of treasures, silence, depth, love, devotion, compassion and wisdom.
The Buxtehude is outstanding. It could have been written by J.S. Bach. Nobody could tell any difference between both composers.

@@kithg me too!!! What I meant is that probably Bach is much more famous for everyone than Buxtehude, however he proves to be a magnific composer as well!!!!

I think the Solvieg Kirshner guitar is the best sounding instrument in this concert. It has a bell-like ring that I is beautiful. And Ms Bunk’s performance is awesome!
First, praise to Ms Bunk for bringing from the S0olvieg Kirshner guitar the "ring" that you mention, Mr Howard: That "ring" is the shake of my heart when I listen to the same work booming from an unenclosed Flentrop organ.

Absolutely beautiful and soulful! Dowland would love the performance of his work. I. Also love hearing something new (for me at least: Buxtehude) as opposed to the usual pieces everyone learns.

Ms Bunk, thanks for starting off my day in a good mood: J.S. Bach in his authentic, decisive, clear "compás" the relentless forward-and-upward, optimistic, and determined getting-on-with-it view of life! Thank you and a big hug from Montréal. Your inexorable playing reminds of Jonathan Livingston Seagull: not needing to travel from one point to another; instead, being there, without the journey, on the heels of the thought of being there next. . . . But, among all of us, you know that.

My god, that's beautiful! So danceable! I'm sure Dowland et al would have been as delighted as I am. (The sound, so sweet, so penetrating--so carrying: Player, guitar, recording, the environment . . .What sound!) Charming, delightful, masterful!
Dowland and JS Bach were the jazz and dance masters of their time: precursors for all of us who came after.
