Classical guitars are our passion! We are specialized in the highest quality concert guitars as well as historic guitars from around the world. Another focus is to work closely with established and young, largely unknown luthiers. Together we want to develop new ideas and share experiences with our customers. We also recorded pieces for many great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla and Isaac Albeniz (Asturias). As a long time classical guitar fan, nothing is more exciting then when the performer can make their right hand fingers dance on the strings in perfect timing. Always brings a smile to my face :)
Pleasant to hear this delicate and sensitive performance of Bach which seems to tame the often cold harmonic interpretations we are used to hearing.

Fantastic - such great playing, and a treat to hear it on such a fine selection of instruments,they all sounded wonderful, I'd be hard pressed to chose which one I liked most (I guess I'd just have to buy them all ;-). I'm not a big fan of Bach on the guitar, this is the best I've heard.

You play the Chaconne beautifully! May I ask whose transcription is it? I just have Segovia’s but I found it very difficult to play and I stopped learning it many years ago. After watching you play, I’m inspired to relearn it. Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous! I don’t see any information regarding the pieces, and I am in particular interested in the first one (sounds Bach, but not one of the “usual ones”)… Would love to get my hands on the scores..

I think there's a growing understanding that the classical guitar sounds best when treated like the intimate instrument it is. When played stridently to try to match traditional concert instruments in volume, even when played with great skill, it sounds a bit thin and one-dimensional, and even a little annoying (PLINKETY-PLINKETY-PLINK!).
I've never heard of Anika Hutschreuther before, but she seems to understand how to bring out the best from a guitar. From the Ponce on through to the Bach Chaconne, she played familiar pieces with such depth and musicality that they seemed fresh and new and more beautiful than I ever thought they were.
Praises to Gerhard Oldiges, too, for crafting this excellent guitar. The guitar matters a lot. I recently upgraded from my beginner guitar to one made by a local amateur luthier after 30 years. It's my "midlife crisis car." I regret holding off so long, trying to wait until I'd earned the right to an upgrade. It's SO much easier to play well and learn quickly on a quality guitar!

My ex-boss invented artificial finger nails for the concert guitar lists. He got a patent on it. The technologies came from dentist. For the guitar lists, finger nails is the most critical to take care. He has been associated R & D for electronics, and he applied its nano technologies to artificial finger nails.
