When I was in school back in the 60's Ydding Skovhøj was considered the highest point of Denmark. It is 170.77 m. But this includes a bronze age burial mound. The natural hill is 9 cm lower than Møllehøj.

3:45 haha you said exactly what I was thinking 😄 also, very good question at the end regarding how to measure heights, especially considering that the sea level isn’t exactly constant around the globe (tides, different gravitational pull in different places, the fact that radius of the earth isn’t really constant and the earth it’s not really a sphere, etc) these things can get super complicated!

yeah i have no idea how they do it and get to an accuracy of centimetres. might have to go down a little youtube rabbit hole about this!

I had a look at these 100 places. The 3 in Odense just fit in one day. I will recommend den Fynske landsby in school holidays, there will be more activities. Then there are Fyns Hovede, it is a day with public transport, and quite some bus changes. On the bright side, the busses in Kerteminde commune are free. Fyns Hovede really are out where Jens Tyndskid lives. You may have the honor, translating that one.

This seemed a very restful place, and the idea of visiting somewhere without crowds and going up a tower (without payment I assume?) then being able to get a coffee and sit down... how civilised :) So glad you had good weather for both days!

@@macronencer i was there very early because the bus was either 07.50 or 12.05 so there weren’t many people. i’m surprised it’s not better served by public transport. it was a lovely trip away and i look forward to more little trips like that.

You must be very tired after climbing three Danish mountains in one day. 🤣
