Hi Sheila I’ve done the basket weave cardigan first then the blackberry stitch one, thanks for this cable cardigan tutorial I’m starting it now, my granddaughter’s due in January, it will be my 5th great grandchild, I’m doing pastel colours because she doesn’t know which gender it is until then, thank you so very much, I enjoy listening to you as I knit, God bless you for sharing your time with us, love from N.Ireland ⭐️👏👏👏
Hi Sheila,I'm a great grandmother been knitting for 45 years but never in one piece Thank you so much for your video just made it much easier for me Love from Dublin xxxx
I often knit back and fronts all in one on small cardy's Roz, especially if you have a pattern all around the bottom you don't have to match it as you would if knitted separate..
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and knowledge Sheila. Years ago I bought this same cardigan at a yard sale in a woman’s size and would like to make one for my adult daughter. Do you happen to have a written pattern for adult size please. I have been searching for years on line to no avail. I’ve made children’s cardigans from patterns but never adult. Honestly you’re my last hope. 🧶
Hello Sheila! Thank you for your awesome tutorials! I see that you stated that you have a written pattern, but could you please tell me how I can purchase this or any of your patterns? Thank you! Also, please include the purchase cost.
Hi Sheila, knit up this wee cardigan with wool ive had for quite a few years. Unfortunately ran out hadnt enough to do 2nd sleeve, could you give me instructions for small sleeves please. Would greatly appreciate it if you could. Many thanks.
you just need to cast on the number of sts you have when you have done all the increases and knit 1"-2" depending on what size you are knitting, then just follow the sleeve shaping ..
Thank you for this very informative tutorial. I can use all this information when knitting adult size cardigans for myself to get a lovely neat finish. Just one question, do you knit the first and last stitches on all knit rows and purl the first and last stitches on purl rows whether it is stocking stitch or a pattern, including ribs ? as you have very neat edges.
In rib i knit the 1st stitch, if it ends with a knit stitch i knit into the back of the knit stitch, if purl i knit as is, in stocking stitch purl row i purl the 1st and last stitch and the knit row i knit the 1st stitch and knit into the back of the last stitch, if in any pattern it ends with a knit stitch i always knit into the back of it..
Thank you for the reply. I was knitting all first and last stitches regardless of pattern, so very difficult to pick up neat button bands and seams bulky
