Very neat build with the new arcane. For players without arcane energize a few yellow shards might even do the trick to replace it. Fleeting really helps here.

I run a hybrid day and night equinox with full terrify armor strip. 250 energy pool and with one tauforged equilibrium shard and one tauforged yellow shard, I can spam enemies to sleep all while my drain is active on my 4th. and I never run out of energy. This is still my favorite build. For rounds 1-30 I stay in day form and just nuke everything. After things get sketchy I'll switch to night form and sleep everything. I can still nuke as well you just have to do it a bit slower.
should be noted that currently, Shivering Contagion on your companion is a Frost buff too. Also, I would figure that Tenet Glaxion's energy mod could pad out Frost's energy economy
I found that you shouldn't let your companions proc cold, otherwise they will steal Arcane Ice Storm stacks and make it much harder to maintain the buff. and yea the glaxion can help ease energy concerns, but he's a weapons platform so imo you're kind of better off just bringing the big guns that can really capitalize off his freeze

Honestly Excal's only really good ability is his 1st. Javelin is good with the augment, but doesn't have high enough duration. And there are so many better melee frames to play with.
companions can proc the buff with their abilities, and it's a strict upgrade to Stretch if you have enough capacity, which I do. it's not a big deal tho, you can replace with normal Stretch without issue.
yup. you can see at 18:08 I do just that; look at his name when he spawns, to the right of it an armor icon briefly flashes, indicating I stripped his armor (also they all spawn with armor, so if they have a red health bar they must be full stripped)

yeh in my experience 2x tau (or 3x normal) yellow shards for energy orb efficiency are about as good as an Energize in the average case

I use an aura forma on like every frame I use.
