you really begin to notice the generational divide in the game when ash’s shuriken model is literally a flat static model made of 7 pixels but lavos’ vials are full blown 3D bottles with LIQUID PHYSICS inside of them
To be fair, they probably recycled the model from elsewhere, plus compared to the tiny fast dot that's Ash's shuriken the vials tend to stay on screen for more than half a second and are big and close enough one may be tempted to look at it in detail like in captura.
Fun fact about the shuriken I learned about a few years back. It’s actually a flat png of a glaive prime! It even takes colors, but I don’t remember whether it took the colors of my ash or my glaive prime
Something I’ve noticed recently is that you can sometimes use navigator to hijack an enemy eximus lightning ball, it serves no purpose other then being funny
there are also a lot of other wierd things that count as projectiles for this... such as the skulls launched from the tatsu, or the sludge puddle from... whatever that nidus lookin infested scythe with 2 heads was.
Interesting as always. I'm definitely going to try out the airburst one. Seems like it would make for a great meme-build (even if not that good meta-wise, because it has little coverage)
Love these kind of videos. Interesting seeing what abilities they took extra care in detailing. Anyway the best projectile to use with her are those from the MIGHTY SEER

May be on par with navigating fish bait in ridiculousness.
Navigator is indeed awesome, I remember a time in arbi survival where one of our squadmates was an ivara and just used exodia contagion to kill stuff that was pretty amazing to witness even though we never even saw them since they just hid in the sewers (spiral staircase in power drift). Just wish it had a SPEED UP! option so that we can actually kill with navigator rather than watching it slowly rack up useless damage(since it one shots anyways) before reaching a target less than 20 meters away.
there's a stand that functions basically like ivara with the zenith. A remote-controllable locator that lets its user land really tricky shots with his sniper

Anything involving crits, try it with Empowered Quiver with a max strength build. Not only does Empowered Quiver scale with power strength, but it also fails to mention one tiny detail. It boosts effective crit damage. Let's take a weapon with a x2 Crit multiplier for example. Modded, that'd yield a x2 + 100% = x4. Now the fun starts. What the game hints at is that it'll add an aditional 300% (assuming max strength build) onto the stock crit multiplier. So, x2+100% + x2+300% = x4 + x8 = x12. That's false. What the game does instead is take your modded crit multiplier and throws it into orbit. In other words, it boosts you modded crit multiplier. That's x4+300% = x16. Now, let's start using Prowl and Navigate on top of that! This message was sponsored by an Ivara main whose Lenz has dealt 1.4mil impact and cold damage on a headshot.. before it exploded. Ivara is the best damage dealer, change my mind.
I greatly appreciate the math, I didn't even know the mod multiplies total crit damage! But unfortunately I did try Empowered Quiver's zipline and it didn't increase crit damage for the abilities I tried. Maybe it works for certain ones or I messed up, dunno.
Since I saw this video I have to say one thing you can use this on lots of weapons including specific melee weapons that shoot out projectiles for example the one I found this out with the zenistar I turned it's AOE bomb explosive thingy into a flipping homing missile of death and even though the sinister has a limited duration for this as long as you don't run out of energy the duration is ignored and you can have it out for as long as you want so building her efficiency would you really good because the longer that things out there the more damage it does and it's an AOE so it's crowd control but unlike normal crowd control you don't got to get in the middle you can say safely up in a corner so not using prowl and just using homing is really good for this using prowl makes it last way less time but do way more damage in bursts
Nova's null star would probably work with navigator, it's not a hitscan projectile after all, and I reckon it would be good since it deals slah damage.
