- I didn't know if the streets magicians in Pune, India, were a scam or not, so I decided to find out for myself.
Pune's street magicians are a unique and fascinating aspect of the city's culture. These magicians can be seen performing their tricks and illusions on the streets of Pune, entertaining locals and visitors alike.
They use a range of traditional and modern techniques to create mind-boggling illusions, such as card tricks, sleight of hand, and levitation.
Pune's street magicians are not only skilled performers but also skilled at engaging with their audience, creating a fun and interactive experience for all involved.
Many of these magicians have been performing on the streets of Pune for decades, passing down their knowledge and skills from generation to generation.
Their performances are a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the city, and a delight to anyone lucky enough to witness them.

I am a hobbyist magician and I have to say, the cups and balls routine this guy did is one of the cleanest and smoothest I've ever seen. Incredible. He must have put in decades of practice on that routine. Penn and Teller would love this guy
This was a short version of Cups n balls. The extended version is sometimes very difficult to follow even by folks like me who have done Cups n Balls and used Chop cups too.
I didn't catch the secret move the first time. I'm impressed. Never seen that move/handling before.

The knot one is so great because you can clearly see when the cover is while he pulls off the trick, but you still can't believe he actually did it so it preserves the illusion and you don't feel "tricked" by it even though it of course is a trick :)

Interesting to see the street magician, but my favourite part was when he met the subscribers at the end !
As a pro magician of 25 years I take my hat off to these craftsmen on the streets of India.
They often make their own props and stick to the classics like this guy did, a variation of the Slydini silks, Marlo egg bag routine and cups and balls.
They work under harsh conditions and get hassled by the police.
I have more respect for these guys than a young fresh guy who buys the latest gimmicks just to get likes on RUclips.

I appreciate Karl a lot. He is not some one who you can call an apologist. He gives honest view about what is bad in India and what is good. Unfortunately we have a lot of scammers in our country. But normal people are always supportive of foreigners visiting India and I am sure will help them in case they are in trouble. I saw this in front of me. A South East Asian national had by mistake boarded the train without ticket. So a gentleman came to her help. He talked to the ticket examiner and told him that she is a foreign national and didn't have knowledge of the due process. He got the situation managed without any issues. We need more Indians who are helpful towards our guests.
