That wet shave was honestly amazing, in the UK a wet shave alone can cost up to £30
Find another barber! Both my local ones are originally from Pakistan and its £5 for a full shave. They both do it exactly the same as the video and despite me trying I have never managed to shave myself as well as they do it and they use a single blade.
One of them moved here when he was about 18 and started in a local shop before opening his own. He used to watch his grandfather giving shaves in Kashmir, from as early as he can remember he would be in the shop all day and sweep up, before starting his barbering trade when he was about 11. He works all hours and I rarely see his shop empty.

Western media tows the line on whatever geopolitical flavor of the day/month/year is
Love and respect for thesePakistani shopkeepers, they are not so rich but they have a diamond heart, they treat every foreigner as their guest. Hardly seen that they have taken money from foreigners. It is a shame that our western media portrays Pakistan very negatively.

Awesome that you tipped the barber. They work so hard, yet barely get any tips from anyone. Hard times I Pakistan for the local workers, especially with rising inflation.
I always give a big tip. £5 tip is nothing for me but helps them
@@chennygrapes Yeah 5 pound is about 1000 rupees for them. They make that amount in about a week on a good one for that matter.
I would have never watched you getting a haircut in a regular hair salon, but I loved to watch how a street barber
cut your hair and gave you a shave with the razor. Also the interaction with the people. Very interesting.

One of my favorite experiences in India is getting a shave and a haircut.
That barber is definitely talented. Karl You looked amazing after the haircut. And to think no fancy equipment. Just a scissors comb and straight razor. WOW. I'll definitely try this if I'm blessed to one day visit India. One love from beautiful Trinidad and Tobago ❤ 🇹🇹.

I don’t let U.K. hairdressers mess with my hair lol. I love how everyone is willing to chat with you. And it’s a little sad that I see so many of the people you talk to are bowled over & delighted that you speak Hindi. It says a lot about what they expect from us tourists!!
Well, we can visit a lot of countries and it's kind of impossible to learn that many languages as well as Karl does in a short amount of time. However, if you stay for a long time then yes you absolutely need to learn that language, otherwise you'll never integrate.

Karl, When i was in India in 2001, in the last couple of days of our stay in Dehli we went down to old Dehli and had a shave and a head massage what an experience.
