Absolutely fascinating. My parents are from Kerala (the state right next to Tamilnadu). I always noticed that the Korean language was the only other language that used the same words for “mother” & “father” as my uniquely South Indian language.. This had me curious. Now, I’m stumbling on this video.

Some of the other similarities between Tamils and Koreans are
    Food & Dishes:
    1) Pongal - Yaksik
    2) Oorukai - Kimchi
    3) Pidi Kozhukattai - Songpyeon
    4) Oputtu - Hotteok
    Art, Music, Games:
    1) Ariro Ararariro - Arirang (Sung as lullabies for babies)
    2) Kummi - Ganggangsulle
    3) ila vatakal - deuldol deulgi
    Traditions:
    1) Tamil Traditions - Korean Shamanism Traditions (Similar)
    2) Manivizha - Hwangap
    3) Nadukal - Koindol
    Women, Fashion, Beauty:
    1) Pottu - yeongjigonji
    2) Nethi Chutti - Jokduri
    3) Poo jadai - Dodeurak Daengii
    Other Similarities:
    1) Twin Fish Symbol (Ancient Pandiya kingdom Flag - Korea Twin Fish symbols)
    2) Woman Diving Mermaids - Jeju - Rameshwaram
Although these are just a few among a lot of other similarities, the two cultures and people have definitely been connected since ancient times when we look at the striking similarities which would only be possible by close ties and cultural exchanges. We need to fund more in this area of research. I suggest @KOREA NOW to investigate more into this and do a Tamil-Korean series with more followup videos.

    Manam - Mind (mauem)
    Pal - teeth (ippal)
In tamil we cry like "appa" when got a wound or feel a pain
Konjam konjam - a little (like joguem joguem in korean)
I do tamil versions of kpop and it's really amazing to find similarities between tamil and korean language...🤩💜✌
Tamil has more connections with other languages also like Japan and tamil has similarities with grammar, similar with cameroonian and Australian aboriginal language, Mayan language, English has many etymological backgrounds with tamil...
    Eg :
    Pyramid - பெரும் இடு (big graveyard)
    Anaconda - ஆனை கொன்றான் (elephant killer)
    Candy - கண்டு (கற்கண்டு)
    Molecule - மூலக்கூறு
    Button - பொத்தான் (பொத்தி வைப்பதால்)
    ..etc
Edit: Mommy I'm famous 😅Thanks for the likes 😇✌

Kanyakumari is once called as Ayuta Which is a district Of Tamil Nadu, located Southern most end of India .which was once ruled by a king under Pandiya daynasity who were the strongest rulers of Tamil Nadu and spreaded all over the world as well, The ruler who roled Kanyakumari under Pandiya dynasty Married her daughter Princess of Kanyakumari to the Prince from Korea, There are still some historical witness that a princess from Ayuta has a brown skin tone and came by a ship flagged with a fish emblem on it (which was the symbol of Pandiyas) and packed with wealth and golds and servents to serve on the way, Still now some Hindu gods are worshipped by Peoples of Korea...This history was forgotten by tamilians and the rights was stolen and celebrated officially by others who don't deserve it, who have behaviour of stolling the rights of others States , thought the title was with the other people officially At least I'm happy still some Tamil family and Korean relatives Still recognise the bonding😌....
