Never tried an apple watch but I like the Fit 3. The only issue is the missing barometer so you get no elevation data on your runs - even though elevation data is also included in the GPS data but the huawei health app doesn't show it. Strava does though, once you sync the health app to strava. Apart from that I think it's a great fitness watch. I especially like the music feature and that you can transmit MP3s to the watch using bluetooth. The sleep mode also works great - especially compared to the clunky implementation of the sleep mode on my Garmins.
I bought this watch since it seemed to be the best fitness tracker within its price range. Your review alongside the one from the Quantified Scientist made me decide on getting the Fit 3. I started running since april with a fitbit versa 2, which I then promptly killed by sweating too much. I never really felt that the versa 2's HR represented how my HR actually felt; peaks while running were recognized rather late and I didn't really trust its data. Having used the Fit 3 for about a month it really seems accurate. The HR on the watch feels correct and during runs the Fit 3 responds very quickly; my HR rises accordingly as I adjust my pace. As a casual runner this is a great watch! As a smartwatch it's not amazing but it gets the job done. It's a fitness tracker first and a smartwatch on the side. If you value fitness over smart capabilities then the Fit 3 is great. I bought it on sale and received a smart scale and wireless earbuds for free with them. This will be a hard option to beat once the price lowers, although even at this price it's a great contender
I am 4 minutes into the video and its already the best video on this watch. Video quality is great and you sound very professional. Keep it up, new subscriber from Croatia here!
Nice review, glad you included some heart accuracy tests. Do you find the step counter to be trustworthy too? Is there some alarms / ringtones when some timers are over or it just vibrate?
Unfortunately after almost 4 years my beloved GT2's screen separated from the main body today, and I'm on the search for a new device. This one will do just fine 👍
Thank you for your review! Is there an option to use offline navigation during workouts - via an app or for example to import a GPX route? I go for hikes and something like this will be very useful.
Great and very informational review as always The health glance on the bottom of the health app is working with this watch ? I mean I had gt4 and it wasn't working. What does it measure?
Excellent review! Most reviews are superficial or just for casual usage. There are some who focuses on sensor accuracy but lack on user experience while running. You did cover all from a sportsman point of view. As an owner of a Garmin Forerunner who look for a more user friendly fitness watch I will give a try to this. Thank you indeed. Subscribed 👍
I find the calorie tracking off on mine. The resting calories is just based off your information you put in the app and it generalises a total number of resting calories. The "move" calories doesn't even track moving. When I do housework it barely tracks any calories burnt yet I'm up and down washing dishes and doing laundry. Unless you put it on a workout mode and select other workout, then it tracks something. The calorie tracker app on here is useless. You are better off selecting "other" workout when doing housework or stuff around the house.
I have the "raise to wake" setting enabled, and when I lift my wrist, the screen turns on. However, I have a problem after sleeping - when the watch is idle, and I wake up and raise my wrist, the screen doesn't turn on immediately. I have to move around for it to work. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Great review. I have a question, have you tried to connect a heart rate monitor like garmin or the polar verity sense for the arm? Is it possibile to see the heart rate directly on the watch? Thank you
Great video, I’m primarily looking for a watch to track my bodybuilding/fitness data and burned calories. It’s great to see that it provides data for both active and passive calories. I was considering to buy the huawei gt4 but it seems like this one is pretty well designed too. What’s your opinion on gt4? Does it make a better option?( only considering fitness/calories) 😊 thanks
This really good video. Idk there is a people like you that had clear voice on English that really make me easy understand without read the subtitle. The talk about the product, this watch had 97-98% accuracy on heart rate and sleep monitor sensor. Nearly side with apple watch (SE, 7) that had 98-99% accuracy based on medical tools. I don't remember name that channel. Mybe scientists or something like that. But now from that channel I can assume that only apple watch and Huawei watch (gt 3, se 2, gt 4 and fit 3) is the most accurate heart rate and sleep sensor in the world. Other brand only had below than 95-90% accurate. And about GPS accuracy, I look from many channel, Apple watch is the top no 1. But there is not much different with other like garmin or fitbit or Huawei or Samsung or other. Last, I will subscribe you, sir. Thanks for this video.
Where did you get those numbers about sleep monitoring accuracy? My Watch Fit 2 is very good with the times I sleep, but not so sure about the sleep phases.
Thanks, very nice video, you offered some new info nobody else did not yet. I love my Huawei Watch Fit 2, so I am sure this is even better. I am missing reviews about arrhytmia detection and other new health features. And omg, how can you have a stress level of 15, I am jealous!
Thank you! I already did a review on the Ignite 3 on my German channel but unfortunately at that time, I didn’t have this channel yet.. in my eyes, the Ignite 3 is a great choice for health and fitness tracking but less so for ambitious athletes looking for sophisticated training features..
Thank you! I’ll keep that one in mind but first of all, I will do reviews on the new Garmin Fenix 8, Enduro 3, as well as the Google Pixel Watch 3 and the new Apple Watches. 😅
@@GermanAccentReviews-xn9yx Thank you for the respinse and confirmation. I wanted to buy this for my mum who loves gardening and walking. I wanted to add her garding activity towards her daily workout. Thank You!

So to clarify, the elevation can still be seen through Strava App when you link the Huawei Watch Fit 3?

Can you use the gps, exercise tracking, sleep tracking without connecting to the phone?
Just got mine for 82,79€ and a free huawei Freebuds se2 here in Vietnam. The NFC works great and easy to use, supurb battery life.

You actually opted for the nylon strap, and not the leather strap you said you got.
I said “the latter“, because nylon was the last I listed :) sorry for the accent 😅

Is the heart rate good when you run? Because xiaomi watch 4 is trash on tracking your heart rate when running

Can you make custom intervals for running, e.g. 4x100m with 2 min rest?
Yes it can.
