The Watch only wallet information was wrong. You can't use a regular Kaspa wallet, but where do you get extended public key from for kaspa?

The wallet is only for storing your kaspa not swapping or anything like that. If you wanna cash out it’ll be by sending your kaspa to an exchange or another swap service

UTXO - unspent transaction output.
Every time you receive kaspa it generates a new address. The old address becomes a UTXO containing whatever kaspa was in there. This protects your privacy since it’s not easy to track addresses to one person. This allows you to have multiple addresses.
I noticed that the address changes every transaction, but can also be reused, for example i can name something like "Donations" The only problem is the transactions on that wallet is visible to the world, but thats okay, this is Crypto
Yeah Kapsa has a UTXO model like bitcoin. You get a new address every time you use one to help protect your privacy. If you name it donations though only you will see that title.
Just curious, I tried storing some of my KAS here in the Kaspium wallet but could not see any $ amount..only # of coins. I saw where you mentioned changing the currency but that didn’t do anything to make the $ amount show...it had coin number and then $0.00. I wasn’t sure what to make of that..🤔
There is currently a bug with the value not showing correctly. You can also import the seed phrase to KDX or the web wallet if you really need to move the coins. Check my playlist on wallets to see info on those.

Yes, in the settings option you should be able to view all addresses every created. You just can’t choose which address you want to send kaspa out of. Ledger is a good cold storage device that lets you do this. Make new addresses and choose which address to move funds out of.
uphold just listed kaspa... is this wallet recommended or is it safe on uphold.. trying to see the benefit... i know this is a 8 month old video and times changed since then.. what you recommend or thoughts? and i just order tangem cards but still have to learn that..they are on the way.
I recommend cold storage devices so tangem ledger are the top options for kaspa right now.

Hi how can I use the node and mint Kaspa with my wallet?
To mint Kaspa you would need to buy an ASIC miner. There are other RUclipsrs that cover the mining side of Kaspa.
Thanks for this! Having an issue though. I created a paper only key with one of your other videos, and want to create a watch only wallet using the Kaspium app. However, I cant access the extended public key. I only have the public send key. I followed your other video on how to set up a CLI wallet to access an extended public key, but I'm unclear how this works for an already existing wallet. Any help appreciated!
The only way this would work would be sending funds to the cli wallet. Since it’s a separate wallet. Another way to see your paper wallet is putting the wallet address into kas.fyi and viewing it through the website.

No it’s not. I would suggest just using kaspium if you want an easy free version of storing funds but cold storage is always best. Tangem or ledger are best options. I have videos describing them.

How do you transfere Kaspa to the wallet ? I’m having huge trouble trying to do it from Bitget . Should I transfere on Kaspa explorer or the Kaspium node ?
Did you manage to get it sorted? I still have all mine on BitGet but want to move it off.
When you set up the kaspium wallet you will hit receive and then copy the address by either tapping the QR code or the copy icon. Then you paste the address into Bitget when you are attempting to withdraw the Kaspa.

You can compound your transactions which should consolidate all your kaspa into one address

Kaspa is not available on every exchange yet. You can try uphold.

@tonkamonka2783 I figured out the watch only feature is not just an address you put in but something you obtain from a CLI wallet. I’m in the process of learning how to set that up cause it’s not that easy. There are currently no videos showing how to get this done on RUclips so hopefully I can figure it out soon.

As long as you have your seed phrase you can import it again to recover your funds
Hey I have a question I can't find an answer to. You can use kaspium to have a view only wallet but you need an extended public key. I already had kaspa in a kaspium wallet but to prevent access I want to link it to this view only method. Where do I find this extended public key?
I've looked all through my wallet settings used the wallet codes, used the kaspa Explorer and tried the public keys it gives in the transaction data, none of them work. I just want to have an app I can link the wallet to as view only so my Mrs can have it on her phone too
You can only get an extended key from making a CLI wallet and having your Kaspa on the address generated there. If you want no access to your funds another option is to just put the address into kas.fyi and bookmark the website.

At the moment it’s not yet implemented. Waiting on Ledger to do their part. You can use onekey or tangem though.

You have a wrapped version. I recommend you get the native version. Ledger live lets you download the kaspa app then you have to use kas vault to interact with the app. My video goes over it. Wrapped version of kaspa is basically paper kaspa and not safe to be using to store your wealth long term.

Yes, your seed phrase are your keys. If you lose your phone you can always import the seed phrase into another device with the app.

Did they restore their seed phrase? Also currently, theres been a bug of not showing the balance correctly. You can use KDX or the web wallet to import and view the kaspa. I would recommend getting a cold storage device though.
Yes she did restore seed phrases. I try contact wallet dev team but no customer support or email also ,crypto beginner not easy to download web wallet.. Thank you😊

I've had my Kaspium mobile wallet for over a month now and have been buying and sending it to that wallet. So what's the difference with the official Kaspium wallet?
Not really a difference it’s just now it’s no longer in beta you can download it from the official stores now and it will be the most stable.
When a hacker control your phone, that means he can see 24 keywords by your password ?
Not necessarily. First off the hacker would need to gain access to your phone which is very unlikely to happen. Second they would need to somehow be able to view screen and somehow get you to go into the app and view the entire seed phrase. Once you write down the seed phrase once you shouldn’t need to look at it ever again within the app. Best practice always though is to use a cold storage instead because seed phrases are generated on the offline device and not your phone that is connected to the internet.

It’s as safe as you keep your seed phrase. If you want to ensure it’s extra secured cold storage is the best option. Tangem and onekey are the options and I have videos explaining those.

Kaspium Wallet is safe ?
It’s as safe as you keep your seed phrase. Always write it down and never keep it online. I would never store the bulk of my wealth on kaspium though I would use a cold storage device like tangem onekey or ledger.
Does it pay yield?
No kaspa is a proof of work coin similar to bitcoin.

Kaspa is only mined with ASICs now which is dedicated hardware. No longer GPUs.

This should fix it: Go to ⚙️->Network->Kaspa Node and add node URL "usnode.kaspium.io:443" and select it.
I highly recommend you get a cold storage wallet. Less likely for these things to happen but simply the node was having issues and you need to change to another one.
