Very helpful channel and videos, subscribed, thank you! So would it be a good idea to use Kaspium to store kaspa while waiting for tangem to arrive, then transfer over? What's the process like in terms of ease/complexity of use, processing fees, time frame (does Kaspium 'keep' kas for a minimum period of time before they can be moved to cold storage? Would appreciate your thoughts thanks!
Yeah using kaspium to start is fine. Just make sure you keep the seed phrase safe. Once tangem arrives you can send it to it as soon as you set it up.

One thing to be on guard for is potential Kaspa-based wallet drainers. I've had my wallet drained before so trying to consider what types of potential ways people will try to gain access.
Most common way is fake website. Always be suspicious if you have to enter your seed phrase.
for me number 1. tangem, 2.onekey, 3.kaspium app, 4.zelcore app. i dont trust ledger
I respect that ranking. I didn’t like zelcore app when I used it. The ledger mistrust is mainly based on things people hear but evidence has never shown someone have their seed phrase compromised using ledger for simply holding their funds correctly. Just avoid ledger recover and you’ll be fine.
Nice, but One Key is above Tangem. One Key is DEEP storage; Tangem is great easy access. I bought both a One Key and a Tangem using Kaspa Silver link

I did read there will be 24 word seed support in the future for tangem. Doesn't that mean it will be then 'compatible' with Ledger and Kaspium? Thanks!
No because the derivation path of the seed phrase does not match the one ledger uses or kaspium.

Yeah those are solid wallets for kaspa. I just use both and split my holdings since I do have a larger holding.
Do you think the kaspium is OK for long term holding l.
I always recommend cold storage for longer term holding. Would you feel comfortable having thousands of dollars being accessible on your phone. It’s almost like you should treat hot wallets like kaspium like your physical wallet. How much cash would you carry on you at all times. It’s a good wallet to start with and your funds will be safe but for maximum safety cold storage is always best.

Seed phrases are stored on the device secure element. It never leaves your device.

We do not know could take months. Really not needed though. But it’s up to ledger to do it nothing we can do.

What is the one wallet that you choose over the others in order to keep KAS? I already own one ledger x
I personally use cold storage. Because I have a decent size position I spread my holdings between the 3 cold storage devices. If I was in your position I wouldn’t worry too much about only using ledger. This is one of the top devices I use to hold my biggest bag. If you do want to get another cold storage to split your holdings I would suggest tangem.
@@KaspaSilver I do have a quite diverse 7 figure portfolio huge expectations out of this bull run and should have bought second cold storage long time ago. However , in Australia can’t see any accredited Tangem seller ..guess need to buy it from their website . Thanks for your perspective

Yeah I understand your dilemma. That’s why I even encouraged using multiple for extra safety but truly they all still work and are safe. A tangem and ledger combo is the best option. Tangem might not have any display but truly the chances of this being an issue is extremely low especially if you just need it to hold your funds you do not even need a display for that. It’s only when sending but I have never had an issued with tangem. If you seriously want the display ledger is best then. People’s concerns with ledger though are usually a bit over the top. Just use ledger to hold your funds never use ledger recover and if you only use kaspa you never have to use ledger live after you download the kaspa app.

I'm actually looking for a cold wallet for BTC (just HODL) and for Kaspa (plan to HODL about 50% and selling the other half within the next 1-2 years DCAing out). I actually have just a small bag (compared to most people) anyway, probably laughable to even think about it so much. But yeah for me it's a lot and I need to make a good decision. I can buy a hardware wallet OR stack some more KAS per month, not both :)

for me i use web wallet and ledger. web wallet is as safe as your computer is. its a vault! but im experienced. maybe web wallet isnt for noobs.
Definitely I would say web wallet isn’t for noobs. Kaspium is much better for first timers that don’t wanna spend any money to store their crypto. Also hot wallet should never be used for long term holding in my opinion

seedphrase from onekey is not compatible to tangem??why not?
It uses a different derivation path that’s not compatible with most wallets. There is a new chrome extension wallet that is supposed to support onekey seed phrase but it’s very new and I’m waiting for approval to be used after someone is able to verify the code is legit.

Understandable but there is no evidence to suggest funds have ever been lost randomly by people. There’s a lot of misinformation about it.

Well all wallets have this “con” of you doing something wrong. If you can’t keep 3 cards safe then you probably shouldn’t be diving into crypto. It’s all about self responsibility.
