You are not able to see your kaspa on ledger live only on the website itself. Ledger live doesn’t have support yet.
Greetings.thank for the good content always.I have Kasper on tangem.I have most of kas on tangem but small amount on Kaspium mobile wallet just want to know if the kaspium is relative safe to keep it or must I put all in the tangem
Personally I only keep spending amounts on kaspium and keep all my long term holds on cold storage

Not sure but you never need it with kaspa pretty much cause we have that website. But it is next on ledger list to implement.

Thank you! I have been looking into cold storage options more as of late. Unlike many people, I kinda do trust two of my three exchanges. The third exchange I use is a bit sketchy and makes me concerned but has cryptos I am interested in that the other two do not. It's this third sketchy exchange that mostly makes me interested in a cold storage device.
Use a cold storage device for all your assets, even if you do trust your exchanges. I trusted two exchanges and got burned by both. Both were large, supposedly legitimate exchanges. You don't HAVE to trust anyone if you use cold storage.

After doing this method can you send your KAS to any exchange that lists KAS in order to sell/take profits? Or do you need to send to Kasvault first? My other concern is what if Kasvault gets hacked or disappears or gets sued, etc by the time the peak bull market comes and then our Kaspa is stuck on our ledger?
Kasvault is an open source website and cannot necessarily get hacked. If this rare possibility occurs you can always import the seed phrase on kaspium to recover your funds. You don’t have to use kasvault also you can any other cold storage solution you want and send funds to whatever exchange you want. Kasvault only works if you have ledger.

IF you aren't the single 'owner' of the private crypto keys, you are always risking your crypto to someone else's 'reliability' ... I am not sure if this is the case here, if the keys are stored in Kasvault or in Ledger...but if stored in Kasvault you are definitely at risk when, e.g., Kasvault gets hacked or closes its doors... even if linked to your ledger device...

I had this problem too. I fixed it by basically trying again and disconnecting and reconnecting. Also clear cache and data on the site. After it got fixed though it wouldn’t mess up anymore.

quick question love my ledger but would i be able to see my coins on ledger or just the app kasvault also i have mining rigs that mine daily will i be able to use the wallet from my wallet at ledger to receive all my kaspa from every machine into their daily? or no?
Yeah kasvault is just a place to view your kaspa. You can use it fully like if it was on ledger live. Mine to it and everything. Watch my video on it and I explain how it works.

We don’t know yet but it’s next to implement on their end.
So, you still need an extra seed phrase for kas even when it is on the ledger device and so it can not be recovered by the original ledger seed phrase that is created with the installation of the ledger device, right?
So is not fully integrated yet like it is for BTC or Eth?
No, seed phrase will still work like normal. Even when ledger live does support kaspa you will see everything.

Because you don’t need to always use ledger live to interact with kaspa. Once you download kaspa once to ledger you never have to do it again.

When i use the ledger for kaspa including the vault, is the kaspa stored safely on the device or ?
Since it seems the actual address is generated web based and not from the device itself.

Kaspa is always stored on the network. What you have access to is the keys to move those funds on the network. The seed phrase. These keys (seed phrase) are always stored on your ledger device and does not leave the device. Kasvault simply lets you interact with your kaspa securely.

Yes, as long as you are restoring your seed phrase into another cold storage device it would be safe.
Short question: i have in kasvault created 2 more adresses. But how can i delete both created adresses again ?
You would have to clear cache and data on the site. Then you will only see the first address again once you connect your ledger.
Kas (eth, binance smart chain, polygon) which one costs lowest fees to transfer,?
Don’t buy kas on those networks. Buy the actual coin on either Mexc, uphold, or using a ChangeNow swap.
@@KaspaSilver actually I'm trying to transfer kas to my ledger live. But when I try to create a wallet on ledger, it shows me these options. I don't see kaspa on its own chain.

Do you think Kaspa has actually solved the trilemma? I tried to go through the ghostdag whitepaper but it's just kinda too complicated for an average person to understand. So are we just trusting them on what they claim?

Coins are always on the network. Kasvault is only something to interact with your coins because ledger stores your seed phrase.

It cannot. The website is completely open source. If you ever go to the website and it’s asking for your seed phrase this would be a scam website and you are on the wrong one. NEVER put your seed phrase anywhere online. This website will NEVER ask for seed phrase.
My thoughts exactly and I wonder why they half baked this. It’s the only crypto to not just have basic native Ledger integration. It’s a joke and looks terrible.
It’s built like this mainly cause ledger had someone else do most of the work that was apart of the Kaspa community so that we could have ledger work with kaspa faster. The website is fully open source and you can view the code so ensure it’s secured.
Hi, i have followed the steps and kaspa is on the kasvault web app but i can’t see the kaspa coin on the ledger in the ledger live. How can i see it in the ledger live?

Just how ledger decided to do it unfortunately. You download kaspa app from ledger live then use the website on Chrome and connect your ledger device.

Yeah, I know it sucks that it took this long for them to implement but didn’t even take the time to do everything. The website was built by someone in the kaspa community so that it would work with ledger. It will take more time for them to do all of it.
Ledger is great & all, but will Kaspa need to launch “Sophisticated Contracts” this year in order for us to lock in a high probability for 3-5$ this cycle… it also takes time for quality Dapps develop.
Also, since kas team doesn’t provide liquidity to CEX ( tao as well) the exchanges prefer to just list it in futures.

Honestly no one knows. ADA had no smart contracts and still got to its market cap last cycle so that’s not really a single factor to achieve this possibility.
Yes and no. All we need is the news of smart contracts coming and once it’s confirmed and given a roadmap with a launch date. The hype will take kaspa to new levels.

@@delarosae there will also be new shiny coins with marketing $ paid listings for tier 1s that could steal the hype & shine from Kas. 2-4$ would require all tier 1s to list (they seem to prefer its future’s profits over buying liquidity). ℹ dont know - sometimes it feels like the sure things in crypto are usually not the obvious ones. Kaspa is obviously superior tech & fair launched, thats why Solana wins.. u get what I’m saying 🤓

Kasvault looks great, unfortunately didn’t work for me on Chrome MacOS (Ledger not detected). Works fine on Windows
I just tried on mine and I did have some kind of issue but disconnecting your ledger and clear cache and deleting data from the site should fix it up. I got mine working now. But I usually use windows always and never have a problem.

I got the orange one for bitcoin but it's not even the same orange as the picture it's like a red orange

It is because ledger live could potentially collect data and kasvault is fully open source website that lets your interact with your kaspa that’s it
I don’t believe it is as secure as you have to enter a url and this can be compromised. I would prefer my data collected and be safe than run the risk of someone hacking the website

They didn’t create kaspa to be supporting on ledger live yet you can use kasvault though which is a fully open source website that works basically like ledger live it’s just on a website instead

hi sir, i have received kaspa from bitget exchange to kasvault using receive address of kasvault,but i am not able to receive kaspa from kasvault to ledger live wallet,i have mentioned the same address in send to address field.

Ledger live is not supported for kaspa yet. Only kasvault works.

@PakAlgerie ledger live does not have kaspa at all. They only have wrapped kaspa which is not the real thing. You download the kaspa app to your ledger then you get the address from kasvault after you connect your device to the website. This will be the only way you can see your kaspa for now
@@KaspaSilverAs per my knowledge kasvault is more like hardware wallet because it uses ledge device to authenticate and receive kaspa tokens and stores keys locally and kaspium is software based which stores keys on databases online.
How to move from cex to ladger ?
Follow the video to set up your kaspa address with ledger and then withdraw your kaspa from your exchange to the address you obtained via ledger.
So you say kaspa is not compatible with tangem/onekey, and in the end you show a list of videos for tangem/onekey that all have the kaspa logo in the thumbnails.
The seed phrase is not compatible with tangem or onekey. Not kaspa itself. If you make a seed phrase on ledger it will not work on onekey or tangem.

all this is too complicated and inconvenient, and lager is compromised. I don't understand why people still use it when there is a tangem? it is reliable, convenient, it does not need to be charged, it looks like an ordinary plastic card and everything is 10 times easier there! All these old wallets with miniature screens that need to be charged and connected to a computer, it totally sucks. . .
And Kaspium wallet is generally the most convenient storage and payment application that I have ever used in cryptography.
Some people have preferences. I personally like a seed phrase and generating a seed phrase with tangem is not the most secure way to generate it. Ledger is best for this and it’s also not compromised. It depends how you use ledger. If you are using ledger recover or connecting ledger wallet to dapps then yeah it can totally get compromised. If you use your ledger for simply holding then there is nothing to worry about.

Depends your preference if you like having a seed phrase then ledger is better for that. If you don’t care about having a seed phrase then tangem is best.

Yeah but a seed phrase on tangem essentially makes your wallet a hot wallet I would never recommend anyone to use the seed phrase method

Seed phrase is generated offline on a device that never connects to the internet with ledger. Tangem is not the case. It also defeats the purpose of tangem design to be used with a seed phrase that is why you get 2-3 cards.
