    Thank you! We just had this system installed today with three heads. We live in SW rural Oregon, so they will get used. Our old system was a regular heat pump with the old refrigerant and getting tired. It is so quiet!

    The heating mode is confusing - the blower runs for 2 mins and then it suddenly stops (even when I turn the fan speed to 100% instead of auto). I’ve had no issues with the cooling in the summer but could you tell me what are the best settings for heating the room in the winter?

    Are you sure that eye mode isn’t the “eco mode/occupancy sensor”.. I thought the same thing for awhile and then learned that hitting “set” until you see the little person is the “follow me” mode. Easiest way to tell is the hand held remote will display the room temp and the ductless unit will display “if on” the set temp

    Thanks for making the vid!
    The white fins on mine aren't moving properly. I can see by looking at yours mine just aren't functioning like they should. They stutter while moving instead of smoothly up and down when they do try to move. Both symbols for vertical & horizontal, leds are all lit. Swing is definitely set to on. I do love this system so much better than the oil furnace but I really need them to swing properly to move the warm air around.
    Any ideas what could be wrong?
    Hey, also, did you try to connect this to the Carrier CliMate App? Supposedly, we can control these units from the app, like schedule when to turn on and off, temp etc. I tried, but the app couldn't see or connect with the unit.
    The app only gets 2 out of 5 star reviews unfortunately so maybe that why it didn't connect.

      You have to get a WiFi dongle (usb stick) and plug it in the backside of the display at the indoor unit. Takes less than 5 min by an authorized service technician. They range from $200-$300+ installed.

      @@paulm850 Would I have to do this even though I have a 4 unit system? Each remote has an an LED wifi symbol on the screen when I press the "Set" button. It shows a moon, a person and wifi symbol. So, not wifi capable already?
      Omg if each one needs its own that would cost $1000.
      FYI, you know more than the HVAC guys that came to my house.

    A carrier installer just told me that the "boost" setting can't be used when in heat mode. I swear it did boost in heat mode. It lights the LED on.
    Boost isn't working on mine which is why I called them.
    Do you know if it should boost in heat mode or not? Thanks so much !

      You may have a bad remote or possibly a bad board. I would turn the breaker off that supplies power to the outdoor unit for 10 seconds to do a full reset.

    • @triptonmiller8532
      @triptonmiller8532 5 месяцев назад

      I'm having the same issue right now. It will not turn off and it is making alot of noise. Of course the repair offices are closed. I reset the breaker but that didn't help. It sounds like the hose is clogged. I looked everywhere to get the little square section off on the wall unit to try n unclog it but these carrier books are useless.

    Can you set these to kick on and off when desired temperature is reached? The manual is confusing..mine is a bryant brand...it just continues to run...unless we shut it off?

    • @paulm850
      @paulm850  6 месяцев назад +1

      The indoor fan will always run even at a low speed in order to pull air through the machine to register the temperature in the room. However, the outdoor unit will ramp up and ramp down or turn off as needed. I just set mine and forget it.
