Hey Paul! Thank you for the kind review! Would it be alright if we share this review on our social channels?
@@FourSeasonsSunroomsWindows feel free!
Thanks for this video. If I set the timer to go off in a certain number of hours and then turn back on in a certain number of hours, will that essentially be like having it set to a schedule every day? Or is it one time thing? Thanks!
God bless thanks brother
I'm trying to figure out how to control the horizontal movement of the internal louvers. I don't want to turn off the feature but I also don't want the louvers going all the way to the right. My head is close to a wall and it seems like a waste of heat to go that direction. I'd prefer to have the louvers go to the far left, then to the middle then back to the far left. Any suggestions on this?
To my understanding of the Follow me features is it uses the ambient mode at the remote vs the temperature at the head. The following blurb comes from the manual. Is this not the case? The FOLLOW ME function enables the remote control to measure the temperature at its current location and sends this signal to the air conditioner every 3 minutes. When using the AUTO, COOL or HEAT modes, measuring the ambient temperature from the remote controller (instead from the indoor unit itself) allows the air conditioner to optimize the temperature around the occupants to ensure maximum comfort.
The heating mode is confusing - the blower runs for 2 mins and then it suddenly stops (even when I turn the fan speed to 100% instead of auto). I’ve had no issues with the cooling in the summer but could you tell me what are the best settings for heating the room in the winter?
Mines in Celsius and I’m trying to switch to Fahrenheit, please help
Louvers wonʼt stay pointed down in heat mode. Once in awhile they will oscillate or stay in a position other than horizontal. But it always reverts back to horizontal. Makes it ałmost useless in the winter in our setup. Seems random - have tried every combo with the remote. Manual is worse than useless. Any help much appreciated!
I’m having the same problem. Isn’t the louvre supposed to stay where you set it. So frustrating the heat blows right over my head
good shit paul. id eat it
Nice looks good keep it up man 👍
Every time I try and set anything the light just flashes and nothing happens. I’m not even really sure how to search for a solution for that I’m so lost… :(
@@croutondetectingapparatus Sounds like you need to contact your authorize HVAC technician for a service call. It is possible you may have a bad indoor or outdoor surge board or bad electrical connection. Without a proper diagnosis, you won’t know for sure.
I appreciate you
What ways have you managed to get a read on the current temperature in the room with this ductless high wall unit? We never know what the temperature is in our main living space!
A carrier installer just told me that the "boost" setting can't be used when in heat mode. I swear it did boost in heat mode. It lights the LED on. Boost isn't working on mine which is why I called them. Do you know if it should boost in heat mode or not? Thanks so much !
@@Laura_B1111 www.shareddocs.com/hvac/docs/1009/Public/0A/OM-40MAQ-06.pdf Page 8 states turbo or boost mode works in heat and cool
Thanks for making the vid! The white fins on mine aren't moving properly. I can see by looking at yours mine just aren't functioning like they should. They stutter while moving instead of smoothly up and down when they do try to move. Both symbols for vertical & horizontal, leds are all lit. Swing is definitely set to on. I do love this system so much better than the oil furnace but I really need them to swing properly to move the warm air around. Any ideas what could be wrong? Hey, also, did you try to connect this to the Carrier CliMate App? Supposedly, we can control these units from the app, like schedule when to turn on and off, temp etc. I tried, but the app couldn't see or connect with the unit. The app only gets 2 out of 5 star reviews unfortunately so maybe that why it didn't connect.
You have to get a WiFi dongle (usb stick) and plug it in the backside of the display at the indoor unit. Takes less than 5 min by an authorized service technician. They range from $200-$300+ installed.
@@paulm850 Would I have to do this even though I have a 4 unit system? Each remote has an an LED wifi symbol on the screen when I press the "Set" button. It shows a moon, a person and wifi symbol. So, not wifi capable already? Omg if each one needs its own that would cost $1000. FYI, you know more than the HVAC guys that came to my house.
Oh Wow!! I bet it’s amazing!! I’ll have to try the recipe!
Out of ALL of the ridiculous 30 minute long videos on this , YOU JUST BLEW THEIR GOOFY ASS AWAY IN 15 SECONDS . THANK YOU PAL !!!!
Ugh I hate this thing. It’s on heat and heats for a while, then it blows cooler air at me. Why doesn’t it just mind its business once it gets to a nice temp? Also I can’t find my manual so I don’t know how to make it so air doesn’t blow right at me. I had to hang up a curtain in my living room to keep it from blowing at me. Thank you for trying to help us.
Looks good much better than the one I spent 1000 dollars on from Costco

Will this pair on with a variable speed heat pump?
@@austinhamby8699 most Variable speed heat pump condensers are communicating and require specific thermostats. This will work for single and 2-speed/ stage heat pump condensers matched with a single or variable speed indoor air handler
Those batteries can't get wet or theyveill catch on fire.
I gave a couple of these and I have moved and misplaced my charger cables. Can you tell me what size the replacement is. Thank you
I just clean the filter but now it seem to not be as cold and I’m lowering the temp to try and make it cold as before. Any suggestions?
is the remote also the actual thermostat?
@@KathrynHowe-o4g no, it reads the temperature from a sensor at the head unit on the wall to measure return temperature

Hi, could you tell me if the roof panels are corrugated from sheet material or are they 2 layer thick with styrofoam in between. Do the roof panels feel sturdy ? Thanks in advance
@@johnm3010 I believe they are 22 gauge 12” wide sheets, NO insulation or double layer. They are very sturdy and have held up to 75mph winds. I wouldn’t put any weight on them. I’ve had 1 small dent from a 11/2” pine limb falling 40’

Am I the only one who thinks this remote is so confusing
Hi, Your video very helpful, But I have a question I am renting an apartment, and have the carrier wall unit. When I turn on my unit the vent opens and closes again, and no air comes out can you tell me why what I'm doing wrong.
@@donnajackson4931 you possibly have a bad indoor circuit board. Consult your local carrier dealer for a technician to come out and properly diagnose.
@@donnajackson4931 also just try turning off the power at the breaker for a minute first
Did you ever figure it out? I’m having the same issue now
Speculation based on mine, but if it stops with two dashes on the display it might be multiple splits going to the same outdoor unit on different modes. The same outdoor condenser can't do heat/cold at the same time. Or if they are on Auto Mode sometimes it decides one split is enough and puts the others to sleep, so yeah don't use Auto.
