Sounds like you just reading the manufacturer' boots description. What about each brand's specific foot width and footprint? Or weight?
There are youtubeurs that ride the boots then review them in depth. So have a clear idea of the hill hold, snow feel, shock absorption, conform, warmth, adjustability, lacing system etc..
When talking about K2, you briefly touched on review gold when you described the typical shape of K2 footbed of wider toe box then narrowing...This should be mentioned for every boot and gives many of us who have trouble finding boots that fit appropriately so guidance as to which brands we should be looking at.

I'm learning to ride and got rather big calves. All boots i rented haven't felt as good. Mainly pushing edge of boot into calve muscle. Anything you can recommend?
As fit is ultimate priority for anyone not pro just looking to buy one boot to ride a few seasons, you should indicate if fit runs small or big etc. A standard cm foot guide would have been a measuring gauge.
