I found that There is a hole on each end of switch. Use small screw driver and pry up slightly as you release tabs. Makes switch removal even easier.

Thanks for the video. My 2011 F150 has the lock/unlock button on driver door that doesn't work at all. Do you recommend trying this fix? Thanks

No, I would just replace the switch. Its very inexpensive.

Have a similar issue going on with my 2013 F150. The key fob quit working to lock the drivers door. It locks and unlocks the passenger side just fine. Thought it could be the lock/unlock switch so I replaced it. Didn't make any difference. Still won't operate the lock on the drivers side. Having to use the key to manually lock the door. Kind of a pain. Thinking maybe it could be a broken wire somewhere but being a little mechanically challenged decided to give up on it.

Hmmm, wish I had an answer. One side works but the other side doesn't. So it must be a sensor with in the door. If the lock/unluck switch works on the driver door, then you know your getting power thru the sensor. I would look into replacing the sensor and that requires removing the door panel and following the wires from the switch backwards to see what it goes into.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I figured it was something like but was still hoping for a simple, quick fix. At least I can still lock/unlock the door with the key.

In that case I’d check the wiring in the loom… a switch is a switch but if it’s not working with the FOB it’s definetly a break in a wire

water, Ford made this vers of the f150 a mess. Water runs through the doors and that causes these issues.

Where’d you get the new switch?

Bought it directly from the Ford Dealer so I know I would have an exact fit. If there is no dealer near by, I would look in Amazon or EBay entering the part number in your search.
