Yes! I took the whole hour of this story right to my veins baby and it felt great! I needed a break from doing something so boring I was ready to poke out my eyes. This story is especially creepy because it is kind of like that isn't it? I know it's human nature to make a snap judgement...it's literally a built in feature used to protect us. Even crossing a busy street, our bodies communicate to each other without knowing it. That's how we avoid running into one another. It's just that people have become overly reliant on that and have taken it too far. Now, we see each other as categories instead of as humans with complex idea's and thoughts. It's sad how much we really miss out on one another.

Maybe this is cold hearted but.... that's what you get for hiking in a haunted forest with not a flashlight between you nor a weapon, not even a machete or even a Buck knife. 😋
At the least a flashlight. You can always find a nice hard stick in the woods.
But, I never leave the house without my pocket knife. ESPECIALLY if I'm going into the woods.
Thankfully it's just a story😊
That was pretty foolish. An overnight in the woods with no light source or way to protect yourself.
@@bobzthabarbarianHaving grown up in rural East Tennessee and living my adult live in NE Arkansas, I never go into the woods without a buck knife and my sidearm. If I'm going out for more than a simple day hike I'll take my AR and a second mag, along with my 9mm and a spare for it as well. Between black bears and the ever increasing boar population, it's important to be prepared. Also it's always a good idea to protect against any two legged threats as well..

I actually used to have a friend who was Wiccan, and although I never really understood what it meant and what his true beliefs and practices were, I do know that he was a very good person and I never even thought to judge him on his beliefs. CC has opened my eyes up a little to the foundation of Wiccan culture and it’s probably pretty interesting. But to be a part of a religion that makes you even more of a target than any other religion isn’t too appealing! One thing that I always respected about him was that even though he suffered with sickle cell anemia he simply would never take any medication or painkillers to help his condition. I suppose that he felt that his prayers would suffice and if that was his choice then so be it. I am but only human, and even though I’m a child of God in certainly not someone who is fit to judge anyone on their beliefs. That’s a huge reason why the two things that are best never discussed are religion and politics. It’s simply bound to create controversy.
Well done Dr Creepen! I definitely enjoyed this trip! Some of the turns were fairly easy to see coming, whilst others weren’t as clear and that makes for a great story. So another knocked out of the park by Corpsey and I give them full praise for their work! Thanks for bringing it to us all! 👏👏👏👍👍

The only question I have is who and how was anyone friends with freaking Todd? Guy was a dick the whole time and didn’t seem to have any chemistry with anyone.

Conflicted on the writing on this one. I kinda feel Todd was done dirty, and it has to do with the character building. It's said he's catholic. The narrator know him for years , and he was telling jokes that didn't have a malicious tone to them. Shawna could easily poke back at his beliefs, the narrator kept saying how he's kinda an ass , and his girlfriend breaks up with him , then he's revealed to be a member of a cult .
So my thinking is , if he was a member of this cult and really a bad guy the whole time , why would his gf not know and why wouldn't his persuasions be more abrasive earlier.
There is an allusion to the spirit of the hangman so maybe he wasn't a member of the cult , but was easily swayed by the supernatural and fell into ranks with them,
Not sure really , but this Wicken good catholic bad mesage also seems off , zealot/ cult bellif, regardless, should be the take away ,

@@Newsbro89 Todd was in the end a terrible person. Up untill it was revealed he was a member of the cult , I don't think he was believably villainous. Making jokes about Wicken belief and killing people are 2 very different levels of behavior. No one, not the narrator, Todd's girlfriend or anyone know that Todd was a member of this cult. I'm asking, how ? And pointing out if he was always a cultist and that awful, why didn't anybody he was spending time with pick up on it more strongly? Thr narrator says he can be a bit of an ass , but noone says they feel mallace or uncomfortable around him , just that his jokes or insensitive and he's a bit of a dick for them. Now was there some supernatural influence of the location that influenced him to become a cultist immediately? The writing is not clear , Todd goes from maybe a 3 to 10 really quick and I don't feel the story justifies it.
Nah, Todd's a very believable kind of monster. Far too many who make jokes of non-Christian faiths excuse or do horrid shit.
@@alexpinkston8095 there are jokes , and there is murder. There is taking things in stride , and too seriously. Anyone of any belief can be too deep in their own system to have sympathy or anything for those they consider the out group. The way Todd talks in the start of thr story , and the end of the story are very different. Presumably he's been friends and aware of the narrators friendship with a witch for a while , at least highschool for thr narrator. Todd goes from joking to killing, that's a big step and it's not a believable step. If the author wanted Todd to be more believably a killer, so it's not out of left field , it should have been built better, not just his friends thinking he's bring a bit too rude about the witch's practices.

Every time I hear someone read this story, I hate it. I usually love Corpse Childs stuff. But, as someone who loves Jesus, I'm getting a little tired of the whole Christians bad- Witches and Satanists good rhetoric. And FYI......that spiritual intuition is always to be listened to. When you feel a big NOPE in your spirit. You heed that warning. It's from God. We all have that innate ability. This is the dumb group of people in the horror movie that you're yelling at through the tv.
It's not from any god. Just echoes of dead conmen. Don't like a little pushback in stories? Don't listen, just leave.
