Posting this here for quick reference (I'm struggling to find this info anywhere).
For travel adjust on the 29er helm MK2
    0 spacers = 160mm travel
    1 spacer = 150mm travel
    2 spacers = 140mm travel
    3 spacers = 130mm travel

Thanks Steve. The coil instructions from the manual show 4 spacers for 130mm travel.
I know that's different from air spring setup but it really had me scratching my head because they look so similar.

    Great video!
I'm waiting for my new bicycle with Cane Creek Helm MK II.
I have a couple of questions.
    1) When I should consider this Travel Adjustment? For very long tours?
    2) When to service Cane Creek Helm MK fork? I usually ride 5000 km per year, mostly flat surface.
    Thanks

Hi! We don't have a video for DB Kitsuma service; however, we do have all of our Kitsuma service documented here: canecreek.com/suspension-service/

I'm confused. All the advertising blurb states the MK2 uses 2.5 weight oil and yet this service video quotes 15 weight which was surely what the MK1 used. One is wrong.

Does adjusting the travel also change the axle-to-crown measurement and is that data available?

    • @CaneCreekCycling
      @CaneCreekCycling  Месяц назад +1

Hi. The answer is yes. Any time you change the travel in the fork, let's say by 10mm, the axle to crown measurement will change (+ or -) that amount as well. This data is on the Helm Spec sheet as well.

My rebound knob doesn’t accept an 18mm socket like in the video because one face (where the grub screws in) isn’t flat? Have to use a spanner (wrench) instead
