The Malay knew if the didn't kick out singapore they would be ruled by a foreign culture and they would be the minority. It's a good thing they did considering the way south east asians have been treating minorities afterwards up to this day. Some cultures unfortunately are inferior, despite people don't like to hear about it and call it racism, as they still have to prove themselves of being advanced.
